1. Anwendung des Ableiters
Dieser Überspannungs-Ableiter ist als Überspan-
nungsfeinschutz gemäß dem Anwenderhandbuch
"Gebäudesystemtechnik" (ZVEI/ZVEH) Kapitel
4.5.3 konzipiert.
KNX-Komponenten sind bezüglich ihrer Grundstör-
festigkeit nach dem Standard DIN EN 61000-6-2
2019-11 ausgelegt. Diese Prüfung stellt sicher,
daß die Einzelkomponenten eine Stoßspannung
bis zu 2 kV ungeschädigt überstehen. Der US 1
KNX ist einzusetzen, wenn aufgrund der Topologie
und der elektromagnetischen Umgebung des KNX-
Systems mit dem Auftreten von Störpegeln >2kV
zu rechnen ist.
Achtung:
Ein geeigneter Überspannungsschutz für die
Stromversorgung (Power supply) muß zusätzlich
vorhanden sein.
Wir empfehlen z. B. den Einsatz von DEHNguard im
Blitz-Schutzzonen-Konzept.
2. Sicherheitshinweise
Der US 1 KNX darf nur von einer Elektrofachkraft
unter Berücksichtigung der DINVDE-Bestimmungen
eingesetzt werden.Sein Einsatz ist nur im Rahmen der
in dieser Einbauanleitung genannten und gezeigten
Bedingungen zulässig.
Bei Anwendung des Gerätes außerhalb der in den
technischen Daten genannten Betriebsbedingungen
kann es zur Beeinträchtigung der Funktion kommen.
Für diesen Fall ist die Beschädigung von nachgeschal-
teten Geräten möglich.
Vor dem Einbau ist der durch die ElektroUS 1 KNX -
fachkraft auf äußere Beschädigungen zu kontrollieren.
Sollte bei dieser Kontrolle eine Beschädigung oder
ein sonstiger Mangel festgestellt werden, darf der
US 1 KNX nicht eingebaut werden. Besonders sei
darauf hingewiesen, daß das Öffnen und sonstiger
Geräteeingriff aus Sicherheitsgründen unzulässig ist
und zum Erlöschen der Gewährleistung führt.
3. Einbauort
Zum Schutz eines einzelnen Busankopplers wird der
US 1 KNX an Stelle der konventionellen Busklemme
in den Bus ankoppler eingesteckt.
Für den Schutz einer kompletten Verteilung werden
alle ankommenden und abgehenden Busleitungen mit
diesem Überspannungs-Ableiter versehen.
Bei Busankopplern der Ausführung N oder REG
(Busanschluß über Datenschiene) ist der US 1 KNX
am Verbinder (Rail connector) eingesteckt.
4. Anschluß
Da der im Gegensatz zur konventionellen US 1 KNX
Busklemme ein Durchschleifen der Busleitung nicht
zuläßt, ergeben sich 2 prinzipielle Anschlußmöglich-
keiten (siehe Bild 1 und 2).
Sollten beide Möglichkeiten gegeben sein, so ist die
Variante entsprechend Bild 1 vorzuziehen, da sie eine
erhöhte Schutzwirkung bietet.
Warning:
Ensure that the colours of the connecting leads (red
and black) are not reversed when connecting the
US 1 KNX. This also applies to the installation of
the complete KNX system. The green/yellow earth
conductor is to be earthed by the shortest possible
route (e. g. to protection earth).
The US 1 KNX is to be checked by the electrician
for signs of external damage before installation. The
US 1 KNX is not to be installed if damage or other
defects are detected in this check.
Opening or otherwise tampering with the equipment
is strictly prohibited for safety reasons and invalidates
the warranty.
3. Installation Location
The US 1 KNX is inserted into the bus coupler in
place of the conventional bus terminal to protect a
single bus coupler. All the incoming and outgoing
bus lines are tted with this overvoltage arrester to
protect a complete distribution system.
The US 1 KNX is inserted at the rail connect or
for version N or REG (bus connection via data rail)
bus couplers.
4. Connection
As the in contrast to the conventionalUS 1 KNX
bus terminal does not permit through looping of
the bus line, two basic connections are possible
(see Fig. 1 and 2).
If both connections are possible, the version shown
in Fig. 1 is to be preferred since if offers a higher
degree of protection.

Achtung:
Beim Anschluß des US 1 KNX ist darauf zu achten,
daß, wie auch bei der Installation des KNX-Gesamt-
systems, die Farben der Anschlußleitungen (rot und
schwarz) nicht vertauscht werden.
Der grün/gelbe Erdungsleiter ist auf möglichst kurzem
Wege zu erden (z. B. an Schutzleiter).

1. Arrester Application
This overvoltage arrester is designed to provide
overvoltage ne protection in accordance with
Chapter 4.5.3 of the "Building systems" user manual
(ZVEI/ZVEH).
KNX components are designed to the DIN EN
61000-6-2 2019-11 standard in terms of their
intrinsic immunity. This test ensures that the individual
components can withstand a surge voltage of up
to 2 kV without damage. The is to beUS 1 KNX
used where the occurrence of noise levels > 2 kV is
expected due to the topology and electromagnetic
environment of the KNX system.
Warning:
Suitable overvoltage protection must also be provided
for the power supply.
2. Safety Instructions
The US 1 KNX is only to be installed by a trained elec-
trician in accordance with the DIN VDE Regulations.
Its use is only permitted under the conditions stated
and shown in these installation instructions.
