Funktionsbeschreibung

Der SPATZ SINGLECAT ist gänzlich anders aufgebaut, als die

herkömmlichen Extender von Wettbewerbern.

Es wird nur ein CAT5e/6/7 Kabel (massive Innenleiter) für die

Übertragung von Ton und Bild benötigt. Zusätzlich überträgt

das System einen IR Rückkanal für IR von 20–80 kHz und RS-

232 Steuersignale bis zu 190kbaud.

Da der Extender auch noch 10/100BaseT Signale übertragen

kann, können Sie vorhandene Strecken nun zusätzlich zur

Übertragung von HDMI/DVI Video einsetzen. Damit keine

zusätzlichen Switches benötigt werden, hat sowohl der

Empfänger wie auch Sender einen 3-Port Switch eingebaut.

Mit guten CAT6 Kabeln können Distanzen bis 150m bei 1080p

überbrückt werden. Damit meiner wir aber nicht die Billigkabel

fernöstlicher Provinienz sondern ein hochwertiges UTP

Verlegekabel eines europäischen Anbieters mit mind. 24AWG.

Das System verwendet alle 4 Adernpaare einer CAT5,6 oder

CAT7 Leitung !

In selten Fällen kann es wegen HDCP Kommunikation dazu

kommen, dass kein Bild angezeigt wird. In diesem Fall alle

Geräte inkl. das Display vom Strom trennen und neu

einschalten.

ACHTUNG !

Der Bypass Out am Sender dient lediglich zu Testzwecken und

kann im Standardbetrieb nicht als zweiter Ausgang eingesetzt

werden. Sobald am Bypass Out ein Display angeschlossen ist,

schaltet sich der Ausgang des SINGLECAT-RX ab !

Das System wird vom SINGLECAT-TX versorgt, der Empfänger

wird durch das UTB Kabel ferngespeist.

Nach Trennung vom Strom startet das System selbstständig.

EDID:

Das EDID des Displays wird transparent übertragen, so dass

das SINGLECAT auch mit 3D Formaten voll kompatibel ist.

Functional description

The SPATZ SINGLECAT is a completely different design than

what you can find from other vendors.

Simply connect one CAT5e/6/7 cable to the GIGALINK port of

the RX and TX device.

The SINGLECAT system uses all 4 pairs of a CAT5,6 or CAT7

cable !

Additionally the system will pass IR signale (20-80kHz) from RX

to TX device for remote controlling of source equipment. The

bidirectional RS-232 ports allow remote control of any hardware

up to 190kbaud.

Since the extender also extends 10/100BaseT you may use your

existing cabling to transmit HD/PC Video over one UTP cable

without sacrifying your IP network.

The 3-port switch provides convenient expandability for your IP

system.

With good quality CAT6 and solid cores (24AWG) you may

achieve 150m/500ft transmission distance with 1080p signals.

CAT5e or CAT5 can reduce this distance to 70m/210ft so it is

mandatory to conduct tests if the quality of the installed cable is

unknown.

In very odd circumstances it might happen that due to HDCP

communication it will look like the system is not passing the

video. Usually this can be fixed be repowering the display or the

receiver unit.

ATTENTION !

The HDMI Bypass Out is only a port for tests at the TX Side,

and cannot be used for standard operation. If a display is

connected at the Bypass Out the SINGLECAT-RX output is

disabled !

The system is remote powered through the SINGLECAT-TX,

there is no power connector at the RX side.

After repowering the unit is returning to its previous state.

EDID:

The unit tranparently transmits the display EDID so it is also

fully compliant with 3D video formats.

MODE indicates that the units are trying to connect
