Safety
• This appliance is only intended for normal household use.
• Only operate theappliance using thesupplied base.
• Do not use theappliance if it has been damaged. Turntheappliance off immediately
and unplug it at thefirst sign of and damage, such as unusual noises or smells.
• Never use theappliance if it has been damaged in anyway.
• Do not lay themains lead over hot surfaces, sharp edges or let it come into
contact with thehot sides of thepercolator.
• Always hold theplug when unplugging theappliance from thewall socket, not
thelead.
• Only connect themains lead to a230 V wall socket.
• Place theappliance on astable, flat and heatproof surface. Donot place
theappliance close to theedge of atable or onto asurface such as anelectric hob.
• The appliance should only be used and kept indoors.
• Do not touch themetallic surfaces of thepercolator during or straight after brewing
as they will behot.
• This appliance must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisappliance should not be used by anyone that
has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Never tamper with or modify theappliance in anyway.
• Do not insert objects into theopenings of theappliance.
Operation
Before initial use
1. Wash and rinse thepercolator, coffee basket, lid and tube in warm water.
Letthepartsdry.
2. Boil some water in thepercolator with thetube and coffee basket in place until
theindicator light comeson.
3. Switch thepercolator off and unplug it from thewall socket. Emptythewater out.
Letthepercolator cool down before brewing any coffee.
Note: Neverimmerse thepercolator, base or power lead inwater.
