Talking to Echo Dot

To get the att enti on of your Echo Dot, simply say "Ale xa."

Alexa App

The app helps you get more out o f your Echo Dot. It ’s where

you manage your lists, new s, music, set tings, and see an

ove rv iew of your requests.

2. Download the Alexa App

Dow nload the free Am azon Alexa app to your phone or tablet .

Start the download process in your mobile browser at:

If the set up process does not automatically start, go to Se tti ngs >

Se t up a new device. During setup, you will connect Echo Dot t o

the Internet , so you will need your Wi-Fi password.

1. Plug in Echo Dot

Plu g the micro-US B cable and 9W adapter into Echo Dot and then

into a power outle t. You mu st use the it ems included in the original

Echo Dot package for optimal perform ance. A blue light ring will

begin to spin around the top. In about a minute, the l ight ring will

change to orange and Alexa will gre et you .

3. Connect to your speaker

You can connect your Echo Dot to a speaker using Bluet ooth or

an AUX cable.

If you are using Bluetooth, place your speaker more th an 3 feet

from Echo Dot for optimal perfor mance.
