PREPARATION
1. Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove existing fixture, including the crossbar.
2. Carefully unpa your new xture and layck fi
out all the parts on a clear ar Be careful not to lose any all parts necessarea. sm y
for installation.
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (Fig. 1)
3. Remove the mounting screw (B) and gasket (C) from the mounting back plate.
4. Secure the mounting back plate to the junction box using the screws provided with the junction box.
NOTE: The side of the mounting back plate marked "GND" must face out.
CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 2)
5. Connect wires the box fixture's wires to junction as . Make sure shown (Fig. 2) that all wire connectors (A) are secure.
If your box outlet has a bare connect ground green or copper ground wire, the fixture’s wire it. Otherwise, to connect
the us fixture’s back ground wire directly to the plate ing the green screw provided. After wires are connected, tuck
them inside box. carefully the junction
COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION (Fig. 1)
6. Secure the fixture to the mounting ba plack te using the mounting screw (B) and gasket (C).
7. To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box and causing a short, use clear caulking (i.e. indoor/outdoor
silicone sealant) to outline the outside of xture back plate where it meets the wall. Leave a space at the bottom to
allow moisture to escape .(Fig.3)
