The model and serial numbers to be recorded are located in the following places.
YY2102C (SA-SW9): two places. between the speaker units and on the side of the speaker
YY2103C (SA-SW8): the bottom of the speaker
Do not install the product in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet.
To reduce the risk of fire, do not cover the ventilation opening of the unit with newspapers, tablecloths,
curtains, etc. Do not expose the unit to naked flame sources (for example, lighted candles).
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to dripping or splashing, and do
not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the product.
The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall
outlet, even if the unit itself has been turned off.
Install the unit so that the power cord can be unplugged from the wall socket immediately in the event
of trouble.
This product has magnet(s) which may interfere with pacemakers, programmable shunt valves for
hydrocephalus treatment, or other medical devices. Do not place this product close to persons who use
such medical devices. Consult your doctor before using this product if you use any such medical device.

This unit complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and
meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines. This unit should be installed and operated
keeping the radiator at least 20 cm or more away from person’s body.
Compliance with FCC requirement 15.407(c)
Data transmission is always initiated by software, which is passed down through the MAC, through the
digital and analog baseband, and finally to the RF chip. Several special packets are initiated by the MAC.
These are the only ways the digital baseband portion will turn on the RF transmitter, which it then turns
off at the end of the packet. Therefore, the transmitter will be on only while one of the aforementioned
packets is being transmitted. In other words, this unit shall automatically discontinue transmission in
case of either absence of information to transmit or operational failure.
Frequency Tolerance: ±15 ppm
FCC regulations restrict operation of this unit to indoor use only. The operation of this unit is prohibited
on oil platforms, in automobiles, trains, maritime vessels, and aircraft, except that operation of this unit
in the 5.925GHz – 6.425GHz band is permitted in large aircraft while flying above 3048m (10000ft).
Operation of transmitters in the 5.925GHz – 7.125GHz band is prohibited for control of or
communications with unmanned aircraft systems.
For customers in Canada
This unit contains licence-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation, Science and
Economic Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:
(1) This unit may not cause interference; and
(2) This unit must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of
the unit.
This unit complies with ISED radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and
meets RSS-102 of the ISED radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules. This unit should be installed and
operated keeping the radiator at least 20 cm or more away from person’s body.
5 150 MHz – 5 350 MHz band is restricted to indoor operations only.
Operation shall be limited to indoor use only. The operation on oil platforms, in automobiles, trains,
maritime vessels, and aircraft shall be prohibited except for large aircraft flying above 3048m
(10000ft).
Devices shall not be used for control of or communications with unmanned aircraft systems.

Precautions
On the power cord
The supplied AC power cord (mains lead) is designed exclusively for this unit. It should not be used in
combination with any other devices.
Completely disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the AC outlet (mains) if it is not going to
be used for an extended period of time. When unplugging the AC power cord (mains lead), always
grip the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
If the AC power cord (mains lead) is damaged, contact your nearest Sony dealer or the store you
purchased the product from for a replacement.
On placement
Do not place the unit near heat sources or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, or
mechanical shock.
Place this unit on a flat, level surface. When placed on a sloped surface, the unit may fall over or fall off
the surface due to its own vibration, resulting in injuries, malfunctions, or performance degradation.
Use caution when placing the unit on a surface that has been specially treated (with wax, oil, polish,
etc.), as staining or discoloration of the surface may result.
The speakers of this unit are not of magnetically shielded type. Do not place magnetic cards on the
unit or near it.
Do not place metal objects other than a TV around the unit. Wireless functions may be unstable.
YY2102C (SA-SW9): Always have two people unpack and carry the unit.
How to care for the unit
Clean the unit with a soft cloth slightly moistened with neutral detergent. Do not use any type of
abrasive pad, scouring powder, or solvent such as alcohol or benzine.
Notes on transferring/disposing
Be sure to reset the unit, deleting private information and setting information before transferring/
disposing.
If the unit is transferred or disposed without resetting, private information may be inspected by a third
person and abused.

Other notes
Do not insert foreign objects from the opening of the speaker.
If a foreign object or water gets into the unit, turn off the unit immediately, unplug the unit from the
AC outlet (mains), and consult with your nearest Sony dealer or the store you purchased the product
from.
Data Processing Related to Internet Connection and System Software Update
When this product connects to the internet, Sony Corporation (“Sony”) will process your IP address.
Additionally, when this product needs to perform an update to receive the latest operating system
software, display Privacy Policy through the “Sony | BRAVIA Connect” app or receive third party
services, Sony will process IP address, version information of Privacy Policy, software version and
country/region code of this product. If you do not want such data to be processed, do not set-up the
wireless internet function.
Please note that the legal basis under EU law for Sony processing the above data for your internet
connection and the provisions of software updates are the performance of the contract we have with
you.

When connecting the unit to the Internet, use the router (ADSL modem or optical line termination
device with the router function supplied with the Internet provider, or Wireless LAN access point). If
you connect to the Internet without using the router, a security problem may occur. If you are not sure
that the wall outlet for the network line has the router function, ask your manager of the apartment
house or Internet provider.
