IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions before using the Stinger Cordless Insect
Zapper Lantern and keep for future reference.
1. WARNING: Keep unit and adaptor cord out of reach of children.
2. DO NOT use this product for anything other than its intended use.
3. The product should be powered only as described in this Owner’s
Manual or as marked on the unit.
4. Only use the AC adaptor that is provided with this unit. Using an adaptor
with different voltage, or one that is not intended for the unit, may cause
damage to unit, damage to personal property, or personal injury.
5. For outdoor residential use only.
Not intended for permanent installation or use.
6. DO NOT insert fingers or any foreign objects into the unit while it is
ON or connected to a power source.
7. Collected insects within the unit may contribute to fire. Clean dead
insects from the unit frequently.
8. DO NOT clean this product with water, spray cleaner or any other
liquids. DO NOT place where it can fall into water.
9. DO NOT cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part
of the product when in use.
10. DO NOT place the unit near heat, gas, oil, or other flammable materials.
11. Store product indoors when not in use – out of reach of children.
12. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, ALWAYS turn product OFF
and disconnect from power source before servicing, cleaning, and
changing bulbs.
13. All power connections should be kept off the ground and dry.
HOW THE STINGER CORDLESS INSECT ZAPPER LANTERN WORKS
The Stinger Cordless Insect Zapper Lantern is designed to attract and kill a wide range of flying insects.
The ultraviolet (UV) light given off by this unit is within the luminescent range proven effective to lure
these insects. Insects are attracted to the light and killed as they contact the electrically charged grid
area. Insects fall into the bug tray. The outer protective cage helps prevent pets, birds, butterflies, and
children’s fingers from contacting the charged grids. This unit is for outdoor residential use only.
CHOOSING A LOCATION
(Figure 1)
When selecting a location, please remember that insects will be lured to the unit. In Bug Zapping mode, the Stinger
Cordless Insect Zapper Lantern will effectively cover up to 900 sq. ft., approximately the size of a 30' x 30' deck or
patio space. For best results, hang or position the insect zapper between the source of insects (yard/woods) and
the area to be protected, but no more than 10-14 ft. from human activity.
OPERATION
Although the unit may come partially charged from the factory, we recommend that you fully charge
the battery using the AC adaptor before first use.
Only use the AC adaptor that is provided with this unit. Using an adaptor with different voltage, or one that is not
intended for the unit, may cause damage to unit, damage to personal property, or personal injury.
IMPORTANT:
Before first use, remove and discard the cardboard inserts from both the bug tray and grill.
1. To charge the unit, plug the AC adaptor into the charging port located on the side of the unit.
ALWAYS ensure that the unit is in the OFF position (
O
) when charging.
NOTE: This unit comes with a safety feature whereby if the bug tray is open, the unit will not operate.
Please ensure that the bug tray is fully closed before use.
2. Locate the Power switch on the back of the unit.
3. This Cordless Insect Zapper Lantern has 2 operating modes – Bug Zapping (UV) or Lantern-Only (LED).
a. (Figure 2) By pushing the switch to the side with 1 line (I), the unit will operate in Bug Zapping mode, using only the
insect zapping UV bulb. The LEDs will not operate in this mode.
b. (Figure 3) By pushing the switch to the side with 2 lines (II), the unit will operate as a Lantern, using LEDs only.
The insect zapping UV bulb will not operate in this mode.
4. Turn the unit OFF by positioning the switch in the center, indicated with a circle (
O
).
5. Using the available lure will add to the effectiveness of the unit by adding scent proven to attract more insects to the unit.
6. It is recommended that this unit be stored indoors during inclement weather.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit will not light, no apparent grid voltage
• Make sure the unit is charged.
• Make sure the bug tray is fully closed.
Unit will not light, grid has voltage
• Check bulb to make sure it is seated properly.
• Replace bulb if necessary.
Unit appears to be working properly but insect population
does not seem reduced
• Allow more time as it will take some time for insects to find
the unit.
• Try moving the unit to another area. If you are in between the
unit and the source of the insects, they will have to fly by you
to get to the unit and you may actually notice an increase in
insects.
Unit is constantly arcing (sparking)
• Clean the unit per the instructions in this manual.

CHANGING BULBS
(Figure 5)
Only use Stinger replacement bulbs. Bulbs should be replaced annually to maintain optimal UV effectiveness. Even though the bulb’s light may be visible
to you, its ability to attract insects diminishes over time. If the bulb fails to light or the color of the light changes to yellow or orange it is time to replace
the bulb. See PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS for bulb replacement type for your device.

INSTALLING THE NOSQUITO® MOSQUITO OCTENOL LURE
CLEANING
As the unit kills insects, most of the insect remains will fall down through the unit into the bug tray. Some debris may be left on the killing grid
or may accumulate in the base of the unit. This may reduce the effectiveness of the device. Check your device frequently and clean the unit
regularly. The time in between each cleaning will vary depending on your insect population and usage.
1. ALWAYS Before cleaning the unit, ensure the Power switch is in
the OFF position and the AC Adaptor is disengaged.
2. Remove bulb from unit to avoid damage (see Changing Bulbs
instructions above).
3. Using compressed air, remove any insect remains from the killing
grid and bottom of enclosure.
4. NEVER use water to clean the unit. Water may damage the
electrical components.
5. Be very careful not to move or adjust the metal killing grid in any
way.
6. Once the unit is clean, replace the bulb and bug tray.

Peel foil cover and snap (holed side down) into the built-in holder at the bottom of the Stinger
Cordless Insect Zapper Lantern (Figure 4).
Replace lure after 30 days.
1. Ensure unit is OFF and AC Adaptor is disengaged.
2. Remove bug tray and turn unit upside down.
3. Reach in and pull old bulb straight out to remove. Dispose of bulb properly.
4. (Figure 5) Insert new bulb making sure it is properly seated in the socket.
5. Return unit to upright position and replace bug tray.
Note: If unit fails to light after replacing bulb, disengage unit, remove the bulb and reseat it in the socket.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD

12. Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, APAGUE SIEMPRE
y desconecte el producto de la fuente eléctrica antes de dar
mantenimiento, limpiar y cambiar las bombillas.
13. Todas las conexiones eléctricas deben mantenerse secas y alejadas
del suelo.
El Farol Exterminador de Insectos Inalámbrico de Stinger está diseñado para atraer y exterminar una amplia
gama de insectos voladores. La luz ultravioleta (UV) emitida por esta unidad está dentro del rango de
luminiscencia que p2-ha probado ser eficaz para atraer a estos insectos. Los insectos son atraídos a la luz y
exterminados al ponerse en contacto con la rejilla interior cargada eléctricamente. Los insectos caen en la
bandeja de bichos. La jaula protectora exterior ayuda a impedir que las mascotas, aves, mariposas y los dedos
de los niños toquen las rejillas cargadas eléctricamente. Esta unidad es sólo para uso residencial exterior.
ESCOGER UNA UBICACIÓN
(Figure 1)
Al seleccionar una ubicación, debe recordar que los insectos serán atraídos a la unidad. En el modo Exterminador
de Insectos, el Farol Exterminador de Insectos Inalámbrico de Stinger cubrirá eficazmente hasta 83.6 m
2,
aproximadamente el tamaño de un patio o terraza de 10 x 10 m. Para mejores resultados, cuelgue o coloque el
exterminador de insectos entre
de la fuente de insectos (jardín/árboles) y el área a proteger, pero a no más de 3-4 m. de la actividad humana.
OPERACIÓN
A pesar de que la unidad pueda estar parcialmente cargada de fábrica, recomendamos que cargue
completamente la batería utilizando el adaptador de CA incluido antes de usar la unidad por primera vez.
Sólo use con el adaptador de CA proporcionado con esta unidad. Usar un adaptador con diferente voltaje, o uno que
no esté diseñado para la unidad, puede causar daños a la unidad, daños a la propiedad o lesiones personales.
IMPORTANTE:
Antes del primer uso, retire y deseche los insertos de cartón de la bandeja de bichos y la rejilla.
1. Para cargar la unidad, enchufe el adaptador de CA en el puerto de carga ubicado en el costado de la unidad. Asegúrese
SIEMPRE de que la unidad esté en la posición de APAGADO (
O
) durante la carga.
NOTA: Esta unidad contiene una característica de seguridad de que si la bandeja de bichos está abierta, la unidad no
operará. Asegúrese que la bandeja de bichos esté completamente cerrada antes de usar la unidad.
2. Localice el interruptor de Encendido en la parte trasera de la unidad.
3. Este Farol Exterminador de Insectos Inalámbrico tiene 2 modos de funcionamiento – Exterminador de Insectos (UV)
o Sólo Farol (LED).
a. (Figura 2) Al empujar el interruptor al lado de 1 línea (I), la unidad funcionará en el modo Exterminador de Insectos,
utilizando sólo la bombilla UV exterminadora de insectos. Las luces LED no operaran en este modo.
b. (Figura 3) Al empujar el interruptor al lado de 2 líneas (II), la unidad funcionará como un Farol, utilizando sólo
luces LED. La bombilla UV exterminadora de insectos no funcionará en este modo.
4. Para APAGAR la unidad coloque el interruptor en la posición central, indicada con un círculo (
O
).
5. Al utilizar el señuelo disponible agregará efectividad a la unidad añadiendo un aroma probado en atraer más insectos
a la unidad.
6. Se recomienda guardar la unidad en interiores durante condiciones de tiempo inclementes.

CÓMO FUNCIONA EL FAROL EXTERMINADOR DE INSECTOS INALÁMBRICO DE STINGER
DIAGNÓSTICO Y SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
La unidad no se enciende, no parece haber voltaje en la rejilla.
• Asegúrese que la unidad esté cargada.
• Asegúrese que la bandeja de bichos esté completamente
cerrada.
La unidad no se enciende, la rejilla tiene voltaje.
• Revise la bombilla para asegurarse que esté bien colocada.
• Cambien la bombilla si es necesario.
La unidad parece estar funcionado bien pero la población de
insectos no parece disminuir.
• Permita que pase más tiempo, p2-ya que los insectos se tardarán
algún tiempo en encontrar la unidad.
• Intente mover la unidad a otra área en el patio. Si usted está
entre la unidad y la fuente de los insectos, estos tendrán de
volar hacia usted para llegar a la unidad y usted notará un
aumento en el número de insectos.
La unidad está formando constantemente un arco eléctrico
(chispeando).
• Limpie la unidad de acuerdo a las instrucciones en este manual.

CAMBIO DE BOMBILLAS
(Figure 5)
Use sólo bombillas de reemplazo Stinger. Las bombillas deben ser reemplazadas anualmente para mantener la óptima eficacia UV. Aunque la luz de la
bombilla pueda ser visible para usted, su capacidad de atraer insectos disminuye con el paso del tiempo. Si la bombilla no enciende o si el color de la luz
cambia a amarillo o anaranjado es momento de cambiar la bombilla. Vea las ESPECIFICACIONES DEL PRODUCTO para el tipo de bombilla de reemplazo
de su dispositivo.

Desprenda la cubierta de aluminio y encaje en el soporte integrado en la parte inferior de la
Linterna Exterminadora de Insectos Inalámbrica ( 4). Figura
Reemplace el señuelo después de 30 días.
LIMPIEZA
Como la unidad mata insectos, la mayoría de sus restos serán vaporizados o caerán a través de la unidad. Algunos restos se quedarán en las rejillas
o se acumularán en la base de la unidad. Esto puede reducir la eficacia del dispositivo. Revise su unidad frecuentemente y límpiela con regularidad.
El tiempo entre cada limpieza variará dependiendo de la población de insectos.
1. SIEMPRE Antes de limpiar la unidad, asegúrese que el interruptor esté
en posición APAGADO y el Adaptador de CA esté desconectado.
2. Retire la bombilla de la unidad para evitar daños (consulte las
instrucciones anteriores de Cambio de Bombillas).
3. Utilizando aire comprimido, retire cualquier resto de insecto de la rejilla
exterminadora y del recinto inferior.
4. NUNCA utilice agua para limpiar la unidad. El agua puede dañar los
componentes eléctricos.
5. Tenga mucho cuidado de no mover o ajustar de ninguna manera las
rejillas de metal.
6. Una vez que la unidad esté limpia, vuelva a colocar la bombilla y la
bandeja de bichos.
Nota: Si la unidad no se enciende después de cambiar la bombilla, desconecte la unidad, retire la bombilla y vuélvala a
colocar en el portabombillas.
INSTALACIÓN DEL SEÑUELO NOSQUITO
®
DE OCTANOL PARA MOSQUITOS
1. Asegúrese que la unidad esté APAGADA y el Adaptador de CA desconectado.
2. Retire la bandeja de bichos y coloque la unidad de lado.
3. Alcance y jale hacia afuera para sacar la bombilla vieja. Deseche la bombilla adecuadamente.
4. Inserte la bombilla nueva asegurándose que esté colocada correctamente en el portalámparas (Figura 5).
5. Regrese la unidad a la posición vertical y vuelva a colocar la bandeja de bichos.
