HATT AES

The Whirlwind HATT-AES is an active

headphone amplifier that converts a

digital AES3 stream into a high fidelity, low

distortion stereo headphone signal

optimized for modern 32 Ohm

headphones. Sample rates from 32 kHz to

192 KHz are recognized by the HATT-AES

D/A converters. Features include an

analog 3.5mm TRS stereo input jack,

analog signal present LEDs, and a

buffered AES loop-thru output. The

headphone output can also be used as an

unbalanced stereo line driver.

The HATT-AES is powered by an included

model #PS6 “wall wart” supply. Both ¼”

TRS and 3.5mm TRS headphone jacks

are provided and the volume control

adjusts the listening level. The HATT-AES

is housed in an attractive, durable ABS

box for placement anywhere a high quality

headphone driver is required.
