This manual contains important instructions for this UPS

that should be followed during installation and maintenance

of the UPS and batteries.

• This UPS utilizes voltage that may be hazardous. Do not attempt

to disassemble the unit. The unit contains no user replaceable

parts. Only factory service personnel may perform repairs.

• Internal battery voltage is 12Vdc. Sealed, lead-acid, 6 cells

battery.

• Connection to any other type of receptacle other than a two-pole,

three-wire grounded receptacle may result in shock hazard as well

as violate local electrical codes.

• In the event of an emergency, press the "OFF" button and

disconnect the power cord from the AC power supply to properly

disable the UPS.

• Do not allow any liquids or any foreign object to enter the UPS.

Do not place beverages or any other liquid-containing vessels on or

near the unit.

• This unit is intended installation in a controlled environment

(temperature controlled, indoor area free of conductive

contaminants). Avoid installing the UPS in locations where there is

standing or running water, or excessive humidity.

• Do not plug the UPS input into its own output.

• Do not attach a power strip or surge suppressor to the UPS.

• Do not attach non-computer-related items, such as medical

equipment, life-support equipment, microwave ovens, or vacuum

cleaners to UPS.

• To reduce the risk of overheating the UPS, do not cover the UPS'

cooling vents and avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight or

installing the unit near heat emitting appliances such as space

heater or furnaces.

• Unplug the UPS prior to cleaning and do not use liquid or spray

detergent.

• Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Release

electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It may be toxic.

• A battery can present a risk of electrical shock and high short

circuit current. The following precautions should be observed

when working on batteries:

1) Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects from the

hands.

2) Use tools with insulated handles.

3) Wear rubber gloves and boots.

4) Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.

5) Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or

disconnecting batteries terminal.

• Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by

personnel knowledgeable of batteries and the required

precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.

• When replacing batteries, replace with the same number and

type of sealed lead-acid battery. The maximum ambient

temperature rating is 40°C.

• During the installation of this equipment it should be assured

that the sum of the leakage currents of the UPS and the

connected loads does not exceed 3.5mA.

• This pluggable type A equipment with battery already installed

by the supplier is operator installable and may be operated by

laymen.

• Attention, hazardous through electric shock. Also with

disconnection of this unit from the mains, hazardous voltage still

may be accessible through supply from battery. The battery

supply should be therefore disconnected in the plus and minus

pole of the battery when maintenance or service work inside the

UPS is necessary.

• The mains socket outlet that supplies the UPS shall be installed

near the UPS and shall be easily accessible.

Probable Cause

Low battery.

Battery fault.

The UPS is not turned on.

The UPS is overloaded.

The UPS is overloaded.

Battery voltage is too low.

Battery defect. It might be due to high

temperature operation environment, or

improper operation to battery.

Power cord is loose.

Solution

Charge the battery at least 8 hours.

Replace the battery with the same type of battery.

Press the power switch again to turn on the UPS.

Remove some loads first. Before reconnecting

equipment, please verify that the load matches

the UPS capability specified in the specs.

Remove some critical load.

Charge the battery at least 8 hours.

Replace the battery with the same type of battery.

Reconnect the power cord properly.

Problem

No LED display on

the front panel.

Alarm continuously sounds

when the mains is normal.

When power fails, backup

time is shorten.

The mains is normal but

LED is flashing.

X. WARRANTY

This warranty gives you legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This product

is warranted against malfunctions and defects in material and workmanship for a period of

3 years and 2 years in battery.

THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY to any products or parts there-of which have damaged by tampering,

misuse or abuse or which have been altered or repaired by an unauthorized person or service center.

FOR REPAIR, the inoperative “UPS” must be delivered with shipping and delivery charges prepaid, together with

satisfactory evidence of the purchase date to the dealer from whom it was purchased. Koblenz will either repair or

replace, at its election, all defective “UPS” during the warranty period.

THE FOREGOING OBLIGATIONS ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITIES INCLUDING

NEGLIGENCE AND STATE KOBLENZ’S ENTIREAND EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY AND PURCHASER’S EXCLUSIVE

REMEDY. KOBLENZ WILL IN NO EVENT, BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES WHATSOEVER, AND KOBLENZ LIABILITY UNDER NO

CIRCUMSTANCES WILL EXCEED THE CONTRACT PRICE FOR THE GOODS OR PARTS FOR WHICH

LIABILITY IS CLAIMED.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation

or exclusion may not apply to you.

X. GARANTÍA

CONDICIONES:

1. Para hacer efectiva esta garantía, no podrá exigirse mayores requisitos que la presentación de esta póliza junto con

el producto en el lugar donde fue adquirido o en cualquiera de los Centros de Servicio Autorizados.

2. La empresa se compromete a reparar o cambiar el producto, así como las piezas y componentes defectuosos del

mismo, sin ningún cargo para el consumidor; los costos del transporte que se deriven de su cumplimiento serán

cubiertos por el fabricante o por el importador.

3. El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor de 30 días contados a partir de la recepción del producto en

cualquiera de los sitios en donde pueda hacerse efectiva.

4. En cualquiera de los Centros de Servicio Autorizados podrá adquirir las refacciones y partes.

5. La reposición del fusible queda fuera de garantía.

ESTA GARANTÍA NO ES VÁLIDA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:

A. Cuando el producto p1-ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.

B. Cuando el producto no p1-ha sido operado de acuerdo con el manual de uso proporcionado.

C. Cuando el producto p1-ha sido alterado o reparado por personas no autorizadas por la empresa.

El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa comercial donde adquirió el producto.

NOTA: En caso de que la presente garantía se extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su proveedor para que le

expida otra póliza con previa presentación de la nota o factura de compra.
