• The Retrot Kit includes LED tube, instruction, eld-applied label.

• The product is intended to retrot Type IC or non-IC recessed mount listed

luminaires with instructions to remove the existing trim.

• This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code

by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the

hazards involved.

• WARNING: Risk of re or electric shock. The electrical rating of these products

are 120-277V, the installer must determine whether they have 120-277V at the

luminaire before installation.

• WARNING: LED Retrot Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical

systems. If not qualied, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualied electrician.

• WARNING: Install this kit only in the luminaires that has the construction features

and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings.

• WARNING: To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges

of sheet metal or other sharp objects. Do not make or alter any open holes in an

enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.

• WARNING: To avoid potential re or shock hazard, do not use this retrot kit in luminaires employing shunted bi-pin lamp holders.

• Installers should not disconnect existing wires from lamp holder terminals to make new connections at lamp holder terminals. Instead

installers should cut existing lamp holder leads away from the lamp holder and make new electrical connections to lamp holder lead

wires by employing applicable connectors.

• Do not use with dimmers.

• For use in dry and damp locations only.

• Suitable for Type IC or non-IC recessed luminaires with through-branch wiring marked “Max. 4 of 12AWG conductors.”

• This device is not intended for use with emergency exits.

STEP 1: Remove trim/lens and existing lamp(s) from surface/

recessed xture. Un-install xture housing from junction box

and disconnect the Load and Neutral wires.

STEP 2: Cut the Load (L) and Neutral wire (N) or (L1) from

the ballast leaving an enough wire to reconnect the

120-277V power source. (Figure 1)

STEP 3: Cut all four socket wires on opposite side of

ballast. (Figure 1)

STEP 4: Remove the ballast from xture housing, discard

or recycle.

STEP 5: Strip the Load and Neutral wires from the rst set

of wires that were cut off from the main feed power line

and connect to group wires from the socket. Connect the

Load (L) wires from the socket to power source. Connect

the Neutral (N) or (L1) wires from the socket to the Neutral

from power source.

STEP 6: Use wire nuts to connect the grouped wires from

the previous step to the wires leading to the 120-277V.

STEP 7: Apply re-lamping label on a visible location inside

the xture.

STEP 8: Turn power on at the breaker panel and turn light

switch on.
