INTRODUCTION
70-8215AMP is designed to keep the factory radio in the vehicle so the
climate control functions are still displayed through the factory display panel.
This harness must be used along with the TYTO-01 (sold separately).

CAUTION!
Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning any instal
-
lation, unless the vehicle manufacturer recommends against so. Please check with your local Dealership
for more information. All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and especially air bag indicator
lights must be connected before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition. Also, do not remove the
factory radio with the key in the on position, or the vehicle running. It would be best to remove the key
from the ignition and then wait a few seconds before removing the factory radio.
1. Find a suitable location to retain the factory radio at. Metra recommends securing and
covering the radio behind a panel in the trunk.
2. Connect the (2) 20-pin male radio connectors from the 70-8215AMP harness into the
factory radio, and then route the harness from that location to the radio cavity.
3. Connect the 20-pin harness with RCA jacks to the 20-pin factory harness located in the
radio cavity.
Note: There are (2) 20-pin harnesses there, only the proper one will fit.
4. If the AUX-IN jack in the dash is desired to be used, connect the and RCA Red White
jacks to the audio AUX-IN jacks of the aftermarket radio.

The 12-pin connector is a pre-wired harness for the ASWC-1 (sold separately) to retain
steering wheel controls. If the ASWC-1 is not being used, disregard this harness. If it will
be used, please refer to the ASWC-1 instructions for radio connections and programming

.Note: Disregard the harness that comes with the ASWC-1
6. Complete the installation as listed in the installation kit and wiring instructions.
1. Encuentre un lugar adecuado donde retener el radio de fábrica. Metra recomienda que
se sujete y cubra el radio detrás de un panel en la cajuela.
2. Conecte los (2) conectores de radio machos de 20 pins del arnés 70-8215AMP en el
radio de fábrica, luego enrute el arnés desde ese lugar a la cavidad de la radio.
3. Conecte el conector de 20 pins con los conectores RCA al arnés de fábrica de 20 pins
localizado en la cavidad del radio.
Nota: Hay (2) arneses de 20 pins ahí, únicamente el correcto queda.
4. Si se desea utilizar el conector AUX-IN en el tablero, conecte los conectores RCA rojo y
blanco a los conectores a los conectores AUX-IN del radio de mercado secundario.

El conector de 12 pins es un arnés precableado para el ASWC-1 (se vende por separado) para
retener los controles en el volante. Si no se usará el ASWC-1, ignore este arnés. Si se va a
utilizar, consulte las instrucciones de ASWC-1 para las conexiones del radio y la programación
.
Nota: Ignore el arnés que viene con el ASWC-1.
6.
Finalice la instalación como se indica en el kit de instalación y en las instrucciones de cableado
.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Meta recomienda desconectar la terminal negativa de la batería antes de iniciar
cualquier instalación, a menos que el fabricante del vehículo recomiende lo contrario. Verifique con su
concesionario local si existe más información. Todos los accesorios, interruptores, paneles de controles
de clima y especialmente las luces del indicador de las bolsas de aire deben estar conectados antes de
reconectar la batería o ciclar la ignición. Además, no quite el radio de fábrica con la llave en la posición
de encendido ni con el vehículo funcionando. Sería mejor retirar la llave de la ignición y esperar unos
cuantos segundos antes de quitar el radio de fábrica.
