The COM-AM01 is a compact and versatile digital DC ammeter designed for
precise and reliable current measurement in a wide range of low-voltage
applications. Operating with a supply voltage between 4 and 30 V DC, it
measures currents from 0 to 20 A DC with a fine resolution of 0.1 A, making it
ideal for laboratories, mobile power systems, and custom electronic projects.
Equipped with a bright 0.56″ per digit red LED display featuring a 3-digit
segment layout, the module oers excellent readability even in bright ambient
light. The 500 ms refresh rate ensures a smooth and responsive display, while
the ±1 % + 2 digits accuracy provides dependable measurement results.
A special highlight of the COM-AM01 is the integrated calibration
potentiometer, which allows users to fine-tune and recalibrate the display for
maximum precision. This feature makes the module especially valuable for
long-term installations or applications where exact current values are critical.
The ammeter uses a four-wire connection system: two thicker
leads (red and black) are dedicated to current measurement,
while two thinner wires provide the power supply and ground
reference. This separation minimizes measurement interference
and ensures stable operation even under load variations.
With its robust and lightweight construction (28 g), wide operating
temperature range (–10 °C to +65 °C), and compact dimensions (48 × 29
× 22 mm), the COM-AM01 is easy to integrate into control panels, power
distribution boxes, laboratory instruments, and embedded systems.
Whether in industrial, automotive, or educational environments, the COM-
AM01 delivers a cost-eective, space-saving, and highly accurate solution for
monitoring DC currents — complemented by its user-adjustable calibration
potentiometer for optimal long-term performance.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Please read these safety instructions carefully before
installing or operating the device. Improper use or incorrect
wiring may lead to damage, malfunction, or personal injury.
This measuring instrument is designed exclusively for DC voltage and
current measurement within the specified technical limits. Do not use
it for AC applications or beyond its rated values. Operate the device
only within the voltage range stated in the specifications. Connecting
the instrument to higher voltages can cause permanent damage.
Disconnect all power sources before wiring or modifying connections.
Ensure correct polarity of all terminals (V+, V–, A+, A–). Use properly
dimensioned cables and connectors suitable for the expected current,
and avoid loose connections, short circuits, and exposed conductors.
There is a risk of electric shock, which can result in serious injury or death. Work
on high-voltage circuits or live electrical systems should only be performed by
qualified electricians or trained professionals. Always ensure that the power
supply is disconnected before performing any installation or maintenance work.
The instrument is intended for dry indoor environments. Protect it
from moisture, condensation, high humidity, and direct sunlight. Do
not touch the measuring terminals during operation. Ensure adequate
ventilation and do not cover the display or heat-dissipating components.
The module must not be operated near flammable materials or gases.
Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply. Use a dry, so cloth only – never
solvents or aggressive cleaners. The device contains no user-serviceable parts;
repairs should only be carried out by the manufacturer or qualified personnel.
Dispose of the device according to local electronic waste
regulations (WEEE). Do not dispose of it in household waste.
Incorrect wiring or use beyond the specified limits may lead to overheating,
damage, fire, or electric shock. Always verify polarity, voltage, and proper
wiring before connecting the device.
