USER MANUAL

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing Toolland! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this

device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact

your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

For your own safety, read this manual carefully before using this

sprayer.

WARNING Do not open the tank while under pressure. –

WARNING Always follow the instructions supplied with weed killer, –

insecticides, and other toxic chemicals.

Always wear protective clothing, mask, gloves, boots and

glasses when spraying substances which could be harmful.

Avoid inhaling the sprayed substances and stand with the

wind in the back. Never spray in the direction of other

people or pets. Never use the pressure sprayer with

substances such as acids, alkali and highly toxic

pesticides.

• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the

device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Never direct the jet at people or animals. Serious injuries may

result.

• The sprayer should always be used in an upright position.

• When not in use, the sprayer should be stored in a dry location

and away from extreme temperatures.

• The sprayer is suitable for use with water, diluted plant feeds,

weed killer and insecticides. Do not attempt to use with other

fluids such as paint, wood stain, oil, fuel or solvents.

• Avoid spraying in strong winds.

• Wash thoroughly after use.

• Do not leave the sprayer unattended whilst pressurized.

• Clean and rinse the pressure sprayer thoroughly after each use

by spraying 1 to 2 litres of clear water. Do not dispose of your

clean-up water into the sewer system but spray onto the treated

crops.

• Lubricate the moving mechanic parts such as the suction tube

inside the pump with some petroleum jelly.

3. General Guidelines

• Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user

modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.

• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will

void the warranty.

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the

warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

• Nor Velleman Group nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage

(extraordinary, incidental or indirect) – of any nature (financial, physical…) arising from the

possession, use or failure of this product.

• Keep this manual for future reference.

4. Assembly

• Fit the lance assembly to the sprayer by means of the flexible hose.

• Remove the nut fitted to the lance.

• Insert the hose through nut.

• Push the hose fitting fully onto the lance connector.

• Screw nut tightly onto lance.

• Attach the other end of the hose to the container using the above method.

• Ensure that the hose is fully pushed on and that the nut is screwed down tight.

• Fit the carrying strap by threading the expandable ring through the hole in the lug moulded

into the container base.

• Fit the other end of the strap through the slot in the top lug and thread through the metal

buckle and adjust length to suit.
