Installing the NRG-FR1 and NRG-FR1-LCP
Source Cabling
Connect a 75ohm coaxial cable with
HD-BNC connectors between a source
device and an connector on the back INPUT
panel of the NRG router.
Ensure the bayonet connector is locked in
place correctly.
Repeat for each additional source device.

Connect an additional power supply unit

Setting the IP Address

Launch DashBoard on your PC desktop.
Select > File Show Walkabout.
Click Refresh.
Locate the NRG router in the Walkabout table.
Use the field to specify the IP address. The default Address
is 192.168.20.141. Note: The NRG does not support Unicode characters.
Click .Reboot

1GbE Network Cabling

LAN or Network 1GbE Connections
Plug an Ethernet cable from your network into
the port. This is the primary ETHERNET
network connection for the router.
Note: The router must be connected to the same
network as the other devices in your routing system.
Reference Cabling

Connect a 75ohm coaxial cable with
HD-BNC connectors between the video
reference signal output and the top REF
port on the NRG.
Use a 75ohm coaxial cable with HD-BNC
connectors to connect a loop to the bottom
REF port on the NRG to the next device in
the system terminate using an 75ohm or
HD-BNC terminator, if end of reference link.

Rack Mounting

Mount the router in the rack frame by means
of four rack screws fastened through the
front mounting ears.
CAUTION: Adequate ventilation within a rack
frame must be maintained. Ensure side to side
ventilation is not compromised. Refer to the

Power Cabling

Connect the male end of the power
cable to the socket.PWR 1
Connect the other end of the power
cable to the power supply unit.
Connect the power supply to a suitable
AC mains supply.

NOTICE:
The NRG router does not have
a power switch.
The NRG router
automatically powers on when AC power
is applied.
CAUTION
Ensure to connect the DC Power cord of the power supply to the
PWR port on the NRG chassis before connecting the power supply
to the power source.
WARNING
The power supply connector of the NRG power supply module
must be fully inserted into the NRG PWR port and the locking
collar fully secured before use. Failure to do so may damage the
PWR port on the NRG chassis.

Connect a 75ohm coaxial cable with
HD-BNC connectors between a
destination device and an OUTPUT
connector on the back panel of the NRG
router.
Ensure the bayonet connector is locked
in place correctly.
Repeat for each additional destination
device.

Connect a cable to the port that DP
supports DisplayPort v1.2A.
If a reference is not connected to the NRG,
the Multiviewer Head output on the port DP
outputs 1080p 59.94Hz (NTSC) or 1080p
50Hz (PAL) by default. To connect the DP
port to a 1080p 60Hz monitor, a reference
must be first connected to the NRG (see
step 3).
For port monitoring, ensure the monitor DP
supports the routed format.
