1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Dear customer,
thank you very much for choosing our product.
In the following, we will introduce you to what to observe while starting
up and using this product.
Should you encounter any unexpected problems during use, please do
not hesitate to contact us.
2. CONNECTING THE PROTO+
To use the Proto+ prototype expansion board, simply plug it into the 40-
pin connector strip of your Raspberry Pi and attach it using the supplied
mounting material, as shown in the picture below.
3. PIN DECLARATION
In this section, we briefly explain the functions of the individual pins.
GPIO: 14 available GPIO pins are accessible and freely usable via corres-
ponding pins and screw terminals. Each connection is labeled with the
GPIO number of the connected pin.
5V/3.3V: The pins for 5 V and 3.3 V of the Raspberry Pi are brought out
together with the GND pins on these pins and screw terminals.
UART: UART communication is enabled via the TXD (GPIO 14) and RXD
(GPIO 15) pins, which are available on these pins and screw terminals.
I2C: For I2C communication, the SDA (GPIO 2) and SCL (GPIO 3) pins are
available on these pins and screw terminals.
SPI: SPI communication uses the pins MISO (GPIO 9), MOSI (GPIO 10),
SCLK (GPIO 11), CE0 (GPIO 8) and CE1 (GPIO 7), which are available on
these pins and screw terminals.
SOIC16: This area allows ICs with up to 16 legs to be soldered or plugged
directly onto the board.
Breadboard: This area oers the possibility to solder cables to build your
own circuits.
