Weather Resistant 2-Way Outdoor Loudspeaker System
The ROCKFA62T-BR outdoor loudspeaker is engineered to provide years of trouble free operation and enjoyment. Please read the following installation
instructions BEFORE connecting to your audio system.
Atlas Sound’s ROCKFA62T-BR brings Strategy series sound quality to the great outdoors by packaging the proven performance of model
FA136 driver in a specially designed, natural looking, simulated stone enclosure. An internal 32 watt 70.7V/100V transformer is terminated to
a 24" direct burial rated pigtail that includes conductors for all transformer taps as well as a direct connection for 8 operation. The side firing 1
transducer allows the installer to aim sound at targeted listening areas. 30' spacing between loudspeakers will give good uniform coverage for
most applications. For higher noise environments or where stereo imaging is desired closer spacing and/or additional devices may be required.

Wiring Instructions
The ROCKFA62T-BR allows for both direct coupled (8 ) operation and 70.7V, depending on which wires are selected for speaker line termination.1

Connect the BLACK wire on the ROCKFA62T-BR to the negative or common on your amplifier, and the RED to the positive. If your amplifier will
support speaker loads down to 4 , you can connect two (2) ROCKFA62T-BR’s in parallel, per channel. Consult the owners manual of your amplifier to 1
verify this.
Use 2 conductor stranded wire of sufficient capacity to avoid voltage drops due to long lengths.

70.7V Wiring
Connect the BLACK wire on the ROCKFA62T-BR to the negative or common on your commercial amplifier. Choose the appropriate color for the 70.7V
tap per the instructions below.
Use 2 conductor stranded wire of sufficient capacity to avoid voltage drops due to long lengths.
YELLOW – 32 watt
GREEN – 16 watt
BLUE – 8 watt
ORANGE – 4 watt
While the ROCKFA62T-BR is weather resistant, care should be taken during installation to avoid placing this loudspeaker near lawn sprinklers, or
locations that could flood the loudspeaker enclosure.

Application
Use the Atlas Sound ROCKFA62T-BR Strategy SeriesÂź loudspeaker sys-
tem for commercial, professional and residential applications where high-
fidelity sound and weather-resistance is desired. Full-range frequency
response makes these systems ideal for outdoor installation, in monaural
and stereo foreground or background music systems, and for applications
in which a ground speaker system is desired.
General Description
Atlas Sound’s ROCKFA62T-BR brings Strategy Series¼ sound qual-
ity to the great outdoors by packaging the proven performance of the
Strategy SeriesÂź FA136 driver in a specially designed, natural looking
brown enclosure designed to mimic the look of brown granite. Atlas
Sound’s weather-resistant ROCKFA62T-BR loudspeaker systems offer
accurate sound reproduction and nature inspired aesthetics’ in a compact
simulated, rock enclosure.
System components consist of a highly efficient 6" woofer section and 1⁄ " 2
PEI (Polyetherimide) dome high frequency tweeter. An internal 32 watt
70.7V / 100V transformer is terminated to a 24" direct burial rated pigtail
that includes conductors for all transformer taps including a 1:1 connec-
tion for 8 operation. In an effort to enhance vocal and musical clarity Ω
in multi-speaker outdoor systems, the ROCKFA62T-BR is optimized to
complement the FAP62T (for under eave mounting) and the SM52T for
on the wall deployment in outdoor high quality sound systems.
To withstand the harshest environments, the new Strategy SeriesÂź
ROCKFA62T-BR ground level deployed loudspeakers are constructed
of weather-resistant materials. Woofers feature treated Kevlar
Âź cone
and synthetic rubber surrounds and the tweeter is constructed of PEI
(Polyetherimide).
The speaker systems include an embedded underground eyebolt for a
security anchor to prevent theft.
Architect & Engineer SpeciïŹcations
The outdoor rock loudspeaker system shall be Atlas Sound
ROCKFA62T-BR or approved equal. The simulated stone assembly shall
consist of a 2-way FA136 style, coaxial woofer and tweeter, within an
weather-resistant housing constructed of paintable UV-resistant, styrene,
fiber reinforced molded plastic finished in a granite brown finish to mimic
the look of natural stone. The unit shall be secured to its location at
ground level through an embedded I-bolt security ring.
The 50 Watt RMS (32 Watt transformer ) system shall have a 6" woofer,
constructed of polypropylene impregnated Kevlarℱ with Norsorexℱ syn-
thetic rubber surround , and a œ" coaxially mounted PEI (Polyetherimide)
tweeter. The dividing network crossover frequency shall be 5kHz. Each
unit shall include an internally mounted 32 watt 70.7V / 100V line match-
ing transformer for use in distributed sound applications and have a 24
inch multi conductor wire extension for selecting wattage taps and for 8Ω
applications. Wattage taps shall be 2, 4, 8, 16, & 32 @ 70.7V plus 1:1 tap
for 8 operation. The loudspeaker system shall meet the following per-Ω
formance criteria: Power handling, 50 Watts RMS (32 Watt Transformer);
Frequency response, ±5dB from 80Hz – 20kHz; Pressure sensitivity,
88dB SPL at one watt. The unit shall be 10

(318mm) in width and 9" (229mm) in depth. Weight Shall be 13.15lbs
(5.96kg).
