EKI-2710E-2CI Startup Manual 1
The EKI-2710E-2CI industrial Ethernet switch provides 8 x
10/100M + 2GE Combo ports, oering versatile connectivity
for diverse applications. Users can conveniently enable or
disable Quality of Service (QoS), broadcast storm protec-
tion, and VLAN settings using DIP switches. Equipped with
12~48 VDC redundant power inputs and DIN-rail mounting,
these switches are designed for reliable performance in
industrial environments. With EMC Level 4 protection, it
resists electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable opera-
tion in harsh conditions.
Before installation, please make sure that you have re-
ceived the following:
• 1 x EKI-2710E-2CI Ethernet switch
• 1 x DlN-rail mounting bracket with 4 screws (M3 x 5L)
• 2 x Wall mounting brackets with 4 screws (M3 x 5L)
• 1 x EKI-2710E-2CI startup manual

VLAN
Mode 1
VM1
Switch the DIP to the ‘left’ posi-
tion to activate VLAN Mode 1,
Port Isolated Mode.
All ports are isolated from each
other, with only Uplink Ports 9
& 10 interconnected with other
ports.
VLAN

Switch the DIP to the ‘right’ posi-
tion to activate VLAN Mode 2,
2-Grouping Mode.
This divides all ports into two
separate groups, ensuring no
interconnection between them.
Group 1 comprises Ports 1-4
with uplink port 9, while Group 2
comprises Ports 5-8, with uplink
port 10.
The EKI-2710E-2CI switch supports dual +12~48 V
DC
power inputs. For operation, connecting either power V1
or V2 to the switch is sucient. If both sets are connected,
it enhances redundancy. In the event of a power resource
failure in one set, it will automatically switch to the other set
of power resources.
1. Insert the positive and negative wires into the V+ and
V- contacts on the terminal block connector
2. Tighten the wire-clamps screws to prevent the DC wires
coming loose.
Warning: This product is intended to be supplied by an UL
certied power supply or DC source suitable for
use at minimum Tma 75°C whose output meets
SELV or ES1 and is rated 12-48 Vdc, 0.6A min.,
if need further assistance, please contact Advan-
tech for further information.
Warning: Ensure that the voltage of the power source is
correct before connecting the equipment to a
power outlet. By means of a power cord con-
nected to a socket-outlet with earthing connec-
tion.
Warning: Never open the equipment. For safety reasons,
the equipment should be opened only by quali-
ed skilled person.
Warning: Laser Class 1 optical transceiver shall be used
only.

1. Secure the wall brackets to the device with M3 screws,
see the following gure.
Wall mounting screws (4 pcs, M3 x 5L): Diameter 2.9
mm, Length 5 mm.
2. Align the wall mount plate over the screw on the wall.
3. To mount the wall plate to the wall, please use screws
of the size indicated in the illustration below (users must
provide their own screws).
