• Make sure that the product has not been damaged during transport. Do not

use if damaged.

• Risk of burns! The plate and the handles become very hot. Wear dry oven

gloves or potholders when handling the product.

• Do not allow fatty foods to burn. Oils and fats ignite easily if overheated.

• Always monitor the plate when it is in use.

• Do not use sharp metal utensils and do not cut food on the plate to avoid

damages to the non-stick coating.

• Make sure that the handles are tight before use as they may loosen with use.

Check periodically and tighten if necessary.

The SMEG griddle is a high quality product made of aluminium with a durable non-stick

coating.

The material of the base makes it perfect for all types of hobs: Induction, Gas, Ceramic

and Electric.

Remember to remove the silicone inserts if you do not have an induction hob.

Before using the griddle for the first time, remove all packaging and labels and wash with

soapy water. Then rinse the product with detergent and warm water using a cloth or the

soft side of a sponge.

1 Place the product on the hob

2 Heat the griddle before use

3 Lower the power and cook the dishes, making sure to turn the food.

The accessory works best and automatically on hobs having a Multizone with Grill

function.

If your hob does not have this feature, use the largest diameter area and preheat the

griddle for 2/3 minutes at maximum power; then lower the power and start cooking.

Keep the plate as far away from the display as possible to avoid overheating the electrical

components.
