Ceiling Mount Speakers

These instructions are intended for installers

with sufﬁcient knowledge in 100 V technolo-

gy for PA applications. Please read the instruc-

tions carefully prior to installation and keep

them for later reference.

1 Applications

These ceiling mount speakers are designed for PA

applications of small power. They are suitable for

speech and background music. The EDL-82 / WS

is especially designed for the use in PA systems

operat ing with 100 V technique, and the series

SPE-82 especially for audio system operated with

4 Ω speakers.

2 Important Notes for the Safe Installation

The speaker corresponds to all relevant directives of

the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The speaker is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-

tect it against dripping water and splash water,

high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient

temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the speaker and no liabil-

ity for any resulting personal damage or material

dam age will be accepted if the speaker is used

for other purposes than originally intended, if it

is not expertly mounted or correctly connected,

or if it is over loaded.

If the speaker is to be put out of operation

deﬁnitively, take it to a local recycling plant

or a disposal which is not harmful to the

environment.

For the EDL-82 / WS it is imperative to observe addi-

tionally the following :warnings

WARNING During operation, there is a hazard

of contact with a voltage of up to

100 V at the connection cable. The

installation must be made by skilled

personnel only.

Observe the correct power matching. The total

power of all speakers connected must not ex-

ceed the ampliﬁer power. An incorrect power

matching will destroy the PA ampliﬁer!

3 Installation

1) Saw out a mounting hole with a diameter of

96 mm. The following mounting depth must be

available: EDL-82 = 98 mm; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Make the connections to the audio system. In

case of the EDL-82 / WS connect the speaker via

the transformer input: Connect the black core

and one of the other coloured cores, which

corresponds to the desired rated power by the

speaker, to the output of the PA ampliﬁer.

3) With the connection of several speakers observe

that all speakers are polarized in the same way

(black core = negative pole).

4) Bend the mounting springs upward up to the

stop and keep them in this position.

Attention, Risk of injury! Springs are

under tension, hold tight!

5) Insert the springs into the mounting cutout and

let the speaker slide carefully into the cutout for

a ﬂush ﬁtting.

Decken-Einbaulautsprecher

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure,

die ausreichende Fachkenntnisse in der 100-V-

Beschallungstechnik besitzen. Bitte lesen Sie die

Anleitung vor der Installation gründlich durch

und heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Verwendungsmöglichkeiten

Diese Decken-Einbaulautsprecher sind für die Be-

schallung mit kleinen Leistungen konzipiert. Sie sind

für Sprache und Hintergrundmusik geeignet. Der

EDL-82 / WS ist speziell für den Einsatz in ELA-Anla-

gen konzipiert, die mit 100-V-Technik arbeiten und

die Serie SPE-82 speziell für Audio-Anlagen, die mit

4-Ω-Lautsprechern betrieben werden.

2 Wichtige Hinweise für den sicheren Einbau

Der Lautsprecher entspricht allen relevanten Richt-

linien der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Der Lautsprecher ist nur zur Verwendung im In-

nenbereich geeignet. Schützen Sie ihn vor Tropf-

und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze

(zu lässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trocke-

nes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien

oder Wasser.

•

Wird der Lautsprecher zweckentfremdet, nicht

fachgerecht montiert, falsch angeschlossen oder

überlastet, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine Ga-

rantie für den Lautsprecher übernommen werden.

Soll der Lautsprecher endgültig aus dem

Betrieb genommen werden, übergeben

Sie ihn zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung

einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.

Für den EDL-82 / WS unbedingt zusätzlich die fol-

genden Warnhinweise beachten:

WARNUNG Im Betrieb liegt berührungsgefährli-

che Spannung bis 100 V an der An-

schlussleitung an. Die Installation darf

nur durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.

Achten Sie auf eine richtige Anpassung der

Leistung. Die Summe der Leistungen aller an-

geschlossenen Lautsprecher darf die Verstärker-

leistung nicht überschreiten. Eine falsche Anpas-

sung führt zur Zerstörung des ELA-Verstärkers!

3 Installation

1) Einen Montageausschnitt mit einem Durchmesser

von 96 mm aussägen. Folgende Einbautiefe muss

verfügbar sein: EDL-82 = 98 mm; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Die Anschlüsse zur Audio-Anlage herstellen. Den

Lautsprecher EDL-82 / WS über den Transformat-

oreingang anschließen: Die schwarze Ader und

eine der anderen farbigen Adern, die der ge-

wünschten Nennbelastung durch den Lautspre-

cher entspricht, mit dem Ausgang des ELA-Ver-

stärkers verbinden.

3) Beim Anschluss von mehreren Lautsprechern

darauf achten, dass die Lautsprecher alle gleich

gepolt werden (schwarze Ader = Minuspol).

4) Die Montagefedern nach oben bis zum Anschlag

biegen und in dieser Position festhalten.

Achtung, Verletzungsgefahr – die ge-

spannten Federn gut festhalten!

5) Die Federn in den Montageausschnitt einsetzen,

und den Lautsprecher vorsichtig in den Aus-

schnitt gleiten lassen, bis er bündig anliegt.

Altoparlanti per il montaggio

in sofﬁtti

Queste istruzioni sono rivolte agli installatori che

possiedono delle conoscenze speciﬁche sufﬁcien-

ti della tecnica di sonorizzazione a 100 V. Vi pre-

ghiamo di leggerle attentamente prima dell‘in-

stallazione e di conservarle per un uso futuro.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questi altoparlanti per il montaggio in sofﬁtti sono

stati realizzati per la sonorizzazione a bassa po-

tenza. Sono adatti per la voce e per la musica di

sottofondo. La EDL-82 / WS è prevista specialmente

per l’impiego in impianti PA con uscita audio 100 V,

mentre la serie SPE-82 è adatta per impianti audio

che lavorano con altoparlanti di 4 Ω.

2 Avvertenze di sicurezza

L’altoparlante è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevan-

ti dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

L’altoparlante è previsto solo per l’uso all’interno

di locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli

spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calo-

re (temperatura d’impiego ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti

chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di montaggio sbaglia-

to, di collegamenti sbagliati o di sovraccarico

dell’altoparlante, non si assume nessuna respon-

sabilità per eventuali danni consequenziali a per-

sone o a cose e non si assume nessuna garanzia

per l’altoparlante.

Se si desidera eliminare l’altoparlante deﬁ-

nitivamente, consegnarlo per lo smaltimen-

to ad un’istituzione locale per il riciclaggio.

Per la EDL-82 / WS si devono rispettare assolutamen-

te le seguenti :avvertenze

AVVERTIMENTO Durante il funzionamento, al cavo

di collegamento è presente una

tensione pericolosa ﬁno a 100 V.

L’installazione deve essere fatta

solo da personale qualiﬁcato.

Fare attenzione al corretto adattamento della po-

tenza. La somma delle potenze di tutti gli alto-

parlanti collegati non deve superare la potenza

dell’ampliﬁcatore. L’adattamento errato provoca

la distruzione dell’ampliﬁcatore PA!

3 Installazione

1) Praticare un’apertura con un diametro di 96 mm.

La profondità utile deve essere: 98 mm per

EDL-82 e 57 mm per SPE-82.

2) Eseguire i collegamenti con l’impianto audio.

Nella EDL-82 / WS eseguire il collegamento at-

traverso l’ingresso del trasformatore: collegare

il conduttore nero e uno degli altri conduttori

colorati, a seconda della potenza desiderata per

l’altoparlante, con l’uscita dell’ampliﬁcatore PA.

3) Se si collegano più altoparlanti fare attenzione

che la polarità sia uguale per tutti (conduttore

nero = negativo).

4) Spingere le molle di sostegno in alto ﬁno all’ar-

resto e tenerle ferme.

Attenzione a non farsi male – tener

ben ferme le molle tese!

5) Inserire le molle nell’apertura di montaggio e

spingere l’altoparlante delicatamente in alto ﬁn-

ché si trova a livello del sofﬁtto.

Haut-parleurs PA de plafond

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs possédant

des connaissances sufﬁsantes en technique de

sonorisation ligne 100 V. Veuillez lire la présente

notice avec attention avant l‘installation et conser-

vez-la pour pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ces haut-parleurs de plafond PA sont conçus pour

des sonorisations de petites puissances et bien

adaptés pour la musique d’ambiance et les discours.

Le EDL-82 / WS est spécialement développée pour

une installation dans des systèmes de sonorisation

PA, fonctionnant en ligne 100 V ; la série SPE-82

est spécialement conçue pour les installations audio

fonctionnant avec des haut-parleurs en 4 Ω.

2 Conseils de sécurité

Le haut-parleur répond à toutes les directives nécessaires

de l’Union Européenne et porte donc le symbole .

•

Le haut-parleur n’est conçu que pour une utili-

sation en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de

projections d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une hu-

midité d’air élevée et de la chaleur (plage de tem-

pérature de fonctionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).

•

Pour le nettoyage, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec

et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le

haut-parleur est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment ins tallé ou branché, ou s’il y a surcharge ; en

outre, la garantie deviendrait caduque.

Lorsque le haut-parleur est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, vous devez le déposer

dans une usine de recyclage adaptée pour

contribuer à son élimination non polluante.

AVERTISSEMENT

Pendant le fonctionnement, une

tension de contact dangereuse

jusqu’à 100 V est présente au câble

de branchement. Seul un personnel

qualiﬁé peut effectuer l’installation !

Veillez à respecter l’adaptation correcte de la puis-

sance. La somme des puissances de tous les haut-

parleurs reliés ne doit pas dépasser la puissance

de l’ampliﬁcateur. Une adaptation incorrecte peut

en dom mager l’ampliﬁcateur Public Adress.

3 Montage

1) Découpez dans le plafond un trou de diamètre

96 mm. La profondeur de montage suivante doit

être disponible : EDL-82 = 98 mm ; SPE-82 = 57 mm.

2) Effectuez les branchements à l’installation audio.

Pour le EDL-82 / WS, reliez le haut-parleur via

l’entrée transformateur : connectez le conduc-

teur noir et un conducteur d’une autre couleur,

correspondant à la puissance nominale par le

haut-parleur, à la sortie de l’ampliﬁcateur PA.

3) Lorsque plusieurs haut-parleurs sont branchés,

veillez à ce que les haut-parleurs aient tous la

même polarité (conducteur noir = pôle moins).

4) Pliez les ressorts de montage vers le haut et

maintenez-les dans cette position.

Attention : danger de blessures, main-

tenez les ressorts pliés fermement !

5) Insérez les ressorts dans le trou de montage et

faites glisser, avec précaution, le haut-parleur

jusqu’à ce qu’il soit au même niveau.
