SAFETY INFORMATION
Warnings
WARNING! Not suitable for children under 3
years. Choking hazard — small parts may be
swallowed or inhaled.
Keep the packaging and instructions as they
contain important information.
INSERTING THE BATTERY
To operate the metal detector, you will need one 9-volt alkaline battery (type 6LR61), which could not
be included in the kit due to its limited shelf life. An adult should insert and change the battery.
For instructions on how to insert and change the battery, see below.
Battery Safety
→ Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be
recharged. They could explode!
→ Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged
under adult supervision.
→ Rechargeable batteries are to be removed
from the toy before being charged.
→ Different types of batteries or new and used
batteries are not to be mixed.
→ Do not mix old and new batteries.
→ Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
→ Batteries are to be inserted with the correct
polarity. Press them gently into the battery
compartment.
→ Exhausted batteries are to be removed from
the toy.
→ The supply terminals are not to be short-
circuited.
→ Avoid a short circuit of the batteries. A short
circuit can cause the wires to overheat and the
batteries to explode.
→ Avoid deforming the batteries.
→ Dispose of used batteries in accordance
with environmental provisions, not in the
household trash.
Notes on environmental protection: The electronic components of this product are
recyclable/reusable. For the sake of the environment, do not throw them into the
household trash at the end of their lifespan. They must be delivered to a collection
location for electronic waste, as indicated by the following symbol:
Please contact your local authorities for the appropriate disposal location.
1. Use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to
remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Attach a 9 volt alkaline battery (not included)
to the battery terminal clip, making sure that
the (+) and (-) terminals are properly aligned.
3. Place the battery into the battery
compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and
re-install the screw, without over-tightening.

including gold, silver, iron, copper, and nickel. You can search for missing or lost coins,
pieces of jewelry, and other metal objects. It can also be used to hunt for antique treasures
from long ago.
It is important that you obey all laws when using your metal detector. Using a metal
detector is against the law in most parks. If you live in a city or town there may be local
laws that tell you where you can use a metal detector. Always ask for permission from the
property owner before you do any detecting on private property. Do not trespass on private
property.
When you find a metal object you may have to dig a small hole to retrieve it. Keep such
holes as small as possible and fill them in neatly when you are finished.
