1. Make certain the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Fan.

2. Make certain that the room is equipped with a working smoke detector.

3. Use this Fan only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause ﬁre, electrical shock,

OR MOVING THE FAN. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. ALWAYS TURN OFF AND UNPLUG FAN BEFORE

LEAVING THE AREA. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED WHEN THE FAN IS ON OR PLUGGED IN.

sion cord, minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest cord possible and ensuring that it is UL listed. NEVER use a single

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug

is intended to ﬁt in a polarized outlet only one way. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot. Fully insert. If the plug does

not ﬁt fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat

this safety feature.

CONTROL REMOTO:

Todas las funciones realizadas con el Control Remoto funcionan

idénticamente a los controles manuales. (Figura 2).

FUNCIONAMIENTO (Figura 1)

1. Cuidadosamente retire el Ventilador de la caja.

2. Coloque el ventilador sobre una superﬁcie ﬁrme y nivelada.

ADVERTENCIA: Los tacos de plástico o hule, tales como las patas

de esta unidad, pueden pegarse a la superﬁcie de los muebles.

La unidad podría dejar un residuo capaz de oscurecer, manchar

o dejar marcas permanentes en el acabado de ciertas superﬁcies

de muebles, incluyendo superﬁcies y pisos de madera.

3. Conecte el cable eléctrico a un tomacorriente de 120 V~.

Asegúrese que el enchufe encaje ﬁrmemente en el

tomacorriente.

Cuando los enchufes quedan flojos en los

tomacorrientes, pueden deslizarse parcial o

completamente fuera del tomacorriente con un leve

movimiento del cable adosado. Los tomacorrientes

4. Para ajustar la direccion del aire, simplemente jire la cabeza

del ventilador.

5. La cremallera con un adjuste de mantendra el ventilador en la

posicion deseada.

NOTA: El ensamble de la cremallera en el Ventilador esta disenada

para que trabe en cada posicion. Asi que cuando ajuste el angulo

del ventilador oira un sonido lo cual es normal.

6. Conecte la energía eléctrica a su ventilador pulsando el Botón

Alimentación ( ) en el Ventilador.

7. -VELOCIDAD DEL VENTILADOR: Ahora puede ajustar la ve

locidad del ventilador al nivel deseado - Alta, Mediana ó Baja

- pulsando el Botón Velocidad ( ) en el Ventilador.

8. FUNCIÓN DE TEMPORIZADOR: Este ventilador tiene un

temporizador que le permite ﬁjar el tiempo de funcionamiento

pulsando el Botón Función de Temporizador ( ), ubicado en

la zona de los controles en el ventilador. Pulse la tecla una vez

para dos hora de funcionamiento, dos veces para cuatro horas

y tres veces para ocho horas. Si se pulsa por cuarta vez, el

ventilador vuelve al modo de funcionamiento continuo.

9.Después de apagar el Ventilador, desconecte la unidad del

tomacorriente eléctrico.

Sólo uso #6-32 X 1" tornillos para montar este Ventilador. La lon-

gitud del tornillo debe ser lo suﬁcientemente larga para ajustarse

al clavo pared. Si un clavo no puede ser montado ni si el Ventilador

se monta en una pared utilice unas anclas mas covenientes para

este tipo de montaje.

Al montar el Ventilador a la pared, el conjunto de cuerda se debe

localizar entre el Cuerpo del Ventilador y la Yunta del Ventilador.

8. Donde sea posible, evite el uso de cables de alargue porque el cable de alargue podría sobrecalentarse y provocar un incendio. Si debe usar un cable

de alargue, minimice el riesgo de sobrecalentamiento usando el cable más corto posible y garantizando que esté autorizado por UL (Underwriters

Laboratories). NUNCA use un solo cable de alargue para hacer funcionar a más de un Ventilador.

9. NUNCA ponga en funcionamiento ningún Ventilador con un cable o enchufe dañado o después que el Ventilador haya tenido fallas de funcionamiento,

11. Siempre coloque el Ventilador en una superﬁcie estable, plana y nivelada mientras esté en funcionamiento, para evitar la posibilidad de que el

Ventilador se caiga. Coloque el Cable Eléctrico de modo tal que el Ventilador u otros objetos no estén apoyados sobre el mismo. No coloque el

cable de corriente debajo de alfombras. No cubra el cable de corriente con tapetes, alfombras estrechas o artículos de coberturas similares. No

coloque el cable de corriente debajo de muebles o artefactos. Coloque el cable de corriente lejos del tráﬁco de la habitación, donde las personas

no se tropiecen con éste.

12. Este Ventilador no está destinado para ser usado en lugares húmedos o mojados. Nunca coloque un Ventilador donde pueda caer dentro de una

tina de baño u otro recipiente de agua. NUNCA use un Ventilador donde se usen o almacenen líquidos inﬂamables.

13. NUNCA use el Ventilador al aire libre.

14. Cuando use el control remoto de su televisor u otro equipamiento, veriﬁque para controlar que no encienda el Ventilador también.

15. Mantenga la unidad de control remoto del Ventilador lejos de sillas y de su cama donde exista la posibilidad de que alguien se siente encima, deposite

elementos sobre él o encienda el Ventilador inadvertidamente.

16. NOTA: Este equipo ha sido probado y cumple con los límites para aparatos digitales Clase B, conforme a la Parte 15 de las Normas de la FCC. Estos

límites están diseñados para brindar protección razonable contra la interferencia perjudicial en una instalación residencial. Este equipo genera,

OPERATION (Figure 1)

1. Carefully remove the Fan from the carton.

2. Place the Fan on a ﬁrm and level surface.

CAUTION: Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may stick

to furniture surfaces and/or hardwood ﬂoors. The unit may leave a

residue that could darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on

the ﬁnish of certain furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces,

and/or hardwood ﬂoors.

3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet.

Be sure that the plug ﬁts tightly into outlet.

When plugs ﬁt loosely into receptacles, they may

slip partially or completely out of the receptacle

with only the slight movement of the attached cord.

Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose

a serious ﬁre hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape,

the ﬁre hazard is even greater.

4. To adjust direction of air, simply tilt the head of the fan.

5. The ratchet adjustment will securely locate and hold the fan in

the desired position.

NOTE: The ratchet assembly on this Fan is designed for positive

lock positioning. Therefore, when adjusting the fan angle, you will

hear a clicking sound. This is normal.

6. Apply power to your fan by pushing the Power Button ( ).

7. FAN SPEED: You may now adjust the fan speed to the desired

level, High, Medium or Low by pressing the Fan Speed Button

( ) on the Fan.

8. TIMER FUNCTION: This fan is equipped with a timer that allows

you to set the length of operation by pressing the Timer Function

Button ( ) on the control area of the fan or the remote control.

Press it once for two hours, twice for four hours, a third time for

eight hours. A fourth time will reset the fan to continuous

running mode.

9. After turning the Fan off, unplug the unit from the electrical

outlet.

REMOTE CONTROL:

All the functions performed with the Remote Control work identi-

cally to the manual controls. (Figure 2)

1. Install batteries (not supplied) as shown in Figure 2. The

battery is type "AAA".

2. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline,

standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)

batteries

3. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BATTERIES MAY

EXPLODE OR LEAK.

If you lose your remote control, please call Customer Service to

order a replacement at 1-800-233-0268, Monday through Fri-

day, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

WALLMOUNT:

THIS FAN MUST BE MOUNTED ON A STRUCTURALLY SOLID

FLAT SURFACE.

Only use #6-32 X 1" screws to mount this Fan. The screw length

must be long enough to engage the wall stud. If a stud cannot be

found or if the Fan is mounted on a masonry wall, obtain suitable

mounting anchors.

When mounting the Fan to the wall, the cord set MUST BE located

between the Body of the Fan and the Yoke of the Fan. (Figure 3)
