The hot pot cooker should be descaled regularly, at least once a month, or more frequently if
the water quality is poor.
If you use tap water, the inner pot will develop spots of limescale, which is normal. Use a
scouring pad to gently remove the limescale from the inner pot. You can use the following
methods to remove severe limescale.
1. Using white vinegar: Pour an appropriate amount of white vinegar into the hot pot cooker,
let it stand for 1 hour without heating, pour out the white vinegar, and clean the hot pot
cooker with clean water for 5 to 6 times. If the limescale remains, repeat the preceding steps.
2. Using citric acid: Pour an appropriate amount of water into the hot pot cooker, boil it and
turn off the heat. Add 25 g of citric acid and let it stand for 15 minutes, then rinse with clean
water 5 to 6 times. If the limescale remains, repeat the preceding steps.
