WARNING
The cooker is an appliance which, by its nature, gets very hot. This applies particu-
larly to the glass door.
It is a good rule, therefore, to insist that children keep away from the oven when it is
working.
When the oven is ļ¬rst used it may give oļ¬€ an acrid smell caused by the ļ¬rst heating
of the adhesives used on the insulating panels. This is completely normal, and if it
occurs, simply wait for the smoke to disperse before putting food in the oven.
To protect it from damage in transit, the appliance is covered in ļ¬ne transparent ļ¬lm.
This must be removed before the cooker is used.
Declaration of compliance: This equipment, in the parts intended to come into
contact with food, complies with the regulations laid down in EEC directives 89/109.
This appliance complies with directives 89/336/EEC, 90/396/EEC, 73/23/EEC
and the following changes.

appliance, follow the instructions below:

information regarding the safe installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.

ā€” When you have removed the packaging, check that the appliance is intact.
ā€” If in doubt, do not use the appliance and call a suitably qualiļ¬ed engineer.

The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, nails etc) are potential source of
danger to children and so should be kept out of their reach

ā€” This appliance sould only be used for the purposes for which it was designed, i.e.
domestic cooking. Any other use is improper and therefore dangerous.

Instructions for use
Igniting the burners
Hold the ļ¬‚ame near the burner and press in and turn the corresponding knob in an
anticlockwise direction. If the burners have not been used for a few days, wait a few
seconds for the air to escape before the gas ignites.
Some models are ļ¬tted with automatic ignition, in which case, matches or lighters are
not necessary. For automatic ignition, just turn the knob and press the ignition button
(Fig. 4). For applianced equipped with electronic ignition, simply press down and turn
the control knob to the position marked with a star ā˜….
After the burner ignites, turn the knob to the control setting required.
Some models are ļ¬tted with valves which automatically cut oļ¬€ the supply of gas to
the burner if the ļ¬‚ame is accidentally extinguished. The following instructions apply to
the ignition of these burners, whether they are on the hob, in the oven or in the grill:
ā€” turn the knob to Max
ā€” activate the ignition of the gas
ā€” hold the knob in that position for 5 or 6 seconds.
The time lapse allows the safety device to function, and the ļ¬‚ame will remain ignited.
NB: After cleaning the hob, make sure that the ļ¬‚ame spreader and burner are
correctly positioned. It is most important that the flame spreaders are positioned
in the special slots so as to avoid damage to the burners.
