1 Overview
1.1 Features

1.2 General Description
The primary purpose of this board is to demonstrate a low cost self-powered USB HUB with the SMSC
USB2504 4-port HUB. A single poly-switch provides over current protection. Two P-MOS FETs
switches down stream port power. The PCB layout has provisions for optional EMI protection and
optional ESD protection. All components are placed on the top. Figure 1 shows the top-level silkscreen.
