INSTALLATION
The appliance has been designed as exhausting (external exhausting) or
fi e ng hood t nal re r a n The p ance s to in a ed at alt ri (in er ci cul tio ). ap li ha be st ll
minimum height of 650 mm. above the electric cookers or 750 mm. abov e
the gas or mixed ones. Should connecting pipe composed of or mor a 2 e
parts be used, the upper part has to be outside the lower one. Do not connect
the discharge pipe to flue in which warm air circulates or which is used a to
remove fumes of the appliances which are powered with different energ a y
from the electric one. Pay attention if an exhausting hood and burner a or
a afireplace depending on the air of the room and which are powered with
different energy from the electric one work at the same time, because during
the aspiration the hood takes the air away from the room, that air which is
necessary to the burner or the fireplace for the combustion. So for saf a e
working, provide for proper ventilation of the room. For the externa a l
exhausting conform to the laws in force in your country , .
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIO N
The appliance is built in class II, so no wire has to be connected with the earth
ter inalm .
The connection to the electrical mains must be made as follows :
BROWN = L e liv
BLU = N . neutral
If it a onis not supplied, fit plug normalized on the cord for the load showed
the rating plate. In the case of a direct connection to the mains, it is necessary
to place between the appliance and the mains an omnipolar switch wit h
minimum opening between contacts of 3 mm. dimensioned for the load and
corresponding with the laws in force .
ATTENTION: should the lamps not work, make sure they are well tightened .

In order to make this change (possible also after the use of the exhaustin g
system), demand set of carbon filters (F) fig. to your dealer. Activ a 3 e
carbon filters are necessary to depurate the air, that will be released in th e
room. Filters are not washable; they cannot be regenerated and have to be
replaced at most every months. The saturation of the activated charcoa 4 l
depends on the more or less prolonged use of the hood, on the type of
cooking and on the regularity of cleaning of the grease filter. The filter ha s

PLAATSING

Het apparaat moet op een hoogte van minimaal 650 mm vanaf ee n
el fo l t wor 750 af gaektrisch rnuis gep aats den of mm van een sfornu ofis een

uit twee of meer delen bestaat, dan moet het bovenste gedeelte aan de
buitenkant van het onderste gedeelte zitten. Sluit de afvoer van de afzuigka p
niet op een kanaal aan waarin warme lucht circuleert of dat gebruikt word t
voor het afvoeren van verbrandingsgassen van apparaten die door ee n
andere energiebron dan elektrische energie gevoed worden, omdat de ka p
tijdens het afzuigen de lucht die de brander of de haard nodig heeft voor de
verbranding aan de omgeving onttrekt. Voor een veilige werking dient u de
ruimte daarom goed te ventileren. Om de verbrandingsgassen naar buite n
af te voeren moet u zich aan de geldende voorschriften houden die in uw land
van toepassing zijn .
ELEKTRISCHE AANSLUITIN G
Het apparaat is gemaakt van klasse II, het snoer hoeft derhalve niet op ee n
geaard stopcontact aangesloten te worden .
De aansluiting op het elektriciteitsnet moet als volgt tot stand gebrach t
worden:
BRUINE DRAA D = L gleidin
BLAUWE DRAA nulleider D = N .
Als deze niet reeds is gemonteerd moet een stekker op het snoe u r
aansluiten die genormaliseerd is voor de belasting die op het typeplaatj e
staat. Als het snoer rechtstreeks op het elektriciteitsnet aansluit moet u u
tussen het apparaat en het net een meerpolige schakelaar plaatsen, me t
een minimale opening tussen de contacten van mm. Deze schakelaa 3 r
moet berekend zijn op de belasting en moet aan de geldende voorschrifte n
vol oend .
LET OP : u dals de lampen het niet doen moet controleren of ze goe
vastgedraaid zijn .
MONTAGE VAN DE AFZUIGKAP IN HET ONDERSTE GEDEELTE VA N
EE HAN UK NKAN GKE E ST
Dit apparaat moet ingebouwd worden in het onderste gedeelte van ee n
hangkeukenkast of een andere steun. Voor de bevestiging moet u 4
schroeven gebruiken die geschikt zijn voor het type meubel, waarbij gate u n
moet boren zoals blijkt uit fig. en 1 2.

Om de fzu gkap a i om te bou enw (dit is ook m k na ogelij dat de afzu gkap i reeds
als afzuigsysteem gebruikt heeft) moet u een set actieve koolstoffilters bij uw
leverancier bestellen (F) fig. 3. De actieve koolstoffilters dienen om de luch t
te zu vere ie er in et vertr wo dt azen. fi ters kunn i n d weer t ug h ek r gebl De l en
niet gereinigd of gezuiverd worden en moeten dan ook maximaal Ă©Ă©n kee r
in de maanden vervangen worden. De mate van verzadiging van 4 de
koolstof hangt af van het feit of de afzuigkap min of meer langdurig heef u t
gebruikt, van het type keuken en van de regelmaat waarmee de vetfilter s
gereinigd worden. De filters moeten op het afzuigblok gemonteerd worde n
die zich aan de binnenkant van de afzuigkap bevinden, de filters moeten in
het mi den da rvan ele d a g gd n e ° r nworde en vervolg ns 90 gedraaid wo de
totdat de filters vastklikken (zie fig. 3). Om dit te kunnen doen moet he u t
rooster (G) eraf halen (zie fig. 3). De lucht wordt weer in het vertrek
teruggeblazen via teen verbindingspijp die door het hangende gedeelte loop
en die op de meegeleverde verbindingsring (B) is aangesloten (zie fig. 1
en2).
G IK O OUDEBRU EN NDERH
We raden aan de afzuigkap aan te zetten voordat met U de bereiding begin t
en deze nog 15 minuten aan te laten staan nadat het eten klaar is, voor ee n
optimale luchtverversing. De goede werking van de afzuigkap hangt af va n
een regelmatig en grondig onderhoud, in het bijzonder van de vetfilter en van
de koolstoffilter. De -vetfilter houdt de vetdeeltjes die in de lucht circule
ren vast ,en raken daarom oververzadigd op onregelmatige tijden
afhankelijk van het gebruik van het apparaat .
De acrylfilter, op het rooster, moet vervangen worden als het opschrift ,
zichtbaar door het rooster, van kleur verandert en als de inkt zich verspreidt .
De nieuwe filter moet zodanig geplaatst worden dat het opschrift vanuit de
buitenkant van de afzuigkap, door het rooster, zichtbaar is .
Indien de acrylfilters geen opschrift hebben, of indien er een metalen filter of
een aluminium plaat is, om brand te voorkomen, de filters, hoogstens om de
twee maanden reinigen door de volgende handelingen uit te voeren :
- rFilters uit de kap halen en deze grondig reinigen in een sop van wate
en neutrale wasmiddel, op deze wijze het vuil verwijderen .
- .Grondig met lauw water afspoelen en laten drogen
De metalen filters of de aluminium plaat kunnen ook in de vaatmachin e
gereinigd worden .
Na verschillende wasbeurten, in het geval van een aluminiumfilter of ee n
aluminium plaat, kunnen kleurveranderingen plaatsvinden. Dit geeft echte r
niet het recht tot een eventuele vervanging ervan .
Als de vervang- en as oor chriften et acht genomen orden staa w v s ni in w be t
het gevaar dat de vetfilters gaan branden .
De koolstoffilters dienen om de lucht die weer in de omgeving afgegeve n
wordt te reinigen. De filters mogen niet gewassen of weer gebruikt worde n
en moeten hoogstens om de vier maanden vervangen worden. De verzadi -
ging van de koolstoffilter hangt af van een al dan niet intensief gebruik va n
het apparaat, van het type keuken en van de regelmaat waarop de reinigin g
van de vetfilter uitgevoerd wordt .
Regelmatig alle afzettingen op de ventilator en op de andere oppervlakte s
schoonmaken met een doek gedrenkt in gedenatureerd alcohol of in
vloeibare neutrale krasvrije wasmiddelen .
LET OP :

branders c.q. de platen te bereiden .
• Laat de branders niet open en bloot branden omdat dit schadelijk is voor
de filters en gevaarlijk is met het oog op brand .
• u teTijdens het frituren van etenswaren moet constant opletten om
voorkomen dat de olie door oververhitting vlam vat .
• nAlvorens onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan het apparaat te verrichte
moet eerst de stroom uitschakelen u .
De fabrikant kan op geen enkele wijze aansprakelijk worden gesteld voo r
schade die voortvloeit uit het niet in acht nemen van bovenstaand e
voorschriften.
Dit apparaat is conform de EMC Richtlijn 89/336EEG gewijzigd bi j
Richt /lijn 92 31 EE 93 68 EE/ G en / / G.
U INSE AND MA TENANCE
It is recommendable to turn on the device before cooking any type of food .
It is recommendable to leave the device operating for 15 minutes afte r
cooking food, for complete evacuation of vitiated air a .
Good functioning of the cooking hood depends on the frequency of mainte -
nance, particularly of the anti-grease filters and the active carbon filters .
The function of the anti-grease filter is to absorb greasy particles suspende d
in the air, therefore It is likely to get clogged depending on the use of the hood .
The acrylic filter, which rests on the grill, should be replaced when the writing ,
which can be seen through the grill, changes color and the ink expands. Th e
new filter must be placed so that the writing is visible through the grill fro m
outside of the hood .
In ca the acr fi se ylic lters don´t hav any e wri e m l orting or there ar eta
aluminum sheet filters, these must be washed after months at the latest, 2 in
order to prevent fire risk, following this procedure :
- a dRemove filters from the hood and wash them with mix of water an
neutral liquid detergent .

Metal or aluminum sheet filters can also be cleaned in the dish-washer .
After washing few imes alumin sh et filters an und rgo colo a t , um e c e r
alteration. Claims are not accepted, however, and no replacement will be
provided.
In case washing and maintenance instructions are not adequately observed ,
anti-grease filters may catch fire .
Active carbon filters are meant to purify air which is returned to the environ -
ment. Filters Cannot be washed or regenerated, so they must be replace d
every four months at the latest. The saturation of active carbon depends on
the use of the device, on the type of kitchen and on how frequently the anti -
grease filter is cleaned .
Clean frequently all deposits in the ventilator and other surfaces, using a cloth
dampened with denaturated alcohol or non-abrasive neutral liquid deter -
gents.
WARNING!!
UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES DOMESTIC APPLIANCES MAY BE
DANGEROUS.
• .Do not check filters with hood working
• a .Do not touch the lamps after prolonged use of the appliance
• .No food must be cooked flambé underneath the hood
• dThe use of an unprotected flame is dangerous for the filters and coul
cause fires .
• Watch constantly the fried food in order to avoid that the cooking oil flares
up.
• dBefore performing any mainteinance operation, disconnect the hoo
from the mains .
The manufacturers refuse to accept any responsability for eventual damages ,
because of failure to observe the above instructions .
