Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees

that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being

dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies

with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product

purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms

and conditions below.

FIRST YEAR – 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY

Should defects due to faulty parts or workmanship develop, under normal

domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please

return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund

or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are

intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.

The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a

commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-

ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.

SECOND YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED

ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION

Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an

extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.

Should defects due to faulty material or workmanship develop, under normal

domestic use, after the initial 12 month period and within 24 months from

the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for

repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should

it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.

Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the same or

better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.

Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a

repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

THIRD YEAR – OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED

COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY

Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-

tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year

online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or

workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month

period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36

months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to

Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of

charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to

you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the

same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever

reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will

produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

consultants will gladly assist with the online warranty registration and

opt-in email communication. Should you wish to qualify for the additional

third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your

warranty within the rst 12 months from date of purchase and subscribed

to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional

upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt

out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result

in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty

from the recorded opt-out date.

Before returning your product, check the following:

•Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and

switched on.

• The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your

DB board is off).

•You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.

•All accessories and parts are present.

The following conditions apply:

1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be

presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.

It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of

purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt

can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]

or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]

for safe storage.)

2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete

with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the

warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-

tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.

3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to

ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for

exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged

after use, so please do not use a damaged product.

4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.

5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure

to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and

maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these

instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-

tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;

insect infestation, and/or burnt products).

6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render

the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be

liable for any loss or damage.

7. Any attempted repair, or replacement of unauthorised parts will ren-

der the warranty void, so please contact an authorised service centre

or service agent for any service or repair requirements.

8. NB: The warranty on replaced products will be from the original date

of purchase and not from when the date replacement was made.

9. All repairs carry a 3 month warranty even if this falls outside of the

warranty period.

10. Mellerware will attempt to conduct repairs within reasonable time,

this in line with industry standards but cannot be held responsible or

liable for any circumstances not under the brand’s control.

11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-

ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.

Repairs out of the warranty period:

If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this

service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour

costs will be for the customers’ account. All chargeable repairs will require

the customers’ written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has

been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a

reasonable time and maintain the condition of the product as received. All

repairs carry a warranty of 3 months from the date of the repair.

4. Diens:

te vermy.

4.3. Enige misbruik of versuim om die gebruiks

instruksies te volg maak die waarborg en vervaardi-

ger se aanspreeklikheid nietig.

5. Voor eerste gebruik:

5.1. Lees alle instruksies sorgvuldig deur en bewaar

dit vir toekomstige verwysing.

5.2. Verwyder alle verpakking.

5.3. Maak die kookplate skoon deur dit af te vee

met ‘n spons of lap wat in warm water bevochtig is.

Moenie die eenheid onderdompel of water direk op

die kookoppervlakke laat loop nie.

5.4. Droog die plate af met ‘n lap of papierhand-

doek.

5.5. Vir die beste resultate, bedek die kookplate

liggies met ‘n bietjie kookolie of kooksproei.

Let wel: Dit is normaal dat die Toebroodjiemaker ‘n

effense rook of reuk afgee wanneer dit die eerste

keer verhit word. Dit is ‘n normale verskynsel vir

baie verwarmingstoestelle en beïnvloed nie die

veiligheid van die eenheid nie.

6. Hoe om te gebruik:

6.1. Maak die Toebroodjiemaker toe en steek dit

in ‘n muursok. Die krag- en gereed-liggies sal

aanskakel, wat aandui dat die toestel voorverhit.

6.2. Dit sal ongeveer 2-4 minute neem om die

korrekte baktemperatuur te bereik, waarna die

gereed-liggie sal afskakel.

6.3. Maak die deksel oop en plaas jou kos op die

onderste kookplaat.

6.4. Maak die deksel toe. Die gereed-liggie sal weer

aanskakel.

6.5. Kook vir ongeveer 2 tot 4 minute, of totdat die

kos goudbruin is, en pas die tyd aan volgens jou

persoonlike voorkeur. Die gereed-liggie sal weer

afskakel wanneer die kos gaar is.

6.6. Wanneer die kos gaar is, gebruik die handvat-

sel om die deksel oop te maak.

6.7. Verwyder die kos met ‘n plastiekspatel.

Moet nooit ‘n metaaltang of ‘n mes gebruik nie,

aangesien dit die kleefvrye laag van die kookplate

kan beskadig.

6.8. Nadat jy klaar gekook het, trek die eenheid uit

die muursok en laat die deksel oop om af te koel.

7. Skoonmaak:

7.1. Ontkoppel altyd die toebroodjiemaker en laat

dit afkoel voordat jy dit skoonmaak. Die eenheid

is makliker om skoon te maak wanneer dit effens

warm is.

7.2. Dit is nie nodig om die toebroodjiemaker uitme-

kaar te haal vir skoonmaak nie.

7.3. Moet nooit die toebroodjiemaker in water

dompel of in ‘n skottelgoedwasser plaas nie.

7.4. Vee die kookplate met ‘n sagte lap af om

voedselreste te verwyder.

7.5. Vir aangebakte voedselreste, druk ‘n bietjie

warm water gemeng met skoonmaakmiddel oor

die oorskot en maak dit dan skoon met ‘n nie-

skurende plastiekskuurspons. Alternatiewelik kan

jy nat kombuispapier oor die rooster plaas om die

voedselreste te bevochtig.

7.6. Moenie enige skuurmiddel gebruik wat die

kleefvrye laag kan krap of beskadig nie.

7.7. Moenie metaalgereedskap gebruik om voedsel

te verwyder nie, aangesien dit die kleefvrye op-

pervlak kan beskadig.

7.8. Vee die buitekant van die toebroodjiemasjien

slegs met ‘n klam lap af. Moenie ‘n skuurspons of

staalwol aan die buitekant gebruik nie, aangesien dit

die afwerking sal beskadig.

7.9. Moenie die toestel in water of enige ander

vloeistof dompel nie.

8. Herwinning:

8.1. Hierdie elektriese produkte, kabels, batterye,

verpakking en die handleiding moet nie met

algemene huishoudelike afval gemeng word nie.

3. Use and Care:

3.1. Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before

each use.

3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or acces-

sories are not properly fitted.

3.3. Do not use the appliance when empty

or connected to the mains power supply.

3.5. Do not cover the surface or food with alu-

minium foil and other similar materials.

3.6. Unplug the appliance from the mains power

supply when not in use and before undertaking any

3.8. Never leave the appliance unattended were to

catch fire, disconnect from the mains power supply

4. Service:

4.1. Make sure that only suitably qualified techni-

cian, and that only original spare parts service the

appliance or accessories are used to replace existing

parts/accessories.

4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer

or its service agent or a similarly qualified person

must replace it in order to avoid a hazard.

4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions

for use renders the warranty and manufacturer’s

liability null and void.

5. Before first use:

5.1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for

future reference.

5.2. Remove all packaging.

5.3. Clean the cooking plates by wiping them with

a sponge or cloth dampened in warm water. Do

not immerse the unit or run water directly onto the

cooking surfaces.

5.4. Dry the plates with a cloth or paper towel.

5.5. For best results, lightly coat the cooking plates

with a little cooking oil or cooking spray.

Note: It is normal for the Sandwich Maker to emit a

slight smoke or odour when it is first heated. This is

a normal occurrence for many heating appliances

and does not affect the safety of the unit.

6. How to use:

6.1. Close the Sandwich Maker and plug it into a

wall outlet. The power and ready lights will turn on,

indicating that the appliance is preheating.

6.2. It will take approximately 2-4 minutes to reach

the correct baking temperature, at which point the

ready light will turn off.

6.3. Open the lid and place your food on the bottom

cooking plate.

6.4. Close the lid. The ready light will turn on again.

6.5. Cook for about 2 to 4 minutes, or until the food

is golden brown, adjusting the time to suit your

personal preference. The ready light will turn off

again when the food is cooked.

6.6. When the food is cooked, use the handle to

open the lid.

6.7. Remove the food using a plastic spatula. Never

use metal tongs or a knife, as they can damage the

non-stick coating of the cooking plates.

6.8. After you are finished cooking, unplug the unit

from the wall outlet and leave the lid open to cool.

7. Cleaning:

7.1. Always unplug the Sandwich Maker and allow

it to cool before cleaning. The unit is easier to clean

when it is slightly warm.

7.2. There is no need to disassemble the Sandwich

Maker for cleaning.

7.3. Never immerse the Sandwich Maker in water or

place it in a dishwasher.

7.4. Wipe the cooking plates with a soft cloth to

remove food residue.

7.5. For baked-on food residue, squeeze some

warm water mixed with detergent over the residue

and then clean it with a non-abrasive plastic scour-

ing pad. Alternatively, you can place wet kitchen

paper over the grill to moisten the food residue.

7.6. Do not use anything abrasive that could

scratch or damage the non-stick coating.

7.7. Do not use metal utensils to remove food, as

they can damage the non-stick surface.

7.8. Wipe the outside of the Sandwich Maker with

a damp cloth only. Do not use an abrasive scouring

pad or steel wool on the outside, as this will dam-

age the finish.

7.9. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any

other liquid.

8. Recycling:

8.1. These electrical products, cables, batteries,

packaging, and the manual, should not be mixed

with general household waste. For proper recycling,

please take these products to your nearest Creative

Housewares office where they will be accepted for

recycling free of charge.

8.2. Alternatively, please contact your local author-

ity or household waste disposal service for further

details of your nearest designated collection point.

Correct product disposal saves resources and

prevents negative effects on human health and the

environment.

1.22. Die toestel mag slegs in die geslote posisie

gebruik word.

2. Persoonlike veiligheid:

2.1. As die krag koord beskadig is, moet dit deur

die vervaardiger, sy diensagent of soortgelyke

gekwalifiseerde persone vervang word om ‘n gevaar

te vermy.

2.2. Persone (insluitend kinders) met verminderde

fisiese, sensoriese of geestelike vermoëns of ‘n ge-

brek aan ervaring en kennis beoog nie hierdie toestel

vir gebruik nie, tensy ‘n persoon verantwoordelik vir

hul veiligheid hulle toesig gegee het of instruksies

oor die gebruik van die toestel gegee het.

2.3. Kinders moet onder toesig wees om te verseker

dat hulle nie met die toestel speel nie.

2.4. Die toestel is nie bedoel om deur middel van ‘n

eksterne tydhouer of aparte afstand beheerstelsel

gebruik te word nie.

2.5. Die temperatuur van toeganklike oppervlaktes

kan hoog wees wanneer die toestel in werking is.

2.6. Waarskuwing: Moenie die toestel sonder toesig

laat tydens gebruik nie, aangesien daar ‘n risiko van

‘n ongeluk is.

2.7. Moenie aan die verhitte dele van die toestel

raak nie, aangesien dit ernstige brandwonde kan

veroorsaak.

2.8. Hierdie toestel is slegs vir huishoudelike

gebruik, nie vir industriële of professionele gebruik

nie. Dit is nie bedoel om deur gaste in gasvryheids

omgewings soos bed-en-ontbyt, hotelle, motelle en

ander tipe woon omgewings gebruik te word nie,

selfs in plaashuise, areas van die kombuis personeel

in winkels, kantore en ander werksomgewings.

3. Gebruik en sorg:

3.1. Rol die toestel se kragkabel volledig uit voor

elke gebruik.

3.2. Moenie die toestel gebruik as die onderdele of

bykomstighede nie behoorlik pas nie.

3.3. Moenie die toestel gebruik wanneer dit leeg

is nie

3.4. Moenie die toestel omdraai terwyl dit in gebruik

is of aan die hoofkragtoevoer gekoppel is nie.

3.5. Moenie die oppervlak of kos met aluminium

foelie en ander soortgelyke materiale bedek nie.

3.6. Ontkoppel die toestel van die hoof kragtoevoer

wanneer dit nie gebruik word nie en voordat enige

skoonmaak taak onderneem word.

3.7. Hierdie toestel moet buite bereik van kinders

gestoor word.

3.8. Moet nooit die toestel sonder toesig laat om aan

die brand te slaan nie, ontkoppel van die hoofkragto-
