Thank you for purchasing a Mellerware product. Mellerware guarantees
that your product has been thoroughly inspected and tested before being
dispatched and is free from mechanical or electrical defects and complies
with the applicable safety standards. With every Mellerware product
purchased you will receive up to a 3 year warranty as detailed in the terms
and conditions below.
FIRST YEAR 1 YEAR RETAIL WARRANTY
domestic use, within 12 months from the original date of purchase please
return the product to the store from where it was purchased for a refund
or replacement at the discretion of the brand. Mellerware appliances are
intended for domestic use only and not for industrial or professional use.
The Warranty, if the product is used outside of domestic use or used in a
commercial environment, is reduced to 3 months with no extended war-
ranty available, all other terms and conditions applicable.
SECOND YEAR OPTIONAL 1 YEAR ADDITIONAL EXTENDED
ONLINE WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an
extended 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail Warranty.

the original date of purchase, please return the product to Mellerware for
repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of charge should
it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to you directly.

better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever reason.
Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will produce a
repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

COMMUNICATION OPT IN WARRANTY
Mellerware takes pride in its product quality and therefore offer an addi-
tional 12 month warranty over and above the 1 Year Retail and 1 year
online registration warranty. Should defects due to faulty material or
workmanship develop, under normal domestic use, after the initial 12 month
period, the extended online registration 12 month period and within 36
months from the original date of purchase, please return the product to
Mellerware for repair. Mellerware will assess and repair the product free of
charge should it be found to be a valid warranty claim and will return it to
you directly. Mellerware will replace a product with a similar product in the
same or better condition, if the repair cannot be conducted for whatever
reason. Should the product fall outside of the warranty, Mellerware will
produce a repair and delivery quotation for your approval.

third year extended warranty, you would need to have registered your

to receive brand communication. The extended warranty is conditional
upon these requirements. Please note that you are however free to opt
out at any stage in accordance with the POPI act, this will however result
in you forfeiting this additional extended “communication opt in” warranty
from the recorded opt-out date.
Before returning your product, check the following:
Your household mains supply socket is in good condition, working and
switched on.
The mains supply circuit is not overloaded (white trip switch on your
DB board is off).
You have read the trouble shooting guide in your Instructions for Use.
All accessories and parts are present.
The following conditions apply:
1. Please ensure you retain your original receipt as this must be
presented when making a claim under the terms of the warranty.
It is impossible to determine the warranty period without proof of
purchase, so please keep this in a safe place. (NB. Your original receipt
can be scanned onto the Mellerware website [www.mellerware.co.za]
or Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd [www.creativehousewares.co.za]
for safe storage.)
2. If a refund or exchange is required the product must be complete
with all accessories, parts and packaging. Missing parts will render the
warranty void. Any refund or exchange remains at the brands discre-
tion beyond the implied warranty granted by the CPA.
3. Upon receipt of your appliance, check it for any transport damage to
ensure it is safe for use. Return it to the store as soon as possible for
exchange if damaged. The warranty is void if products are damaged
after use, so please do not use a damaged product.
4. Any alteration made to the appliance purchased will void the warranty.
5. Your product is designed for normal domestic household use. Failure
to read and comply with the instructions for use, cleaning and
maintenance will render your warranty void, so please read these
instructions carefully to ensure your safety, and to get the most effec-
tive use from the product (e.g. not removing limescale; water deposits;
insect infestation, and/or burnt products).
6. Any abuse, negligent, improper or accidental use or care will render
the warranty void and Creative Housewares (Pty) Ltd will not be
liable for any loss or damage.

11. This warranty does not apply to glass components, lters, consum-
ables, and other parts subject to fair wear and tear.
Repairs out of the warranty period:
If service or repair becomes necessary outside the warranty period, this
service is still available however all transport/postage, spares and labour
costs will be for the customers account. All chargeable repairs will require
the customers written acceptance of the quote. Once the go-ahead has
been received Mellerware will undertake to conduct the repair within a

wares office where they will be accepted for recycling

Read these instructions carefully before switching on
the appliance and keep them for future reference. Fail-
ure to follow and observe these instructions could lead
to an accident. Clean all the parts of the product that
will be in contact with food, as indicated in the cleaning
section, before use.
2.1. Gebruik- of werkomgewing:

3. Instruksies vir gebruik

sal kom op die wyse wat beskryf word in die skoon-

3.2. Gebruik en sorg:
3.2.1. Maak die deksel oop en haal die mandjie uit om
dit skoon te maak voordat dit gebruik word.
3.2.2. Skoonmaak van die frituurkom.
3.2.3. Gebruik hoë-kwaliteit kookolie of soliede vet,
vermy margarien, olyfolie, of botter.
3.2.4. Verseker dat die olnive tussen die MIN en MAX
merke in die frituurkom is.
3.2.5. Stel die mandjie saam deur die handvatsel vas te
druk en die twee penne in die gleuf aan die mandjie in te
steek. Die handvatsel behoort vas te klik.
3.2.6. Voeg bestanddele by die mandjie.
3.2.7. Vir veiligheidsredes, plaas die mandjie in die
frituur met olie.
3.2.8. Steek die Frituur in die hoofkragvoorsiening-
sokkel en stel die temperatuurknop na die korrekte
temperatuur.
3.2.9. NB: Gebruik slegs metaalware met geïsoleerde
handvatsels in warm olie.
3.2.10. Olie behou hitte vir ‘n lang tyd, so wees
versigtig wanneer jy die voedsel hanteer.
3.2.11. Na kook, lig die mandjie uit die olie en skud die
mandjie oor die olie indien nodig. Die mandjie het ‘n
hanger wat jou toelaat om dit aan die frituur op te hang
om die mandjie af te koel. NB: As jy die handvatsel
aan die mandjie gelos het terwyl jy gekook het, sal die
handvatsel warm wees. Gebruik asseblief ‘n oondwant
voordat jy die handvatsel aanraak om brandwonde aan
jou hand te voorkom.
3.2.12. Draai die temperatuurknop na “0” en laat
die olie heeltemal afkoel voordat jy dit dreineer en
skoonmaak.
4.1. Skoonmaak en Sorg:
4.1.1. Laat die frituur heeltemal afkoel tot ‘n veilige
temperatuur.
4.1.2. Trek die frituur se stekker uit die kragbron om
veiligheid te verseker.
4.1.3. Verwyder die mandjie en enige ander verwyder-
bare dele uit die frituur.
4.1.4. Verwyder die gebruikte olie behoorlik volgens
plaaslike regulasies.
4.1.5. Vee die binnekant van die frituur af met
papierhanddoeke om oortollige olie en voedseldeeltjies
te verwyder.
4.1.6. Vul die frituur met warm water en ‘n sagte skoon-
maakmiddel of skottelgoedseep.
4.1.7. Laat die seepwater ‘n rukkie week om enige
vasgeplakte oorskot los te maak.
4.1.8. Gebruik ‘n sagte spons of borsel om die bin-
nekant van die frituur, insluitend die mandjie, skoon
te skrop.
4.1.9. Spoel die frituur deeglik met skoon water om alle
seepresidu te verwyder.
4.1.10. Laat die frituur en sy dele heeltemal aan die lug
droog voordat dit weer saamgesit en gestoor word.
4.1.11. Na ‘n paar keer gebruik van die frituur, verwyder
die filter binne die deksel en was dit met seepwater om
reuke en residu te verwyder. Laat die filter heeltemal
droog voordat dit weer ingevoeg word.
5. Herwinning:
5.1. Hierdie elektriese produkte, kabelle, batterye,
verpakking, en die handleiding, moet nie met algemene
huishoudelike afval gemeng word nie. Vir behoorlike
herwinning, neem asseblief hierdie produkte na jou
naaste Creative Housewares-kantoor waar hulle gratis
vir herwinning aanvaar sal word.
5.2. Alternatiewelik, kontak asseblief jou plaaslike gesag
of huishoudelike afvalverwyderingsdiens vir verdere

programmer, timer, or another device that automatically
switches it on.

label matches the mains power supply voltage before
plugging in the appliance.
2.1.11. Connect the appliance to the mains power
supply with an earth socket withstanding a minimum of
10 amperes.
2.1.12. The appliance’s plug must fit into the mains
power supply socket properly. Do not alter the plug.
2.1.13. If using a multi plug check ratings carefully as
the current used by several appliances could easily
exceed the rating of the multi plug.
2.1.14. If any of the appliance casings breaks, imme-
diately disconnect the appliance from the mains power
supply to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.

2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before
each use.
2.3.2. Do not use the appliance if the parts or acces-
sories are not properly fitted.
2.3.3. Do not use the appliance when empty.
2.3.4. Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or
connected to the mains power supply.
2.3.5. Do not cover the cooking surface or food with
aluminium foil and other similar materials.
2.3.6. Unplug the appliance from the mains power
supply when not in use and before undertaking any
cleaning task.
2.3.7. This appliance should be stored out of reach
of children.
2.3.8. Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
2.3.9. Never leave the appliance unattended when in
use and keep out of the reach of children.
2.3.10. If, for some reason, the appliance was to catch
fire, disconnect the appliance from the mains power
supply and DO NOT USE WATER TO PUT THE FIRE OUT.
2.3.11. Do not vacuum burning material and ashes (if
applicable).
2.3.12. Do not use the machine without the motor
protection filter fitted (if applicable).
2.3.13. Please empty the dust cylinder immediately
when it is full (if applicable).
2.3.14. Do not allow objects to restrict or block airflow
(if applicable).
2.3.15. Do not allow any body parts e.g.: hair, fingers,
hand etc., to block the airflow of the cleaner as this puts
unnecessary strain on the motor and can cause the
motor to burn out (if applicable).
2.3.16. Please keep suction inlet away from ear area
due to excessive noise levels when in operation (if
applicable).
2.4. Service:
2.4.1. Make sure that the appliance is serviced only
by suitably qualified technician, and that only original
spare parts or accessories are used to replace existing
parts/accessories.
2.4.2. If the power cord is damaged, the manufacturer
or its service agent or a similarly qualified person must
replace it to avoid a hazard.
2.4.3. Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions
for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s
liability null and void.
3. Instructions for use
3.1. Before use:
3.1.1. Remove the appliance’s protective film (if ap-
plicable).
3.1.2. Before using the product for the first time, clean
the parts that will come into contact with food in the
manner described in the cleaning section.
3.2. Use and care:
3.2.1. Open the lid and take out the basket to clean it
before using.
3.2.2. Clean the fryer bowl.
3.2.3. Use high-quality cooking oil or solid fat, avoiding
margarine, olive oil, or butter.
3.2.4. Ensure the oil level is between the MIN and MAX
marks in the fryer bowl.
3.2.5. Assemble the basket by pinching the handle and
inserting the two prongs in the slot on the basket. The
handle should click into place.
3.2.6. Add ingredients to the basket.
3.2.7. For safety reasons, place the basket in the fryer
with oil.

3.2.9. NB: Only use metal utensils with insulated handles
in hot oil.
3.2.10. Oil retains heat for a long time so be cautious
when handling the food.
3.2.11. After cooking, lift the basket from the oil and
shake the basket over the oil if necessary. The basket
has a hanger which allows you to hang it on the fryer
to allow the basket to cool. NB: If you left the handle
attached to the basket while cooking, the handle will be
hot. Please use an oven mitt before touching the handle
to prevent burning your hand.
3.2.12. Turn the temperature dial to “0” and let the oil
cool completely before draining and cleaning.
4.1. Cleaning and Care:
4.1.1. Allow the fryer to cool down completely to a safe
temperature.
4.1.2. Unplug the fryer from the power source to ensure
safety.
4.1.3. Remove the basket and any other removable parts
from the fryer.
4.1.4. Dispose of the used oil properly according to local
regulations.
4.1.5. Wipe the interior of the fryer with paper towels to
remove excess oil and food particles.
4.1.6. Fill the fryer with warm water and a mild detergent
or dish soap.
4.1.7. Let the soapy water soak for a while to loosen any
stuck-on residue.

2.2.3. Hierdie toestel is slegs vir huishoudelike gebruik,
nie vir nywerheids- of professionele gebruik nie. Dit is
nie bedoel vir gebruik deur gaste in gasvryheidsomgew-
ings soos gastehuise, hotelle, motels, en ander tipes
residensiële omgewings nie, selfs nie op plase, areas
van die kombuispersoneel in winkels, kantore, en ander
werksomgewings nie.
2.2.4. Hierdie toestel is nie bedoel vir gebruik deur
persone (insluitend kinders) met beperkte fisiese,
sensoriese of geestelike vermoëns, of ‘n gebrek aan
ervaring en kennis nie, tensy hulle toesig of onderrig
oor die gebruik van die toestel deur ‘n persoon wat

2.3. Gebruik en sorg:

2.3.6. Ontkoppel die toestel van die hoofkragvoorsiening
wanneer dit nie in gebruik is nie en voor enige skoon-
maakwerk gedoen word.
2.3.7. Hierdie toestel moet buite die bereik van kinders
gestoor word.
2.3.8. Moet die toestel nie stoor as dit nog warm is nie.
2.3.9. Laat nooit die toestel ongesuperviseerd wanneer
dit in gebruik is en hou dit uit die bereik van kinders.
2.3.10. As die toestel, om een of ander rede, aan die
brand sou raak, ontkoppel die toestel van die hoofkrag-
voorsiening en GEBRUIK GEEN WATER OM DIE BRAND
TE BLUS.
2.3.11. Moet nie brandende materiaal en asse opsuig
(indien van toepassing).
2.3.12. Moet die toestel nie gebruik sonder dat die
motorbeskermingsfilter aangebring is nie (indien van
toepassing).
2.3.13. Maak asseblief die stofsilinder dadelik leeg wan-
neer dit vol is (indien van toepassing).
2.3.14. Moet nie toelaat dat voorwerpe die lugvloei
beperk of blokkeer nie (indien van toepassing).
2.3.15. Moet nie enige liggaamsdele soos hare, vingers,
hand ens., toelaat om die lugvloei van die skoonmaker
te blokkeer nie, aangesien dit onnodige spanning op
die motor plaas en die motor kan uitbrand (indien van
toepassing).
2.3.16. Hou asseblief die suiginlaat weg van die oorarea
as gevolg van buitensporige geluidsvlakke wanneer dit in
werking is (indien van toepassing).
2.4. Diens:
2.4.1. Maak seker dat die toestel slegs deur ‘n geskikte
gekwalifiseerde tegnikus gediens word, en dat slegs
