ALTERNATIVEMETHODOFSEALING

1. Applysiliconesealant (notsupplied)totheundersideof

thesinkrim,asshowning.5.

2. Removesurplussealantfromaroundthesinkusing dampa 

cloth.

NOTE: During installation care should be taken to ensure

the sinkisprotectedfromscuffsandscratches.Strainingand

overtighteningofallplumbingxturesconnectedtothesink

shouldbeavoided.Installersshouldcarefullycheckthatthe

moulding andthe edgesof the sinkare deadlevel so that

waterwillow thedrainer.off

INSTALLSINK.

PREPARINGTHEWORKTOP

1. Itisrecommendedthattheinsetsinkisttedtotheworktop

beforebeingpermanentlyxedtothecabinet.

2. Placethesinkupsidedownonworktop.Positionthesink

relativetotheworktopasrequired,ensuringthatthecabinet

frameworkwillbeclearofallpartsofthesink.

 Withasharpsoftpencildrawroundsinkasaccuratelyas

possible.Seeg.1.

3. Remove the sink and draw another line 10mm inside        

theout-lineofthesinktop.Thisisthecuttinglineforthe

aperture.

4. Drillaslarge holea aspossibleinsidethecuttingline.Using

apadsaw,jigsaworsimilar,cutouttheaperture.Atthis

pointwewouldrecommendthattheworktopapertureis

sealed. dothispaintoverwithap.v.a.adhesive,paint,To

varnishorsmearwithsiliconesealant.

PREPARINGTHESINK

1. Ifatapholeisrequired,buthasnotbeensuppliedinthe

sink,proceedasfollows.

 Decidewhetherthebowlistobeontheleftorrighthand

when thesink is tted.Cut the appropriate tapholeinto

thesink.Todothisyouwillneedaholesawortankcutter

settocutouta35mmdiameterholeandapilotdrill.On

thereversesideofthesinkyouwillndalocationpoint

forthepilotdrillinthecentreofthetapcut-out.Drillout

thepilothole.TurnthesinkoverandcarefullydrilLcOt4he

tap-hole.

straandNeostonearerevolutionarysinkmaterials

thatareextremelyrobustandhardwearing.How-

ever both materials will benet from a little care

andattentiontoensurelastinggoodlooksandper-

formance. Please read the following care advice

carefully.

Cleaning

Foreverydaycleaningadampclothwithordinary

washingupliquidwillsufce.Heavierstainingcan

beremovedwithacreamcleanere.g.Cifonadamp

cloth.Reallystubbornstainsshouldbetreatedto

anovernightsoakingindilutedbleach.Pleasedo

notuseabrasive powdersorsteelscouring pads

as they may affect the surface gloss. Do not at-

tempttoremovelimescalebyscrapingit off,anap-

plicationofcitricacid(lemonjuice)should,withthe

helpof a stiffbrush, removeanydeposits. Silver

streaksonthesurfaceofthesink are caused by

aluminiumutensilsandarenotscratches,theycan

beeasilyremovedwithacreamcleaner.

HeatResistance

Velstra and Neostone are highly resistant to ex-

tremesoftemperatureandwillwithstandhotpans

upto230°Cbutavoidpanscontainingveryhotoil

abovethistemperature.

ChemicalResistance

Velstra and Neostone are resistant to just about

any chemical found in the home, but be careful,

thesedayswastesystemsaremadefromplastic

materialswhichmaynotbe.Thecolouredwastes

suppliedasstandardwiththesink,aremadefrom

atoughplasticmaterialbutthesearenotresistant

tosomesolvents,especially nailvarnishremover,

acetoneandnitrothinners.

FurtherAdvice

Donotusethedrainerasachoppingboard.Ahard

woodchoppingboardorpolyethylenefoodboard

isavailableasanoptionalextra.

Avoidplasticwashingupbowls,theypickupne

particlesofgritwhichtransformsthemintoveryef-

cientgrindingsurfacescausingwearonyoursink.

DerInstallateursolltesorgfältigstkontrollieren,obDeckleiste

undKantenderSpülevollkommenwaagerechtsind,damit

dasWasservonderAblaufftächeabießenkann.

BITTE VOR EINBAU DER SPÜLE

AUFMERKSAM LESEN.

VORBEREITUNG DER ARBEITSPLATTE

1.Esempehltsich,dieEinbauspülezuerstindieArbeitsplatte

einzulassenunddannerstdauerhaftamUnterschrankzu

befestigen.

2.Drehen Sie die Spüle und legen Sie sie der   um     in 

gewünschtenEinbaulageaufdieArbeitsplatte.Dabeidarauf

achten,daßdieSpüleunddazugehörigenTeilenichtans

GestelldesUnterschranksanstoßen.DannzeichnenSie

die Umrisse der Spüle mit einem angespitzten weichen       

Bleistiftmöglichstgenaunach.SieheAbb.1.

3.Nehmen Sie die Spüle von der Platte ab und zeichnen         

SieparallelzudenmarkiertenUmrissenund10mmnach

innenversetzteineweitereLinie,diedannalsvorlagezum

AussägenderAusnehmungfürdieSpüledient.

4.DiemarkierteFlächemiteinemmöglichstgroßenBohrer

anbohren und dann mit einer Stichsäge, Lochsäge o.ä.       

aussägen.Wirempfehlen,dieSchnittkantederArbeitsplatte

jetztabzudichten.DazudieKantemitPVA-KleberoderLack

bestreichenbzw.Silikondichtmasseauftragen.

VORBEREITUNG DER SPÜLE

1.WenneinLochfürdenWasserhahnbenötigtwird,jedochin

derSpülenichtvorgesehenist,gehtmanfolgendermaßen

vor:

 EntscheidenSie,obdasBeckennachEinbauderSpüle

linksoderrechtsseinsoll,undschneidenSieeinepassende

Ausnehmung für den Wasserhahn die Spül Dazu    in  e. 

benötigen Sie eine Lochsäge oder einen Tankschneider      

eingestelltaufeinenLochausschnittvon35mmDurchmesser,

undeinenVorbohrer.SuchenSieaufderUnterseiteder

Spüle-einenAnsatzpunktfürdenVorbohrer,genauinder

MittederAusnehmungfürdenWasserhahn.DanndasLoch

vorbohren,dieSpüleumdrehenunddieAusnehmungfür

denWasserhahnvorsichtigausbohren.

ACHTUNG!VelstraundNeostoneProdukteenthalteneinen

Silikafüllstoff.BeijeglichenBohr oder- Schneidarbeitenfällt

feinerQuarzsandan.Materialdahernuringutbelüfteten

Räumenbearbeiten.

2.DieBefestigungsklemmen,wieinAbb. dargestellt,2 ander

SpüleanbringenundnachhintenhinvonderSpülenkante

wegklappen.

3.J e t z t p r ob i e r en , 

Eventuell muß das  

Loch im Bereich  

der Klemmen etwas  

vergrößertwerden.

4.Wasserhahn an der  

spüleanbringen.

5.Abflüsse nach der  

Ihnen beiliegenden 

AnleitungindieSpüle

einbauen.

6.Schaumstoffdichtung an der Spülenkante anbringen.    

SchutzpapierabziehenunddenDichtungsstreifen,wiein

Abb.3dargestellt,anderSpülefestkleben.Dabeidarauf

achten, daß die Dichtungsenden sauber und bündig      

abschließen.

EINBAU DER SPÜLE

1.Spüle in die Ausnehmung   

einsetzen.

2.DieBefestigungsklemmen,

wie in  4 dargestellt, Abb 

spannen.Daraufachten,daß

die Schaumstoffdichtung 

s o f e s t w i e m ö g l i c h   

zusammengedrücktist,die

Klemmen jedoch nicht zu   

festanziehen.

3.Heiß-undKaltwasserleitung

a n d e n Wa s s e r h a h n  

anschließen.
