Normale funzionamento
Nota: In riscaldamento (inverno), il Thalos se spento, regola secondo la temperatura
di antigelo Toff, al fine di prevenire congelamenti dell’impianto.
Toff può assumere valori da 1 a 50 °C oppure essere esclusa; in questo caso non è
garantita alcuna temperatura minima.
Si verifica nel caso di guasto alla sonda.
In questo caso la regolazione viene inibita e i contatti del relè
rimangono in posizione NC-COM.
Si verifica per i seguenti valori di temperatura misurata:
t < 0°C
t >50°C

Mod. THALOS
Serie di termostati elettronici da parete con touch screen adatti alla regolazione
della temperatura sia in riscaldamento che in condizionamento, che svolgono
azioni di tipo 1B e destinati ad operare in ambienti con grado di inquinamento 2
e categoria di sovratensione III (EN 60730-1). Sono disponibili due varianti:
• Thalos con alimentazione a batterie e ingresso ausiliario configurabile per
il collegamento di una sonda di temperatura o di un contatto esterno con il
quale ridurre il setpoint di 3 °C.
• Thalos 230 con alimentazione da rete elettrica, dispongono di un display
retroilluminato multicolore rosso-verde-blu il quale varia la tonalità in base allo
scostamento tra la temperatura misurata e quella impostata come setpoint.

AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA
Durante l’installazione ed il funzionamento del prodotto è necessario rispettare
le seguenti indicazioni:
1) Il dispositivo deve essere installato da persona qualificata rispettando
scrupolosamente gli schemi di collegamento.
2) Non alimentare o collegare il dispositivo se qualche parte di esso risulta
danneggiata.
3) Dopo l’installazione deve essere garantita la inacessibilità ai morsetti di
collegamento senza l’uso di appositi utensili.
4) Il dispositivo deve essere installato e messo in funzione in conformità con la
normativa vigente in materia di impianti elettrici.
5) Prima di accedere ai morsetti di collegamento verificare che i conduttori non
siano in tensione.
6) Nell’impianto elettrico a monte del dispositivo deve essere installato un
dispositivo di protezione contro le sovracorrenti (solo per modelli Thalos 230).

Durante il normale funzionamento il termostato visualizza il valore della temperatura rilevata e l’eventuale intervento del relè è segnalato dal simbolo
(modalità

Password per blocco tastiera - PAS
Impostare un valore tra 001 e 999 per attivare il blocco tastiera.
Impostare “---” per disattivare il blocco.
Se il blocco tastiera è attivo, premendo un tasto compare LoC e
viene richiesta la password. Se è inserita correttamente la tastiera è
sbloccata per i successivi 30 secondi.
• I termostati della serie Thalos sono progettati per l’installazione da parete. In alternativa possono essere installati a copertura della scatola 503.
• Installare il termostato ad un’altezza di circa 1,5 m dal pavimento, al riparo dall’irraggiamento diretto, lontano da porte, finestre, fonti di calore, posizioni con eccesso o totale
mancanza di aerazione.
Collegare i cavi alla morsettiera posta
sul retro della base, come mostrato nel
riquadro “schemi di collegamento”.
Fissare la base a muro utilizzando le
viti in dotazione.
Solo per modelli alimentati a batterie: inserire
le batterie nel relativo vano posto sul retro del
termostato, rispettando la polarità riportata.
Agganciare il termostato alla base,
accoppiando dapprima i dentini posti
sul lato superiore.

Per accedere al menù Programmazione avanzata tenere premuti contemporaneamente i tasti e finchè compare PR.
Vengono proposti in successione le voci del menù. Per ognuna viene visualizzata la sigla identificativa seguita dal lampeggio del relativo valore. Usare i tasti
e
per modificare il valore. Il passaggio al parametro successivo avviene trascorsi 3 secondi senza la pressione di alcun tasto. Una volta impostati tutti i parametri
viene visualizzata la scritta END e il termostato torna al normale funzionamento salvando le modifiche apportate. È possibile uscire dal menù in qualsiasi momento
premendo contemporaneamente i tasti
e
.
• Modelli a batterie
Nei modelli con alimentazione a batterie la retroilluminazione è normalmen-
te spenta e si accende (di colore blu) qualora si entri nei menù: modifica
setpoint, programmazione avanzata, inserimento pin.
• Modelli a 230V
Nei modelli con alimentazione a 230Vac la retroilluminazione è normalmente
accesa e sarà:
– blu se la temperatura misurata è inferiore al setpoint di almeno
0,5 °C oppure se ci si trova all’interno dei menù modifica setpoint,
programmazione avanzata o inserimento pin.
– verde se la differenza tra la temperatura misurata e setpoint è minore di
0,5 °C o se il termostato è in funzionamento spento
– rosso se la temperatura misurata è superiore al setpoint di almeno 0,5 °C.
Spegnimento retroilluminazione
Qualora l’installazione lo renda opportuno (ad esempio in camere da letto) è
possibile spegnere la retroilluminazione. In questa condizione il termostato
continua a funzionare normalmente e la retroilluminazione si accende quando si
entra nei menù modifica setpoint, programmazione avanzata, inserimento pin.
(solo per modelli a batterie)
I modelli con alimentazione a batterie dispongono di un ingresso
ausiliario configurabile per il collegamento in alternativa di:
•
un contatto esterno per la riduzione del setpoint. Con contatto
esterno chiuso, il setpoint viene ridotto di 3 °C
•
una sonda di temperatura esterna X.Temp. In questo caso il
valore di temperatura visualizzato sul display (e utilizzato per la
regolazione) è quello misurato dalla sonda esterna

The models with battery supply have an auxiliary input
configurable for the connection as an alternative to:
•
an external contact for the setpoint reduction.
With the external closed contact, the setpoint is reduced by 3 °C
•
an external temperature probe X.Temp.
In this case the value of the temperature showed on the display
(and used for the regulation) is the one measured by the external
probe
For the auxiliary input regulation, see “Advanced programming”.
Advanced programming
To enter menu Advanced programming keep simultaneously pressed the keys and until PR will appear.
The items of the menu are displayed in succession. For each item is displayed an identity breviation and its relative blinking value. Use the keys
and to modify
the blinking value. After 3 seconds without touching the keys there is the passage to the following parameter. The writing END will appear when all parameters are
set and the thermostat returns successively in standard mode saving the effected modifications. You can exit the menu at any time by pressing simultaneously the
keys
and .

Normal operation
Note: in heating mode (winter), if the Thalos is off, it regulates the antifreeze Toff
temperature in order to prevent freezing of the system.
Toff can have values from 1 to 50 °C or be excluded; in this case any minimum
temperature is guaranteed.
Replace the batteries as soon as
possible! Dispose of the batteries in
the appropriate recycling containers.

Mod. THALOS
Series of wall mounting touch screen electronic thermostat for temperature
control both in heating and cooling.
They perform actions of type 1B and are intended for operating in environments
Pollution Degree 2 and Overvoltage Category III (EN60730-1).
• Thalos battery powered and auxiliary input configurable for the connection of
a temperature probe or of an external contact to reduce the setpoint of 3°C.
• Thalos 230 AC-powered models have a multicolour backlit display: red, green
and blue. The colour changes according to the gap between the measured
temperature and the programmed setpoint.

SAFETY WARNINGS
During product installation and operation it is necessary to observe the
following instructions:
1) The device must be installed by a qualified person, in strict compliance with the
connection diagrams.
2) Do not power or connect the device if any part of it is damaged.
3) After installation, inaccessibility to the connection terminals without appropriate
tools must be guaranteed.
4) The device must be installed and activated in compliance with current electric
systems standards.
5) Before accessing the connection terminals, verify that the leads are not live.
6) In the electrical system of the building where the device must be installed,
a switch and a protection device from the overcurrents must be present (for
Thalos 230 models only).

During the standard operation the thermostat displays the detected temperature value and the relay status is identified by the symbol (heating mode) or (cooling mode).

Password for keypad lock - PAS
Set a value between 001 and 999 to activate the keypad lock. Set
“---” to disable the lock.
If the keypad lock is active, pressing one key LoC appears and the
password is required. If it’s properly inserted the keyboard
is unlocked for the next 30 seconds.
• Thalos series thermostats are designed for wall mounting installation. Alternatively, they can be installed to cover the three-module in built box.
• Install the thermostat at a height of about 1.5 m above the floor, away from direct sunlight, away from doors, windows, heat sources, locations with excess or total lack of
ventilation.
Connect the wires to the terminal block
on back of the base, as shown in the
“wiring diagrams”.
Fix the base on the wall using the
screws supplied.
For battery power supply model only: insert the
batteries into the battery compartment on the back
of the thermostat, respecting the indicated polarity.
Attach the thermostat to the base,
at first mating teeth on the higher
side.

• Battery models
In the battery power supply models the display backlighting is normally OFF
and it is enabled (blue color) entering menu: setpoint modification, advanced
programming, pin enter.
• Models 230V
In the 230V~ power supply models the display backlighting is normally ON
and it will be:
– blue if the measured temperature is lower than the setpoint at least of
0.5 °C or if you are in the menu setpoint modification, advanced
programming or pin enter
– green if the gap between the measured temperature and the setpoint is
lower than 0.5 °C or if the thermostat is in off mode
– red if the measured temperature is higher than the setpoint at least of 0.5 °C.
Backlighting switching OFF
If not desired the backlighting function can be disabled (for example in
bedrooms). Then the thermostat continues its standard operation and the
backlighting is enabled entering menu: setpoint modification, advanced
programming, pin enter.
