TheADS1118-Q1isaprecision,lowpower,16-bit

analog-to-digitalconverter(ADC)thatprovidesall

featuresnecessarytomeasurethemostcommon

sensorsignals.TheADS1118-Q1integratesa

programmablegainamplifier(PGA),voltage

reference,oscillator,andhigh-accuracytemperature

sensor.Thesefeatures,alongwithawidepower-

supplyrangefrom2Vto5.5V,makethe

ADS1118-Q1ideallysuitedforpower-andspace-

constrained,sensor-measurementapplications.

TheADS1118-Q1performsconversionsatdatarates

upto860samplespersecond(SPS).ThePGAoffers

inputrangesfrom±256mVto±6.144V,allowing

bothlargeandsmallsignalstobemeasuredwith

highresolution.Aninputmultiplexer(mux)allows

measurementoftwodifferentialorfoursingle-ended

inputs.Thehigh-accuracytemperaturesensorisused

forsystem-leveltemperaturemonitoring,orcold-

junctioncompensationforthermocouples.

TheADS1118-Q1operateseitherincontinuous-

conversionmode,orinasingle-shotmodethat

automaticallypowersdownafteraconversion.

Single-shotmodesignificantlyreducescurrent

consumptionduringidleperiods.Dataaretransferred

throughaserialperipheralinterface(SPI™).The
