NOTES ON DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

The electronic components of this product are recyclable. For the sake of the environment, do not throw them into the household trash at the end of their lifespan.

They must be delivered to a collection location for electronic waste, as indicated by the following symbol:

• An adult should insert and change the batteries.

• To operate the device, you will need three AAA batteries

(1.5-volt, type LR03), which could not be included in the kit

due to their limited shelf life.

• Avoid a short circuit of the batteries. A short circuit

can cause the wires to overheat and the batteries to

explode.

• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are

not to be mixed.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or

rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

•

Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity

(+ and –). Press them gently into the battery compartment.

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. They

could explode!

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult

supervision.

Safety for Experiments with Batteries:

• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.

• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

• Dispose of used batteries in accordance with

environmental provisions, not in the household trash.

• Avoid deforming the batteries.

• Do not leave the device in direct sunlight or expose it to

other sources of heat.

• IMPORTANT! Protect the device (excluding the

waterproof camera and arm) from moisture. Clean it

with a damp cloth and allow it to dry thoroughly before

using it again.

Quick Start:

1. Have an adult insert the

batteries (see Figure 1).

2. To turn on, hold the power button on the

back of the device for three seconds.

3. Bend the camera arm into the

desired position.

4. If necessary, turn on the LED light.

Use your spy camera to reveal even the most secret of hiding places.

The flexible camera arm lets you look around corners and walls, peer

into dark niches, and peek through small openings. The LED light next

to the camera lens provides enough light to illuminate even the

darkest surroundings, revealing secrets to you in real time on the

LCD display. No hiding place is safe from you!

1. How your Digital Snake Scope works:

• Have an adult insert the batteries into the device (see step 2 and figure 1).

• Turn the device on by holding the power button for three seconds.

Wait until the colored display turns on.

• Adjust the flexible camera arm so that it shows the area that you wish to observe

• If the area is too dark and you don’t see much on your screen, turn on the LED light.

Now the light will shine directly next to the camera lens.

• If you are in brightly-lit surroundings, you can place the sun shade

over the screen to make the screen easier to read.

• When you are done using the device, turn it off to preserve battery life.

Note! The camera arm and the camera lens are waterproof, but the LCD screen

and battery compartment are not. Be careful to keep the screen, grip, and battery

compartment dry!

2. How to insert the batteries:

IMPORTANT: An adult should insert and change the batteries.

• Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery

compartment. Lift off the cover. The screw will remain in the cover.

• Remove the old batteries (if applicable), and insert three new AAA batteries

(1.5-volt, type LR03). Pay attention to the correct polarity (see figure 1).

Close the battery compartment and use the screwdriver to screw the cover

back into place.
