Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the LINDY RS232 Extender over

Cat.5, which extends control of any RS232 protocol device up

to 2000 metres. It provides full duplex transmission with no

need for any complicated set-up procedures.

Installation

Connect your computer to the transmitter of the LINDY RS232

Extender by use of a standard D9 female to male serial cable.

Then connect the transmitter with the receiver by use of a Cat.5

(or higher) cable at a maximum length of 2000m. Now connect

the receiver with the RS232 device by use of a D9 female to

male serial cable. Finally connect the supplied power adapters

to the transmitter and receiver.

Installation

Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer mit dem Transmitter/Sender

des LINDY RS232 Extenders. Verwenden Sie dazu ein

serielles Kabel (D9 Buchse an Stecker). Anschließend

verbinden Sie den Transmitter mit dem Receiver. Verwenden

Sie dazu ein max. 2000m langes Cat.5 (oder höher) Kabel.

Nun schließen Sie ein RS232-Gerät mittels seriellem Kabel

(D9 Stecker an Buchse) am Receiver an. Zum Schluss

schließen Sie die Netzteile am Transmitter und Receiver an.

Installation

Connectez votre ordinateur avec le transmitter de l’extender

RS232 en utilisant un câble série D9 femelle vers mâle. Con-

nectez ensuite le transmitter avec le receiver en utilisant un

câble Cat.5 (ou supérieur) d’une longueur maximale de

2000m. Connectez ensuite le receiver avec le périphérique

RS232 en utilisant un câble série D9 mâle vers femelle. Con-

nectez ﬁnalement les alimentations fournies aux transmitter et

receiver.

Installazione

Collegate il trasmettitore al computer tramite un cavo seriale

D9 femmina/maschio. Collegate le due unità con un cavo di

rete Cat.5e (o superiore) lungo ﬁno a 2000m. Poi collegate il

riceivitore al dispositivo RS232 con un cavo seriale D9

maschio/femmina. In ﬁne collegate l’alimentatore al

trasmettitore e al ricevitore.
