Turning On the Power



Preparing/Setting Up the Conguration App

Use the conguration app to set up the product from a

tablet or PC.

Scan the QR code below or search the app to access the

download site.

Connect a tablet/PC and a cash drawer to communicate with

the product according to your environment.

Set Wireless LAN

Star Windows Software is software available for Windows PCs, allow-

ing users to check the product operations and congure settings.

1. Download [ Star Windows Software ].

2. Select [Extract All...] to extract the downloaded software and run

"Setup.exe".

3. Follow the instructions on the screen and complete software instal-

lation.

Set Wireless LAN

iOS/Android

When the setup is nished, the app will display "Setup Complete".

This indicates that the product has successfully connected to the

network and received an IP address.

Congure the settings using Star Quick Setup Utility

Launch the app, and select [ Start Guide (Initial Settings) ] -

[ Use Wireless LAN ].

When the setup is nished, the app will display "Setup Complete".

This indicates that the product has successfully connected to the

network and received an IP address.

Congure the settings using Star Windows Software

From the Windows start menu, select [ All apps ] - [ Star Win-

dows Software ] - [ Wireless LAN Utility ].

Launch the app, and select [ MCD10UEWB ] - [ Use Wireless

LAN ].

Use a USB cable to connect the main unit to the power source.

When Using Windows

Star Quick Setup Utility is an app available for iOS/Android devices.

You can check product operations and configure settings. Also, it

provides useful features including wireless communication settings.

For wireless LAN settings

The app offers easy-to-follow guidance in establishing a wireless

connection and supports users with troubleshooting.



Connecting a Tablet/PC

USB-C port

Use a USB cable to connect to a USB power adapter or PC to power

the main unit. Also, it is used to connect to Android, Windows,

Mac, or Linux for communication.

LAN port

Use a LAN cable to connect to the network.

Port for driving external devices

Connect a cash drawer. Prioritize using this port (marked with

Cash Drawer) to connect the cash drawer.

Port for driving external devices

Connect the buzzer or a second cash drawer.

LED Indicator

Indicates the status of the product (see table below).

If Communication Trouble Cannot be Resolved

If you have problems with communication settings, you can reset the

communication settings to factory settings by following the procedure

below.

1. If a LAN cable is connected, disconnect it. Then, turn on the product's

power. The LED will light up solid blue or green.

2. Use a ne-tipped object, such as a pen, to press and hold the RESET switch.

Release the switch when the LED turns red.

3. The reset process is complete. The LED will turn solid blue.

The product can be attached and secured on the cash drawer by

less), Bluetooth device address, and MAC address (wired).

Information necessary for the product setup is indicated on

"Product Information Label" that is temporarily attached to the

bottom of the product.

To avoid losing it, please store the label in a set location or re-

attach it to a position suitable for your operation environment.

In either case, choose a location or position while carefully

considering security.

ID Label

To use wireless LAN, disconnect the LAN cable. When a wired LAN

connection is used, wired LAN communication is prioritized.

Ask your network administrator about the SSID and Security Key of

the network to be connected.

This product supports only the 2.4 GHz band. During setup, connect

your device to a 2.4 GHz band network. After setup is complete, you

may switch to a 5 GHz network if needed.
