IMPORTANT
The function of the RED and YELLOW wires is
reversed for the vehicles listed below. Yellow
connects to Ignition and Red connects to 12V
Constant.

WIRE APPLICATION GUIDE
* Use in vehicles without factory-equipped
Premium or Bose system.
** Use in vehicles with factory Premium or
Bose system.
*** Use in vehicles with either system.
NOTE: The long red wire included applies to certain vehicles that require a switched power source at the fuse panel. See page 2 for specific applications.

Match wires below to the matching function of each wire on your receiver (refer to instructions supplied with receiver).
The wire colors of your new receiver may, or may not, match the wire colors of the adaptor. Match adaptor and receiver wires by function,
disregarding color.
If your receiver does not have a Dimmer or Illumination wire, tape off the Orange wire.
Connect the Black wire to the Ground wire of the new receiver.
Individually tape off any unused wires.
Make final wiring connections following instructions on page 3.

NOTE: These instructions pertain to the use of the additional long red wire in vehicles requiring
a 12 Volt switched power source at the vehicle's fuse panel.
All other wires are connected as instructed on page 1 unless otherwise specified.

Fuse Clip
Using the Long Red Wire (if applicable):
Run the long wire from the receiver to the fuse panel. Make sure wire is safely
secured away from moving parts. Locate the correct fuse referring to the wire
application guide on this page. Remove the fuse. Use a test meter to
determine the "power" side of the fuse slot. Connect the fuse clip to one
prong of the fuse. Reinstall the fuse so that the clip/prong is on the opposite
side that connects to power. It is important that the clip is on the cor-NOTE:
rect side in order for the line to be protected by the fuse.

STEP 2 -- CONTINUED
A. Strip wires back 1/2”.
B. Twist wires together and
insert in crimp cap.
C. Squeeze middle of cap
for tight connection.
STEP 3 -- APPLICATION
When ready to install the receiver, plug
the Wiring Adaptor from the new receiver
or receiver assembly into the factory
radio harness(es) in the vehicle dash.
D. Complete crimp connections
for all necessary wires.
E. Be sure to wrap any wires from
the Wiring Adaptor that are
not necessary (wires with no
match from the new receiver)
with electrical tape.
