INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is intended for household use.

Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This

unit is designed to be operated at 120 volts AC.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade

is wider than the other). As a safety feature,

this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one

way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,

reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact

a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat

this safety feature.

NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance

on hair extensions.

INSTANT HEAT TECHNOLOGY

The iron’s 5 unique high temperature settings

and Instant Heat technology provide styling

versatility for all hair types. If you have fine hair,

a low temperature will provide the best results.

If you have thick, wavy, or hard-to-straighten

hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can vary

the iron’s temperature setting according to your

particular need.

Hydrofusion transforms all hair types and

You can choose to style with the steam function

switched on or off, and you can choose to refill

the straightener reservoir directly or use with

the base station for effortless gravity refill.

NOTE: When you first turn the straightener on,

the steam function will be off.

STYLING WITH THE NEW EASY-GLIDE,

FLOATING TITANIUM-COATED PLATES

Your new straightening iron has plates

designed with a little give to “float.” This

provides better contact with hair, eliminating

gaps, for straighter results. The easy-glide

titanium surface is one of the latest – and

best – technological advances in hair

appliances. The titanium, even-heat

distribution produces the ultimate in silky,

shiny, healthy-looking hair. You’ll find that

hair glides easily over the surface of the plates

as you’re straightening and that it is easier to

clean styling product residue off the plates after

each use. The titanium surface also helps

smooth down flyaways. As you smooth your

hair, heat is evenly distributed so that the style

you create has a salon-perfect, silky smooth,

shiny finish.

HOW TO FILL AND

USE STRAIGHTENER

To use the straightener without steam:

Simply press the button ( ) to turn your ON/OFF

straightener on.

To use the straightener with steam

and the base station gravity refill:

1. Before filling with water, be sure the black

rubber plug on the bottom of the base station is

tightly closed.

2. Lift the black rubber plug

on the top of the base station

water reservoir and fill

reservoir with distilled water.

NOTE: We recommend using

distilled water as this will

help protect the appliance

best and lessen the chance of clogging the

mechanism that allows the steam to flow.

The base station water reservoir holds 100 ml

of water and will provide around 60 minutes

of steam time with a full tank. Replace the

black rubber plug and ensure it’s tightly closed.

3. Place the base station onto a flat, level heat-

resistant surface and push down to secure the

suction feet onto the surface. This will prevent

the base station from moving around.

4. Ensure that the water

reservoir on the bottom of

the straightener is empty of

water and secured in place,

then place the straightener

onto the base station by

aligning the 2 pins and

pushing down until the straightener

clicks into place.

NOTE: there’s no need to close or lock the

plates – you can place the straightener onto

the base station with the plates in the open

position. However, if the straightener is

switched on, we recommend locking the plates

before placing the straightener onto the base

station to avoid the hot surfaces of the

straightener coming into contact with skin.

5. As soon as the straightener is correctly in

place, the water will automatically refill within

10-15 seconds. The straightener doesn’tNOTE:

need to be switched on to refill with water,

but, as mentioned above, if the if the

straightener is switched on, we recommend

locking the plates before placing the

straightener onto the base station.

6. Remove the straightener from the base

station and press the button (ON/OFF ) to turn

your straightener on. The default 285°F LED

indicator will illuminate and start to flash.

At this point, the straightener will start

heating up.

7. Press the Steam button ( ) once to switch

on the steam function. The steam LED indicator

will illuminate. When using the steam function

for the first time, the motor will run continuously

for 2 seconds after turning the unit on when the

plates are closed.

8. When using the steam function and the

plates are closed, the straightener will make a

clicking sound. This is completely normal and

part of standard operation, as the pump is

pushing the water through the inside

mechanism.

9. To refill the straightener water reservoir,

you can simply place the straightener onto

the base station between brushing and

sectioning your hair, being careful not to touch

the hot surfaces of the straightener. The refill

is effortless!

TIP: To avoid overfilling the straightener,

always ensure that the straightener water

reservoir is nearly or completely empty of

water before placing onto the base station

for refilling.

IMPORTANT: The base station should only

be used for refilling the straightener

water reservoir. Please do not rest the

straightener on the base station when

not in use.

10. Once you’ve finished styling your hair, be

sure to empty all of the water reservoirs:

a) base station water reservoir – empty water

from the top section of the base station by

lifting the black rubber plug on the top and

pouring the remaining water into a sink.

b) base station bottom tank – empty water

from the bottom section of the base station by

lifting the black rubber plug on the bottom and

pouring the remaining water into a sink.

c) straightener water reservoir – remove

the water reservoir from the bottom of the

straightener, lift the black rubber plug, and

pour remaining water into a sink.

To use the straightener with steam but

without the base station:

1. Remove the water

reservoir located at the

bottom of the straightener

by pushing the release

switch down with one

hand while removing the water reservoir with

the other hand.

2. Lift the black rubber plug and using the

pipette, fill with distilled water. NOTE: We

recommend using distilled water as this will

help protect the appliance best and lessen the

chance of clogging the mechanism that allows

the steam to flow. The straightener water

reservoir holds 10 ml of water and will provide

around 6 minutes of steam time with a full tank.

Replace the black rubber plug and put the

reservoir back on the straightener until it clicks

into place. Check that the reservoir is properly

positioned and secured in place.

3. Press the button (ON/OFF ) to turn your

straightener on. The default 285°F LED indicator

will illuminate and start to flash. At this point,

the straightener will start heating up.

4. Press the Steam button ( ) once to switch on

the steam function. The steam LED indicator

will illuminate.

5. If the plates are closed when using the steam

function, the straightener will make a clicking

sound. This is completely normal and part of

standard operation, as the pump is pushing the

water through the inside mechanism.

ALWAYS remove excess water from the base

station water reservoir…the base station

bottom tank…and the straightener water

reservoir after use, since leaving unused

water in the reservoirs can cause clogging

over time.

NOTE: NEVER add any other liquid aside from

distilled water to the water reservoirs.

CAUTION: This is a high-heat appliance.

Care must be taken to avoid the hot surfaces

of the appliance coming into contact with skin

(e.g., scalp, neck, ears, face, etc.), as the plates

can, particularly if held too close, cause

discomfort or even burn.

GETTING STARTED

1. Fill either the base station water reservoir

or the straightener water reservoir with

distilled water, following the instructions on

the previous pages.

2. Place the straightener onto a flat, level

heat-resistant surface.

3. Plug your straightener into a 120V AC

power outlet.

4. Press the button ( ) to turn yourON/OFF

straightener on. The default 285°F LED indicator

will illuminate and start to flash. At this point,

the straightener will start heating up.

5. Press the Temperature button (+/-) to adjust

to your desired temperature. The temperature

LED indicator will illuminate and start to flash.

Once the temperature you have selected has

been reached, it will then stop flashing on

the display.

6. If using the steam function, press the

Steam button ( ) once to switch on the

steam function. The steam LED indicator

will illuminate.

7. If the plates are closed when using the steam

function, the straightener will make a clicking

sound. This is completely normal and part of

standard operation, as the pump is pushing the

water through the inside mechanism.

WARNING: The flat iron's titanium plates

will get very hot within a few seconds and

should not come into contact with skin after

the flat iron has been turned on.

TO STYLE HAIR

Hair should be clean and completely dry before

using the flat iron. For best results, use a light

styling product before blow-drying hair.

1. Start with a hair section that is 1½ inches

wide and no more than ½ inch thick.

2. Open the iron and place the hair section

between the two hot plates close to the

scalp. Trap hair between the plates by firmly

squeezing the handles together.

3. While maintaining the tension, slowly pull

the unit down along the hair section toward the

ends. At the ends, release the pressure on the

handle and allow the hair to slide out.

4. Repeat the process on additional sections of

hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.

It may be necessary to repeat the process on

certain areas, depending on the texture of

your hair.

Some experience is necessary when learning

to use this flat iron. After using the iron several

times, you will learn the ideal way to straighten

and style your hair.

VOLUME

Create volume by making a curved movement

with your wrist as you glide the straightener

down the hair section.

EXPERT TIP

Set your style with a spritz of light-hold

hairspray for extra hold if needed.

REMOVABLE DETANGLING COMB

The flat iron includes a detangling comb that

helps to provide more uniform results and helps

to section and detangle as you style. The comb

is useful for helping to straighten hard-to-style,

coarse, and textured hair

types, as it creates more

tension as you straighten.

The comb is easily

removable – simply slide it

along the plate to the left to fully remove.

AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF

This straightener has an automatic shutoff

feature for added safety. If the straightener

is switched on for more than 30 minutes

continuously, it will automatically switch off.

If you wish to continue using the straightener

after this time, simply press the ON/OFF button

( ) again to turn the power on.

MAINTENANCE

Your appliance is virtually maintenance free.

No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and

openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning

becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from

the power source, allow it to cool, and wipe

exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition

occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and

return it for repair to an authorized service

representative only. No repairs should be

attempted by the consumer.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power-supply cord to be

pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap

the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage

will occur at the high flex point of entry into

the appliance, causing it to rupture and short

circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage.

Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if

unit stops or operates intermittently.

STORAGE

When not in use, your iron is easy to store.

Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out

of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do

not jerk or strain cord at plug connections.

Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance.

Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight

at the point of entry into the appliance.

TECNOLOGÍA DE HIDROFUSIÓN

Descubra el poder del vapor para conseguir un

cabello liso con un brillo intenso, y un peinado

duradero.

Con cada pasada, el vapor acondicionador

humecta el cabello e hidrata

la cutícula, para un acabado sedoso y de

aspecto saludable.

La hidrofusión transforma todo tipo de cabello,

cualquiera que sea su textura, y lo acondiciona

para evitar los daños.

Puede peinarse con o sin la función de vapor, y

puede llenar el depósito de agua manualmente,

o colocando la plancha en la base de llenado

automática para un llenado por gravedad sin

esfuerzo.

NOTA: Cuando encienda la plancha por primera

vez, la función de vapor estará desactivada

por defecto.

PLACAS FLOTANTES &

REVESTIMIENTO DE TITANIO

DE FÁCIL DESLIZAMIENTO

Su nueva plancha alisadora cuenta con placas

“flotantes” que aseguran un mejor contacto con

el cabello, produciendo resultados más lisos. La

superficie de titanio de fácil deslizamiento es

uno de los últimos y mejores avances

tecnológicos en aparatos de peluquería. El

titanio distribuye el calor uniformemente y deja

el cabello sedoso, brillante y con un aspecto

saludable. Notará que el cabello se desliza

fácilmente sobre el revestimiento y que los

residuos de productos de peinado son muy

fáciles de limpiar después de cada uso. La

superficie de titanio también ayuda a controlar

la estática.

Distribuye el calor uniformemente durante el

peinado. El resultado es un cabello liso, sedoso

y brillante. Además, las placas no retienen el

cabello después de alisarlo.

INSTRUCCIONES DE

LLENADO Y USO

Para usar la plancha sin vapor

Simplemente presione el botón de encendido/

apagado ( ) para encender el aparato.

Para usar la plancha con vapor

(llenando el depósito automáticamente

con la base de llenado por gravedad):

1. Antes de llenar el depósito de la plancha con

agua, compruebe que el tapón de caucho negro

debajo de la base de llenado está bien cerrado.

2. Abra el tapón de caucho

negro arriba de la base de

llenado y llene el depósito

con agua destilada

(recomendamos usar agua

destilada para evitar que el

sistema de vaporización de la

plancha se obstruya). El depósito de agua de

la base de llenado tiene capacidad para 100 ml

de agua, lo suficiente como para proporcionar

60 minutos de vapor. Vuelva a colocar el tapón

de caucho negro y compruebe que está

bien cerrado.

3. Coloque la base de llenado en una superficie

plana y nivelada resistente al calor. Presione

hacia abajo para sujetar las ventosas a la

superficie (esto evitará que la base de llenado

se mueva).

4. Compruebe que el

depósito de agua de la

plancha está vacío y

seguramente instalado.

Luego, coloque la plancha en

la base de llenado, alineando

las dos clavijas y empujando

hacia abajo hasta que la plancha encaje en

su sitio.

NOTA: No es necesario cerrar ni boquear las

placas; la plancha puede colocarse en la base

de llenado con las placas abiertas. Sin

embargo, si la plancha está encendida,

recomendamos bloquear las placas antes de

colocar la plancha en base de llenado para

evitar las quemaduras.

5. Ni bien coloque la plancha en la base de

llenado, el depósito de agua se llenará

automáticamente (esto debería tomar 10 a 15

segundos). Nota: No es necesario encender la

plancha para llenar el depósito, pero si está

encendida durante el llenado, recomendamos

bloquear las placas antes de colocar la plancha

en base de llenado para evitar las quemaduras.

6. Retire la plancha de la base de llenado y

presione el botón de encendido/apagado ( )

para encenderla; se encenderá a la temperatura

por defecto (285 °F) y el indicador luminoso

empezará a parpadear, lo que significa que la

plancha se está calentando.

7. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado

de vapor ( ) una vez para activar la función

de vapor; el indicador luminoso de la función

de vapor se encenderá. Nota: Cuando use la

función de vapor por primera vez, el motor

del sistema de vaporización funcionará

continuamente por 2 segundos al cerrar

las placas.

8. Al cerrar las placas (con la función de vapor

activada), la plancha emitirá un chasquido.

Esto es normal; ocurre cuando la bomba

está empujando el agua a través del

mecanismo interno.

9. Si necesita volver a llenar el depósito de

agua durante el peinado, simplemente vuelva a

colocar la plancha en la base de llenado,

teniendo cuidado de no tocar las superficies

calientes.

¡El sistema de llenado automático por gravedad

llenará el depósito sin esfuerzo!

CONSEJO: Para evitar sobrellenar el depósito

de agua de la plancha, siempre compruebe

que está casi o completamente vacío antes

de colocar la plancha en la base de llenado.

IMPORTANTE: La base de llenado solo debe

usarse para llenar el depósito de agua de la

plancha. No coloque la plancha en la base

de llenado cuando no esté en uso.

10. Después del peinado, cerciórese de vaciar

todos los depósitos de agua:

a) Depósito de la base de llenado – Abra el

tapón de caucho negro arriba de la base de

llenado y vacíe el agua restante en el fregadero.

b) Depósito de agua inferior de la base de

llenado – Abra el tapón de caucho negro abajo

de la base de llenado y vacíe el agua restante

en el fregadero.

c) Depósito de agua de la plancha – Retire el

depósito de la plancha, abra el tapón de caucho

negro y vacíe el agua restante en el fregadero.

Para usar la plancha con vapor

(llenando el depósito manualmente):

1. Retire el depósito de

agua de la plancha,

presionando el botón de

liberación del depósito con

una mano mientras retira

el depósito con la otra.

2. Abra el tapón de caucho negro y, usando la

probeta provista, llene el depósito con agua

destilada (recomendamos usar agua destilada

para evitar que se obstruya el sistema de

vaporización de la plancha). El depósito de agua

de la plancha tiene capacidad para 10 ml de

agua, lo suficiente como para proporcionar 6

minutos de vapor.

Cierre el tapón de caucho negro y vuelva a

sujetar el depósito a la plancha, comprobando

que está correctamente colocado.

3. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado ( )

para encender la plancha; se encenderá a la

temperatura por defecto (285 °F) y el indicador

luminoso empezará a parpadear, lo que

significa que la plancha se está calentando.

4. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado del

vapor ( ) una vez para activar la función de

vapor; el indicador luminoso de la función de

vapor se encenderá.

5. Al cerrar las placas (con la función de vapor

activada), la plancha emitirá un chasquido.

Esto es normal; ocurre cuando la bomba

está empujando el agua a través del

mecanismo interno.

SIEMPRE vacíe el agua restante en los tres

depósitos después de cada uso p2-ya que con

el tiempo, el agua estancada puede causar

problemas de obstrucción.

NOTA: NUNCA añada ningún otro líquido

que no sea agua destilada a los depósitos

de agua.

PRECAUCIÓN: Este aparato produce un calor

extremo. Se debe tener cuidado para evitar que

las superficies calientes del aparato entren en

contacto con la piel (p. ej., el cuero cabelludo,

el cuello, las orejas, la cara, etc.), p2-ya que las

placas pueden, sobre todo si están demasiado

cerca, causar molestias o incluso quemaduras.

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO

1. Llene el depósito de agua de la base de

llenado o de la plancha con agua destilada,

como se describió anteriormente.

2. Coloque la plancha sobre una superficie

plana y nivelada resistente al calor.

3. Enchufe la plancha en un enchufe de

120 V AC.

4. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado ( )

para encender la plancha; se encenderá a la

temperatura por defecto (285 °F) y el indicador

luminoso empezará a parpadear, lo que

significa que la plancha se está calentando.

5. Presione repetidamente el botón de

temperatura +/- para elegir la temperatura

deseada; la temperatura elegida aparecerá en

la pantalla LED, parpadeando. Cuando el

aparato alcance la temperatura elegida, dejará

de parpadear.

6. Presione el botón de encendido/apagado del

vapor ( ) una vez para activar la función de

vapor; el indicador luminoso de la función de

vapor se encenderá.

7. Al cerrar las placas (con la función de vapor

activada), la plancha emitirá un chasquido. Esto

es normal; ocurre cuando la bomba está

empujando el agua a través del mecanismo

interno.

ADVERTENCIA: Las placas se ponen muy

calientes en segundos; evite el contacto con

la piel después de encender el aparato.

FUNDAMENTOS DEL PEINADO

El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Para

obtener resultados óptimos, aplique una loción

fijadora ligera en el cabello antes de secarlo.

1.. Divida el cabello en secciones de 1½

(4cm) de ancho por un máximo de ½ in

(1.5cm) grueso.

2.. Coloque el aparato cerca del cuero cabellud

Abra las placas y coloque una sección de

cabello entre ellas. Cierre las placas, apretando

firmemente el mango.

3.. Manteniendo la tensión, baje lentamente

plancha hacia las puntas. Suelte el cabello al

llegar a las puntas.

4.. Repita el proceso en cada sección, has

conseguir el estilo deseado. Dependiendo de la

textura del cabello, puede que sea necesario

repetir el proceso varias veces en algunas

secciones.

Nota: Será necesario experimentar un poco al

principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera

perfecta para alisar y peinar su cabello fácil y

rápidamente.

VOLUMEN

Para dar volumen, gire la plancha con un

movimiento curvo de la muñeca mientras

desliza la plancha hacia las puntas.

CONSEJO DE EXPERTO

Para conseguir un peinado más duradero,

aplique un spray ligero después del peinado.

PEINE PARA DESENREDAR REMOVIBLE

Esta plancha incluye un peine para desenredar

que ayuda a desenredar el cabello mientras

los alisa, proporcionando resultados más

uniformes. El peine es útil para ayudar a alisar

el cabello resistente,

espeso/grueso o con

textura, p2-ya que ayuda a

crear más tensión durante

el alisado. El peine es

removible; simplemente deslícelo a lo largo

de la placa para quitarlo.

APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO

Para mayor seguridad, este aparato cuenta

con una función de apagado automático que

lo apagará automáticamente después de 30

minutos de encendido. Si quiere seguir usando

el aparato, simplemente presione el botón de

encendido/apagado ( ) para volver

a encenderlo.

INSTRUCCIONES

DE MANTENIMIENTO

Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento.

No requiere lubricación. Mantenga todos

los orificios de ventilación y aberturas libres

de polvos y pelusas. Cuando sea necesario

limpiarlo, desenchúfelo, permita que se enfríe

y limpie el exterior con un paño limpio. En caso

de mal funcionamiento, desenchufe el aparato,

permita que se enfríe y devuélvalo a un centro

de servicio autorizado; no intente repararlo.

PRECAUCIÓN

NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.

Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor del

aparato; esto puede dañar la junta flexible

que lo conecta al aparato, produciendo su

rotura o un cortocircuito. Revise el cable con

frecuencia para comprobar que no está dañado.

Interrumpa el uso inmediatamente si el cable

está visiblemente dañado o si el producto

deja de funcionar, o funciona de manera

intermitente.

ALMACENAMIENTO

Cuando no esté en uso, este aparato es fácil de

almacenar. Permita que se enfríe y guárdelo en

un lugar seco y seguro, fuera del alcance de los

niños. No tironee ni retuerza el cable al nivel

del enchufe. No enrolle el cable alrededor del

aparato. Permita que el cable cuelgue, o que la

junta que lo conecta al aparato esté suelta

y recta.
