Ten Space 500 Series Rack

Usage Notes
The R10 has 10 x 500 series slots, with ample power, and both XLR and TRS inputs and outputs in a
rackmountable 3RU steel chassis. To use the R10, carefully slide each 500 series module in such that the
edge connector card fits snuggly into the slot in the back, and tighten both front panel screws for each
module. The current draw meter will display the total current being used by the installed modules. The
R10 has dual XLR and TRS inputs and outputs. With regard to the parallel XLR and TRS connectors, it is
recommended to connect ONLY ONE input on a given channel at a time (including to a patchbay). For the
outputs, it is generally not problematic to use both outputs to send a signal to two different destinations,
however for different modules, longer cable runs and different destinations, using both outputs in parallel
may cause issues, so be aware when using both outputs simultaneously.
Link
To enable VCA linking between modules, reset the corresponding jumper located by the card slots to the
LINK position. The linking function is set in pairs so that you can link channels 1-2, 3-4, ....etc.. The link func-
tion is typically used to link the VCA circuitry of compressors (such as our 543 module). Most other types of
modules are not linkable unless specifically noted by the manufacturer.
