IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

appliance.

•When blending in a saucepan, remove the pan from heat and allow the
contents to cool slightly before blending.
•Do not allow liquid to rise above the joint between the handleand the
detachable blendingshaft.
•Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance
malfunctions, or after the appliance has been damaged in any manner.
•Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces or hang where a child can pull it.
•Do not operate the appliance by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
•Do not use unauthorized attachments.
•Misuse of the appliance may cause injury.
•Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

POWER CORD SAFETY
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is
used, the marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord must be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the appliance.
The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug, meaning one blade is wider than the other. To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only
one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
INTENDED USE
This appliance is intended for household use only. It is designed for blending soft foods
and liquids using the detachable blending shaft. It may be used for preparing sauces,
soups, purees, and similar foods.
This appliance is not intended for commercial or industrial use, outdoor use, blending
hot oil or hot fat, processing non-food materials, or use with unauthorized attachments.
Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
