Power cable
βMake sure that the mains cable (power supply cable) is not damaged or does
not become damaged.

A unit with a damaged mains cable must be disconnected from the mains
(unplug it at the socket) and repaired by an electrical specialist before being
used again.

Power supply voltage
β
Operate the unit only at the speciο¬ ed mains voltage. The mains voltage is
shown on the rear of the unit or on the external power supply unit.
βThe unit may only be connected to the mains and turned on once it has been
connected to the antenna and to the TV set or the cable network and PC.
Accessibility of the mains socket
Position the unit close to an easily accessible mains socket so that you can switch
oο¬ the power at any time if required.
Playing children
Make sure that children do not push any objects into the ventilation slots.
Cleaning
βDisconnect the mains plug before cleaning the unit.
βNever open the casing of the unit.
βDo not insert anything into the ventilation slots.
βUse a dry cloth for cleaning.
βRestrict cleaning to only the outer surface of the unit.
Ambient conditions
βThe receiver and power supply unit are for indoor use only!
βThe unit should be protected from damp, dripping water and splashing.
β Do not operate the unit in damp areas.
β Only use the unit in a moderate climate, not in tropical conditions!
β Do not place any vessels containing liquid (such as vases) on the unit.

Repair
Ensure that any repairs to your unit are carried out by qualiο¬ ed personnel.
βImproper work on the unit may jeopardise the electrical safety of the unit.
βThe manufacturer accepts no liability for accidents caused by the user opening
the unit casing!
βOpening the unit and attempting to repair it yourself voids all warranty claims.
Earthing the antenna system
An incorrectly earthed antenna system can lead to overvoltage in the event of a
lightning strike. Earth the antenna system in accordance with regulations or con-
nect an equipotential bonding conductor. When doing so, comply with EN 60728/11
and national regulations where applicable.
