Introduction:
This blood pressure monitor complies with the Eu-
ropean requirements that are the basis of the Me-
dical Products Law (CE), as well as the European
Standard „Europanorm” EN 1060, Part 1 „Non-
I nvasive blood pressure monitoring devices –
General requirements” and part 2 „Additional
requirements for mechanical blood pressure moni-
toring devices“.
Regular calibration is to be carried out in accor-
dance with the regulations existing in your country.
Important:
Keep this unit from being knocked or dropped, and
protect it from dirt and moisture. Care has to be
taken not to puncture the cuff with any sharp
instruments (Scissors, needles).
Do not inflate to above 300 mmHg !
M easurement time should not exceed 2 minutes.
B etween 2 measurements allow an interval of at
least 2 minutes.
Placing the Cuff:
Ensure the lower cuff edge finishes approx. 2 – 3
cm above the elbow, the membrane inside the cuff
must be placed on the main artery.
Taking the Blood Pressure:
Inflate the cuff to above the systolic pressure. The
air release speed can be adjusted by rotating the
valve screw.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recom-
mends a deflation speed of 2 – 3 mmHg per
second.
After the measurement is completed, fully open the
ai release valve to allow for the fast deflation of
the cuff.

Storing conditions:
–30°C – 70°C, 15 – 85% rel. humidity
Operating conditions:
10°C – 40°C, 15 – 85% rel. humidity
Cleaning of Unit and Cuff:
– To clean the unit only use a dry, soft cloth.
– To clean the cuff – remove the rubber bag. The
exterior of the cuff can then be washed by hand
at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees
Celsius.
Disinfection:
For disinfectant wipes (at least 5 minutes exposure
time) of the device and the cuff, we recommend the
disinfectant liquid Microzid Liquid Sensitiv (SchĂĽlke
& Mayr).
To disinfect the velcro of the cuff, we recommend
spray disinfection.

Wall Model:
Use the enclosed template to bring the screws into
the correct distance (if necessary use dowels) into
the wall. Hang the device into the screws. Additio-
nal accessories: Spiral tube, template, 2 screws (4
x 35 mm), 2 dowels (6 x 30 mm).

Bed Rail Model:
The unit can be fixed to the rail clip for standard rail
systems used in hospitals. This is done by turning
the nut clockwise. The cuff can be stored in the
space provided on the holder.

Set up stand following the accompanying instruc-
tions. Fasten the device onto the stand.

IntroducciĂłn:
Este aparato para la toma de la tensiĂłn arterial, se
ajusta a las normas europeas que son la base de
la Ley de Productos MĂ©dicos (CE), asĂ como a la
Norma Europea Standar „Europanorm” EN 1060,
p rimera parte: „Aparatos monitorizados de toma
de la tensiĂłn sanguĂnea no invasivos – Requisitos
generales”, y parte segunda: „Requisitos adiciona-
les para aparatos mecánicos monitorizados para
la toma de la tensiĂłn sanguĂnea”.
Deben efectuarse comprobaciones periĂłdicas de
la precisiĂłn de los datos que proporciona el apa-
rato, siguiendo las normas que regulen ese pro-
ceso en cada paĂs en particular.
Importante:
Evite golpear a dejar caer el aparato, y manténgalo
alejado del polvo y la humedad. Procure no perfo-
rar el manguito con ningĂşn instrumento punzante,
tales como tijeras o agujas.
No lo llene por encima de 300 mmHg !
El tiempo de la toma no debe exceder de dos
minutos.
D ejará pasar siempre un intervalo de 2 minutos
entre dos tomas consecutivas de la tensiĂłn.
ColocaciĂłn del manguito:
SitĂşe el manguito de modo que el borde inferior del
mismo quede 2 o 3 cm por encima del codo, y el
centro de la cámara descanse sobre la arteria.
Toma de la tensiĂłn:
Llene el manguito por encima de la presiĂłn sistĂł-
lica. La velocidad de salida del aire se ajustará gi-
rando la rosca de la válvula.
La OrganizaciĂłn Mundial de la Salud (OMS) reco-
mienda una velocidad de liberaciĂłn del aire de
2 – 3 mmHg por segundo. Despues de finalizada la
toma, abra totalmente la válvula de salida de aire,
para un vaciado rápido del manguito.

tensión recomienda los siguitentes tamaños de
manguitos:
