4. Place the matching insert over the pipe and

into the rod and screw the cap rmly into place.

5. Grip the short end of the pipe in a suitable die

and clamp it into a aring tool.

Important: The end can be ared at this time if

required. ONLY do this if the straightening rod

can be removed from the pipe after aring.

Ensure that the tube nut is installed on the

brake pipe before aring.

6. Slide the straightening rod along the pipe to

straighten the required length.

7. Cut the pipe to the required length, then

remove the straightening rod and release the

pipe from the aring tool.

3. Maintenance and Storage

• Clean the product of dust or debris before and

after each use.

• Replace any insert that shows signs of damage

or excessive wear.

• Before storing the product, wipe it thoroughly

with a lightly oiled cloth to prevent corrosion.

• Store the product in a clean and dry

environment, out of reach of children.

*One pair of inserts are pre-installed into the straightening

rod before shipment.

2. Operating Instructions

Important: The rst 200mm (8") of the brake pipe

must be straightened by hand.

1. Remove the screw caps from both ends of the

straightening rod.

2. Place an appropriate insert into one end of the

rod and screw the cap rmly into place.

3. Insert the pipe through the capped end of the

rod until it emerges from the open end.
