Line Connection

CAUTION: The SX-N240 is designed for use with 20 Amp 208 Volt two-phase

services or 20 Amp 240 Volt split-phase services only. That is, services with

two hot wires (or phases), a neutral wire, and a ground wire. A neutral must

be connected to the SX-N240 even if it is not used for the load.

The SurgeX SX-N240 product is rated at a load capacity of 20 Amps per leg and

shall be wired only by qualied Electricians using 12 Ga. conductors as specied

in Article 310 of the 1999 National Electric Code, as set forth in Table 310-13.

Any type of conductor suitable for use in wet or dry locations such as (but not

limited to) THHN, THHW, THW, THWN, or TW shall be considered acceptable

if local Code permits. The service to which the product is connected must be

protected by a dual 20 Amp circuit breaker.

Connect the wires from the electrical service (line) to the upper terminal block

labeled ‘’ as follows:Line

•The two phases or hot wires to the two terminals 120V

•The White wire to Neutral

•The Ground wire to Ground
