About This Manual
This manual is written for system integrators, IT technicians, and knowledgeable end users.
It provides information for the installation and use of the X13DET-B motherboard, which is
intended to be used in a Supermicro proprietary server.
About This Motherboard
The Supermicro X13DET-B motherboard supports dual 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable
Processors (in Socket E LGA 4677) with four UPIs (16GT/s max.) and a TDP (Thermal
Design Power) up to 350W. Built with the Intel C741 chipset, the X13DET-B supports 4TB
(max) RDIMM DDR5 ECC memory with speeds up to 4800MT/s in 16 DIMM slots (Note 1
below). This motherboard features superior I/O expandability and exibility, including three
PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for riser cards, and storage devices, one PCIe 5.0 x8 slot (with two NVMe
M.2 devices supported), one PCIe 5.0 x8 SAS storage slot, îšżve PCIe 5.0 (x16/x8) slots with
support of 48 lanes for 12 NVMe connections, 12 SATA 3.0 ports via PCH, one NC-SI header,
one VGA port, one COM port, one USB connector (with two USB 3.0 ports supported),
and a dedicated BMC LAN on the rear I/O panel. It also o󰀨ers the most advanced data
protection with hardware RoT (Root of Trust) and TPM (Trusted Platform Module) support
(Note 2 below). The X13DET-B is optimized for Big Twin systems with High Performance
Computing (HPC) and Human-Computer Interface (HCI). It is ideal for Cloud Computing and
storage applications. Please note that all Supermicro products are intended to be installed
and serviced by professional technicians only. For processor/memory updates, please refer
to our website at http://www.supermicro.com/products/.
Note 1: Memory speed support depends on the processors used in the system.
