1.Install your Interface Card

Ensure the card isinstalled perthe

manufacturer's instructions.

Connecttheinternal IDEorSATApower

connectoron the cardto the computer

power supply.

Alternatively, use yourPC's built-in host

controller, if equipped.

Openthe WindowsDevice Manager. Ensure the card isproperlyinstalledunder

Network Adapters.An exclamationpoint (!)next to the card indicatesthe

driverhas notyetbeeninstalled.

2.Install theFlyCapture®Software

Note: Forexisting users who alreadyhave FlyCapture installed, we

recommend ensuring you have the latest version foroptimalperformance

ofyour camera. Ifyou do notneed toinstallFlyCapture, usethe

DriverControlGUIto install and enabledrivers foryourcard.

a.Login to our downloads page.

b.Select yourandfromthe drop-down listsandCameraOperating System

click thebutton.Search

c.Click on theSoftware search resultstoexpand thelist.

d.Click the appropriate linkto begin the downloadand installation.

Afterthe download iscomplete, theFlyCapture setup wizard begins.Ifthe

wizard doesnot start automatically,double-clickthe .exe file to openit. Follow

the steps in each setupdialog.

3. Enable the Driversforthe card

Duringinstallation, you areprompted to selectyourinterface driver.

In thedialog, selecttheInterface Driver SelectionI will use GigEcameras.

This selection ensuresthe ImageFilterdriverisinstalled and enabled.

Note: GigEVision camerason Linuxsystems use native Ubuntudrivers.

To uninstallorreconfigurethedriveratany time aftersetupis complete, use the

DriverControlGUI.

4. Configure IPSettings

Afterinstallation is complete, the GigEConfiguratoropens.Thistoolallowsyou

to configuretheIPsettings ofthe cameraand network card.

Ifthe GigEConfiguratordoesnotopen automatically, openthe tool fromStart

Menu>FlyCapture SDK>Utilities>GigEConfigurator. Ifpromptedto enable

GigEenumeration, select.Yes

a.Inthe, select the LocalAreaConnection corresponding totheleft pane

networkinterface card (NIC) to which the camerais connected.

b.Inthe, review maximum transmission unit (MTU). Ifnot9000,right pane

enablejumbo frames on the NIC byclickingOpenNetwork Connections.

(While mostNICs support9000-bytejumboframes, this featuremay be

disabledby default.)
