TheLM3421andLM3423familyofdevicesare

versatilehighvoltageN-channelMOSFETcontrollers

forLEDdrivers.Theycanbeeasilyconfiguredin

buck,boost,buck-boostandSEPICtopologies.This

flexibility,alongwithaninputvoltageratingof75V,

makesthethesecontrollersidealforilluminating

LEDsinalargefamilyofapplications.

Adjustablehigh-sidecurrentsensevoltageallowsfor

tightregulationoftheLEDcurrentwiththehighest

efficiencypossible.TheLM3421andLM3423devices

usepredictiveoff-time(PRO)control,whichisa

combinationofpeakcurrent-modecontrolanda

predictiveoff-timer.Thismethodofcontroleasesthe

designofloopcompensationwhileprovidinginherent

inputvoltagefeed-forwardcompensation.

TheLM3421andLM3423devicesincludeahigh-

voltagestart-upregulatorthatoperatesoverawide

inputrangeof4.5Vto75V.TheinternalPWM

controllerisdesignedforadjustableswitching

frequenciesofupto2MHz,thusenablingcompact

solutions.
