Installationsanweisung
Das Überspannungsschutzgerät DT-LAN-CAT.6+ schützt EDV- und Telekommunikati-
onsanlagen vor Ăśberspannungen.
Setzen Sie den Schutzadapter unmittelbar vor dem zu schützenden Gerät in den Lei-
tungszug ein. Der Schutzadapter besitzt als Anschluss an der Ein- und Ausgangsseite
je eine RJ45-Buchse (Modular Jack). Mit dem als Zubehör erhältlichen Kabel kann die
Verbindung zwischen der OUT-Buchse des Schutzgerätes und der Datenan-
schlussbuchse des Endgerätes hergestellt werden.
LeitungsfĂĽhrung und Potenzialausgleich
Verlegen Sie geschĂĽtzte und ungeschĂĽtzte Leitungen nicht unmittelbar nebeneinander.
Als ungeschĂĽtzte Leitungen gelten auch Potenzialausgleichsleitungen.
Verlegen Sie daher die „geschützte“ Datenleitung, die vom Schutzgerät zum Endgerät
führt, nicht unmittelbar parallel zu den „ungeschützten“ Anschlussleitungen des Endge-
rätes oder zu separat angeschlossenen Potenzialausgleichsleitern. Die Erdung kann
direkt auf der Tragschiene NS 35 erfolgen oder mit dem PE-Kabel 5 direkt an dem
geerdetem Gehäuse des zu schützenden Gerätes.
Allgemeine Informationen
Eine wirkungsvolle Schutzmaßnahme für überspannungsgefährdete Geräte muss
neben dem besonders empfindlichen Datenleitungsbereich auch die Niederspannungs-
versorgung und MSR-Schnittstellen berĂĽcksichtigen. Der Phoenix Contact-Katalog

Bei Öffnen des Gerätes erlischt der Gewährleistungsanspruch gegenüber dem Herstel-
ler.

Installation instructions
The surge voltage protection adapter DT-LAN-CAT.6+ protects EDP devices from surge
voltages.
Mount the protective adapter immediately before the equipment to be protected, in the
conductor. The protective adapter has an RJ45 socket (modular jack). Using a cable
available as accessory, the connection between the OUT socket of the protective
device and the data connection socket of the terminal device can be established.
Conductor Routing and Equipotential Bonding
Do not lay protected and unprotected lines directly parallel to each other.
Equipotential leads are also considered to be unprotected conductors.
Do not lay the “protected” data line, leading from the protective device to the
terminal device, directly parallel to the “unprotected” connection lines of the
terminal device or to separately connected equipotential leads. Grounding can be car-
ried out directly on the DIN rail NS 35 or with PE cable 5 on the grounded housing
of the device to be protected.
General Information
Effective protection for equipment susceptible to damage caused by surge voltages
must not only take into account the particularly sensitive area of data lines but also the
low-voltage supply and MCR interfaces. Detailed information can be found in the
Phoenix Contact TRABTECH catalog.
The manufacturer’s warranty no longer applies if the device is opened.

Instructions d'installation
L'adaptateur de protection DT-LAN-CAT.6+ protège les appareils électroniques de la
surtension.
Insérez l’adaptateur de protection dans la ligne juste avant l’appareil à protéger
.
L'adaptateur de protection est équipé d'un jack modulaire femelle RJ 45 côtés entrée et
sortie pour son raccordement. Un câble disponible sous forme d'accessoire permet
d'Ă©tablir la liaison entre la prise femelle OUT de l'appareil de protection et celle de
l'interface de données de l'appareil terminal.
Pose des lignes et equipotentialité
Les lignes protégées et les lignes non protégées, qui incluent aussi les lignes du
système d’équipotentialité, ne doivent pas être posées parallèles les unes à côtés des
autres.
Il ne faut donc pas poser la ligne de données "protégée", qui relie le module de protec-
tion à l’appareil terminal, directement parallèle aux lignes "non protégées" de l’appareil
terminal ou à des conducteurs d’équipotentialité raccordés à part. La mise à la terre
peut être réalisée directement sur le profilé spécial NS 35 ou à l'aide du câble PE 5
directement sur le boîtier mis à la terre de l'appareil à protéger.
Généralités
Pour protéger efficacement les appareils menacés par des surtensions, il faut non seu-
lement tenir compte des lignes de données, particulièrement sensibles, mais aussi de
l’alimentation basse tension et des interfaces MCR (Mesure-Contrôle-Régulation). Vous

El adaptador de protecciĂłn contra sobretensiones DT-LAN-CAT.6+ protege aparatos
de procesamiento electrĂłnico de datos (EDV) contra sobretensiones.
Inserte el adaptador de protecciĂłn en la lĂnea, directamente delante del aparato a pro-
teger. El adaptador de protecciĂłn contiene como conexiĂłn en el lado de entrada y de
salida una hembra RJ 45 (Modular Jack). Con un cable disponible como accesorio
puede realizarse la conexiĂłn entre la hembra OUT del mĂłdulo de protecciĂłn y la hem-
bra de conexiĂłn de datos del aparato final.
ConducciĂłn del cableado y conexiĂłn equipotencial
No disponga las lĂneas protegidas y las no protegidas unas al lado de las otras en con-
ducciĂłn paralela. Los conductores para la conexiĂłn equipotencial se consideran tam-
biĂ©n como lĂneas no protegidas.
A tal efecto, no disponga la lĂnea de datos "protegida", que conduce del mĂłdulo de pro-
tecciĂłn al aparato final, directamente en conducciĂłn paralela a las lĂneas de conexiĂłn
"no protegidas" del aparato final o a los conductores de conexiĂłn equipotencial conec-
tados por separado. La puesta a tierra puede efectuarse directamente en el carril
simétrico NS 35, o bien con el cable PE 5 directamente en la carcasa puesta a tierra
del aparato a proteger.
