• Assemble unit in accordance with the

manufacturer's drawing.

• Install in close proximity to hazard and in a location

clearly identified and without obstructions.

• Place shower head 82-96" from the surface at which

the user stands.

• Position center of spray pattern at least 16" from any

obstruction.

• Arrange spray heads 33-45" from the surface at

which the user stands and a minimum of 6" from any

obstruction.

• Connect unit with a recommended minimum 1¼"

NPT line to a tepid, potable water source capable of

supplying 30-80 psi flowing pressure for a minimum

of 15 minutes.

• If shut valves are installed, inline provisions should

be made to prevent unauthorized shutoff.

• Protect unit from freezing.

• Check for any leaking while all valves are in the

closed position.

• Keep valves in the open position upon activation.

• With the shower valve in the fully opened position,

spray pattern should be a minimum of 20" in

diameter at 60" above the surface at which the user

stands. Determine flow rate is at least 20 GPM and

the water is tepid.

• With eyewash valve in fully opened position and

using a test gauge, the spray pattern should meet

required pattern. Determine flow rate is at least 0.4

GPM and the water is tepid.
