Vor der ersten Benutzung

xUnbedingt Gebrauchsanweisung und Sicher-

heitshinweise vollständig lesen.

xÜberprüfen Sie, ob Netzspannung mit der

Spannungsangabe auf der Geräteunterseite

übereinstimmt.

xReinigen Sie das Gerät durch zwei komplette

Brühvorgänge mit klarem, kaltem Wasser

(ohne Kaffeemehl).

Die Kaffeezubereitung

Das Aromagic System in Ihrem LOOK Aromagic

sorgt durch seine besondere Technik für

höchsten Kaffee-Genuss. Das Prinzip: Heisses

Wasser wird zunächst oberhalb des Filters in

einem Speicher gesammelt. Ist der Speicher voll,

wird das Kaffeemehl – wie beim Filtern mit der

Hand – mit kräftigem Wasserschwall durchflutet

und verwirbelt. Das erschließt den vollen,

aromatischen Kaffeegeschmack. In mehreren

Intervallen (je nach Tassenanzahl) sammelt sich

neues Wasser und schwallt dann ebenso in den

Filter. Das Ergebnis: Kaffee wie von Hand gefiltert!

1. Gerät ans Stromnetz anschließen.

2. Gewünschte Menge frisches, kaltes Wasser

aus der Glaskanne in den geöffneten Wasser-

tank füllen. (Abb. 1)

Tassenzahl ist an den Skalierungen auf

der Glaskanne und am Wassertank ablesbar.

3. Schwenkfilter nach rechts ausschwenken.

4. Filtertüte

®1 x 4 am seitlichen und unteren

Tütenrand umknicken und in den Schwenkfilter

einlegen. (Abb. 3)

5. Filterfein gemahlenen Kaffee in die Filtertüte

geben. Empfehlung: pro Tasse einen ge-

strichen vollen Meßlöffel = ca. 6g.

6. Filter bis zur Einrastung zurückschwenken.

7. Glaskanne mit Deckel auf die Warmhalteplatte

unter den Filter stellen. Die Glaskanne muß

immer frontal in das Gerät eingesetzt werden;

der Ausgießer muß in die dafür vorgesehene

Aussparung im Gehäuse ragen. Nur so ist

gewährleistet, daß der Tropfstop ausgelöst

wird.

8. Gerät einschalten – der Ein-/Ausschalter

leuchtet auf – der Kaffee wird auto-(Abb. 4)

matisch zubereitet.

9. Der Tropf-Stopp verhindert Nachtropfen, wenn

die Kanne nach Beendigung des Brühvor-

ganges entnommen wird. (Abb. 5).

10.Nur solange das Gerät eingeschaltet ist, hält

die Warmhalteplatte den Kaffee heiß.

Zusätzliche Hinweise:

ÖBrühvorgang nur mit aufgesetztem Glas-

kannendeckel starten – nur so ist der Filterver-

schluß geöffnet.

ÖZwischen zwei Brühvorgängen das Gerät aus-

schalten und ca. 5 Min. abkühlen lassen.

Reinigung und Pflege

Vor dem Reinigen immer den Netzstecker ziehen.

Abnehmbare Teile:

Schwenkfilter, Filtereinsatz , Glaskanne(Abb. 6)

und Deckel können mit heißem Wasser und

Spülmittel oder in der Geschirrspülmaschine

gereinigt werden.

Basis-Gerät:

Verwenden Sie ein weiches feuchtes Tuch und

etwas Spülmittel für die äußere Reinigung.

Gerät und Gerätezuleitung niemals unter fließen-

dem Wasser reinigen oder in Wasser eintauchen.

Keine scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungs-

mittel verwenden.

Entkalken

Kalkablagerungen im Gerät sind unvermeidlich.

Regelmäßiges Entkalken (nach 40 Filtervorgän-

gen) sichert die einwandfreie Funktion. Verwen-

den Sie zum Entkalken Swirl Bio-Kalklöser oder

Swirl Schnellentkalker.

Wichtig:

Nach dem Entkalken unbedingt 2 bis 3 Brühvor-

gänge mit klarem, kaltem Wasser (ohne Kaffee-

mehl) durchführen.

Ersatzglaskannen (TYP 93) sind im Handel

erhältlich.

Sicherheitshinweise:

xBeim Betrieb werden Teile des Gerätes (z. B.

die Warmhalteplatte) heiß: Vermeiden

Sie eine Berührung.

xBenutzen Sie das Gerät nur außerhalb der

Reichweite von Kindern.

xSorgen Sie dafür, daß die Zuleitung nicht die

heiße Warmhalteplatte berührt.

xVor jeder Reinigung und bei längerer Ab-

wesenheit den Netzstecker ziehen.

xDas Gerät niemals in Wasser tauchen.

xGlaskanne und Deckel sind nicht mikro-

wellengeeignet.

xKein heißes Wasser einfüllen, sondern nur

frisches, kaltes Wasser.

xWährend des Brühvorganges nie den Filter

ausschwenken.

xDas Auswechseln des Netzkabels und alle

sonstigen Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Melitta

Kundendienst oder einer ähnlich qualifizierten

Person durchgeführt werden.

Before preparing your first cup

of coffee . . .

xread all operating and safety instructions

carefully.

xmake sure that the voltage in your home

corresponds with the voltage indicated on

the bottom of the appliance.

xclean the appliance by filling the water tank

with clear cold water and allow the water to

run through (without coffee).

Coffee Preparation

The Aromagic system in your coffemaker LOOK

Aromagic provides the best coffee taste by

applying a special technique. The method: the hot

water collects in the water tank above the filter

first. When the tank is full, the water covers the

ground coffee in the filter and its strong stream

swirls it around – just like filtering by hand, thus

releasing the most aromatic coffee flavour. Then

the new water collects again and flows

intermittently (acccrding to the number of cups) in

the same way into the filter. The result: coffee, as if

filtered by hand.

1. Insert plug of the appliance into socket.

2. Raise lid of water tank and pour the required

amount of fresh cold water out of the glass

jug into the water tank. .(Fig. 1)

The number of cups of coffee is determined by

referring to the scale on the glass jug and the

water level indicator. .(Fig. 2)

3. Swing out filter to the right.

4. Fold over the seamed edges of the filter bag

(size 1x4) and place it in the swing out filter.

5. Scoop the filter-fine ground coffee into the filter

bag. Recommendation: use one level coffee

measure (approx. 6 g) per cup or vary accord-

ing to taste.

6. Swing filter back into position and lock in place.

7. Place glass jug with lid on the hot plate under

the filter. The glass jug must always frontally be

positioned into the coffeemaker; the spout of

the jug must fit into the cavity of the body as

being provided. Only by doing so, it will be

ensured that the drip stop will work perfectly.

8. Switch the appliance on – the on/off switch

lights up (Fig. 4) – showing that the machine

is operating.

9. The “drip stop” prevents dripping, when the jug

is taken away after filtration. (Fig. 5).

10.As long as the machine is switched on, the hot

plate keeps the coffee hot. For best result, it is

advisable not to keep filtered coffee warm for

more than one hour.

Additional Instructions:

ÖBefore starting the brewing cycle, the lid must

be on the glass jug to ensure that the filter out-

let is open.

ÖSwitch the machine off between two brewing

cycles and leave it to cool down for approx.

5 minutes.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Always pull the plug out of the socket before

cleaning.

Detachable Parts:

Swing-out filter, insertable plastic filter ,(Fig. 6)

glass jug and lid may be cleaned with hot water

and washing-up liquid or may be washed in the

dishwasher.

Basic Appliance:

Use a soft damp cloth and some washing-up

liquid for cleaning the exterior.

Appliance and cord should never be cleaned

under running water or immersed in water.

Do not use scouring pads or harsh abrasives.

Descaling

In hard water areas scale will eventually build up

in your machine which unfortunately cannot be

avoided.

You should descale your machine regularly (after

every 40 filtrations) to ensure perfect operation.

Use Swirl Bio-Descaler or Swirl Quick-Descaler

for efficient descaling.

Important:

After descaling repeat brewing process with clear

cold water (without coffee) at least 2 to 3 times.

Replacement Glass Jugs

Glass jugs are available from your retailer.

Safety instructions:

xWhen the appliance is switched on, some

parts (e.g. hot plate) of the appliance become

hot. Do not touch – risk of burning!

xAlways keep this appliance out of the reach

of children.

xNever allow the cord to come into contact

with the hot plate.

xAlways pull the plug out of the socket before

cleaning or in case of absence for a long time.

xNever immerse the appliance in water.

xGlass jug and lid are not microwave-proof.

xDo not use hot water. Only fresh cold water

should be used to fill the water tank.

xIt is not advisable to remove the jug from the

hot plate until all the water has run through,

otherwise the “drip stop“ might cause the filter

to overflow.

xThe replacement of the cord and all other

repairs must be carried out by authorized

Melitta Customer Service Centres only or by

a person of similar qualification.

Al primo utilizzo

xLeggere attentamente a fondo istruzioni d’uso

ed avvertenze.

xVerificare che la tensione di rete sia conforme

alla tensione indicata sul lato inferiore

dell’apparecchio.

xPulire l’apparecchio sottoponendolo a due

bolliture complete utilizzando acqua limpida,

fredda (senza caffè).

Preparazione del caffè

L’aroma active System nel suo Look Aromagic e

con la sua tecnica particolare, provvede di

ottenere il massimo piacere di gustare il caffè. Il

principio: I’acqua calda viene raccolta in un

serbatoio sopra il filtro, appena il serbatoio è

pieno, la polvere del caffè viene (come

manualmente) fortemente inondata e mulinata con

l’acqua, ottenendo così il pieno aroma ed il gusto

del caffè. In diversi intervalli (secondo la quantità

delle tazze) vìene raccolta nuova acqua che

inonda nel filtro. Risultato: caffè come filtrato a

mano.

1. Collegare l’apparecchio alla corrente elettrica.

2. Riempire il serbatoio dell’acqua aperto con la

quantità di acqua fresca desiderata utilizzando

il bricco di vetro. (Fig. 1)

Il numero di tazze è indicato dalla graduazione

sul bricco di vetro e sul serbatoio dell’acqua.

3. Ruotare verso destra il filtro girevole.

4. Piegare il bordo laterale ed inferiore del

sacchetto filtro 1x4 ed inserirlo nel filtro

girevole. (Fig. 3)

5. Mettere del caffè macinato fine nel sacchetto

filtro. Si consiglia: un misurino raso per tazza

= ca. 6 g.

6. Riportare indietro il filtro girevole fino allo

scatto in posizione.

7. Porre il bricco di vetro con il coperchio sulla

piastra termica sotto il filtro. Il bricco di vetro

andrà inserito nell’apparecchio sempre

frontalmente; il beccuccio dovrà inserirsi

nell’apposito incavo nel corpo dell’apparecchio:

solo in tal modo sarà garantito il funzionamento

del dispositivo salvagocce.

8. Accendere l’apparecchio – l’interruttore di

accensione/spegnimento si illumina (Fig. 4) –

il caffè scende automaticamente.

9. Il dispositivo salvagocce evita lo sgoccio-

lamento dopo che il bricco è stato tolto al

termine della bollitura.

10.La piastra termica mantiene il caffè bollente

solo fintanto che l’apparecchio resta acceso.

Consigli utili:

ÖIniziare la bollitura solo dopo aver applicato il

coperchio al bricco di vetro – solo in questo

modo il filtro resta aperto.

ÖSpegnere l’apparecchio prima della bollitura

successiva e lasciare raffreddare per ca. 5

minuti.

Pulitura e manutenzione

Parti estraibili:

Filtro girevole, guarnizione filtro (Fig. 6), bricco di

vetro e coperchio possono essere puliti con

acqua calda e detergente oppure in lavastoviglie.

Struttura dell’apparecchio:

Utilizzare per la pulitura esterna un panno

morbido e umido ed un detergente. Non lavare

mai l’apparecchio e il cavo d’alimentazione sotto

acqua corrente e non immergere mai in acqua.

Non utilizzare alcun detergente aggressivo o

abrasivo.

Decalcificante:

Calcificazioni all’interno dell’apparecchio sono

inevitabili. Una regolare azione decalcificante

(dopo 40 utilizzi del filtro) assicura un perfetto

funzionamento. Si consiglia l’utilizzo di SWIRL

decalcificante biologico o SWIRL®decalcificante

rapido.

Importante:

Dopo l’applicazione del decalcificante effettuare 2

o 3 bolliture con acqua limpida, fredda (senza

caffè).

I ricambi del bricco di vetro sono reperibili in

commercio.

Avvertenze:

xDurante l’utilizzo alcune parti dell’apparecchio

si surriscaldano (ad esempio la piastra

termica). Evitare il contatto.

xUtilizzare l’apparecchio esclusivamente al di

fuori della portata dei bambini.

xEvitare che il cavo d’alimentazione venga a

contatto con la piastra termica bollente.

xStaccare la spina della corrente prima di ogni

pulitura ed in caso di prolungata assenza.

xNon immergere mai l’apparecchio in acqua.

xBricco di vetro e coperchio non sono adatti per

microonde.

xNon riempire mai con acqua bollente, solo con

acqua fresca.

xNon estrarre mai il filtro durante la bollitura.

xLa sostituzione del cavo di alimentazione e

tutte le altre riparazioni possono essere

eseguite solo dal servizio assistenza clienti

Melitta o da analogo personale qualificato.

Avant la première utilisation

xLire attentivement le mode d’emploi et les

conseils de sécurité.

xVérifier que le voltage de la cafetière est

adapté à votre installation électrique.

xRemplir le réservoir d’eau froide et faire fonc-

tionner la cafetière sans café, en laissant

passer toute l’eau afin de nettoyer l’appareil.

Préparation du café

Aromagic System : l’expertise de Melitta au

service d’une technologie unique pour libérer tout

l’arôme du café. La cafetière reproduit le

mécanisme de la filtration manuelle : l’eau est

chauffée et accumulée dans un réservoir situé au

dessus du filtre. Quand le réservoir est plein, l’eau

est versée par vagues successives pour brasser

et imprégner toute le mouture, permettant ainsi au

café de libérer tout son arôme.

1. Brancher l’appareil.

2. Verser la quantité d’eau froide souhaitée dans

le réservoir à l’aide de la verseuse (fig. 1). Se

reporter à la graduation de tasses imprimée

sur la verseuse et vérifier avec l’indicateur du

niveau d’eau de la cafetière. (fig. 2)

3. Faire pivoter le support filtre vers la droite.

4. Replier les bords du filtre (taille 1 x 4) et le

placer dans le support filtre .(fig. 3)

5. Verser le café moulu dans le filtre. Conseil: une

mesure (environ 6 g) par tasse.

6. Repousser le support filtre dans l’appareil.

7. Placer la verseuse avec le couvercle sur la

plaque chauffante. Afin que le stop-goutte

fonctionne parfaitement, la verseuse doit être

placée sur la plaque chauffante, la poignée sur

le devant.

8. Mettre l’appareil en marche, l’interrupteur à

témoin lumineux s’allume (fig. 4).

9. Le stop goutte de la cafetière empêche le café

de couler, lorsque la verseuse est retirée

(fig. 5).

10.La plaque chauffante maintient le café à la

bonne température aussi longtemps que

l’appareil reste en marche.

Conseils d’utilisation

ÖPour un meilleur résultat, nous vous

conseillons de ne pas garder le café chaud

plus d’une heure. Veillez à ce que le couvercle

soit bien sur la verseuse lors de la préparation

du café.

ÖSi vous souhaitez refaire du café, éteindre la

cafetière pendant 5 minutes avant de relancer

une préparation.

Entretien

Retirer la prise du secteur avant de nettoyer

l’appareil.

Parties amovibles:

Support filtre pivotant (fig. 6), verseuse et

couvercle peuvent aller au lave-vaisselle.

Le corps de l’appareil:

Utiliser un chiffon humide. N’utiliser que des

produits d’entretien non abrasifs. Ne pas plonger

l’appareil dans l’eau.

Détartrage

Les dépôts calcaires étant inévitables, nous vous

recommandons un détartrage toutes les 40 utili-

sations environ.

Utiliser de préférence les détartrants Melitta.

Important:

Procéder après le détartrage à au moins

3 rinçages à l’eau claire.

Verseuse de remplacement

Disponible dans votre point de vente.

Conseils de sécurité:

xLors de la préparation du café, éviter tout

contact avec la cafetière, certains éléments

extérieurs de l’appareil devenant très chauds.

xNe pas laisser l’appareil à la portée des

enfants.

xLe cordon d’alimentation ne doit pas être en

contact avec la plaque chauffante de l’appareil.

xAvant chaque nettoyage ou lors d’absence

prolongée, débrancher votre appareil.

xNe jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau.

xNe pas utiliser la verseuse et le couvercle dans

le four à micro-ondes.

xNe pas verser d’eau chaude dans la cafetière.

xLe cordon d’alimentation ne peut être rem-

placé que par un professionnel auquel il faut

s’adresser pour toute réparation.
