TheADS1287Ddeviceisadual,simultaneous-

sampling,analog-to-digitalconverter(ADC),withan

integratedprogrammablegainamplier(PGA)and

nite-impulse-response(FIR)digitallter.TheADCis

suitableforthedemandingneedsoflow-power,

seismicdataacquisition.

TheADCfeaturesaprogrammable-gain,high-

impedanceampliersuitablefordirectconnectionof

geophoneandhydrophonesensorstotheADCover

awiderangeofinputsignals(±2.5Vto±0.156V).

Dual100-nAcurrentsourcesareintegratedintothe

ADCinputsforeldtestingofsensors.

TheADCincorporatesafourth-order,inherently

stable,delta-sigma()modulator.ThemodulatorΔΣ

digitaloutputislteredanddecimatedbytheinternal

FIRdigitalltertoyieldtheADCconversionresult.

TheFIRdigitallterprovidesdataratesupto1000

samplespersecond(SPS).Thehigh-passlter

(HPF)removesDCandlow-frequencycomponents

fromtheconversionresult.On-chipgainandoset

scalingregisterssupportsystemcalibration.

Totaldevicepowerconsumptionis4.4mW.TheADC

ispackagedinacompact5-mm×5-mmVQFN

packageandisfullyspeciedoverthe–40°Cto

+85°Ctemperaturerange.
