Stripsuseslowpowerradiosignalstocommunicatewithyour

Z-Wavecontroller.Forbestresults,pleaseconsiderthefollowing:

•Stripsaredesignedtofitinvisiblyinbetweenmostwood,

aluminum,andplasticdoorandwindowframes.

•Stripsshouldnotbemounteddirectlyonmagneticsurfaces

orwithinametalstructureastherangewillbereduced.

•Stripsrangeisupto40meters.

•Anynon-batteryZ-Wavedevicewillactasarepeaterto

increasenetworkreliabilityandrange.Usageofrepeaterswill

reduceStrips’batterylife.

Forgoodfunctionalityinthedoororwindow

•ToplaceStripsinvisibly,youneedagapwithaminimum

heightof3.5mm.

•Stripsmaybemountedontheframe(recommended)

andthemagnetonthedoor/window,orviceversa.

•Checkthatmagnet(A)canbeplacedsothatitisless

than10mmfromStrips’flatendwhenthewindowisclosed.

Whenthewindowisopen,themagnetshouldbeatleast

30mmawayfromStrips.

•Openthedoor/windowfullytocheckthattheplacementof

Stripsandthemagnetdoesnotinterferewithhingesor

lockingmechanisms.

TocorrectlymountStrips,pleasefollowthestepsbelow:

1.Makesurethesurfaceisclean,dryandatleast+10°C(+50°F)

Usetheincludedclothtocleanandpreparethesurfaces.

2.RemovetheshortprotectivefilmfromthesmallStrips

testadhesive.Thesmalladhesiveisusedbeforethefinal

placementsoitiseasytomoveStripsifneeded.

3.PlaceStripswhereyouwantitmounted.Checktheposition

bycarefullyclosingthedoor/windowandthenopeningit

completelyagain.

4.Measureandidentifywherethemagnet(A)shouldbe

placed.Removetheprotectivefilmandplacethemagnet.

CloseandopenagaintovalidatethatyourZ-Wave

controllerdetectedthechanges.Re-mountifneeded.

5.Whenyouaresatisfied,marktheexactpositionforStrips.

Removeitfromitsposition,ensurethatthesurfaceisstill

clean,removethelongfilmprotectingtheadhesivebacking

andplaceStripsexactlyasyoumarked.Thelongadhesiveis

usedtomakethefinalplacementofStrips.

6.Checkthatthedoor/windowcanbefullyclosedandopened

andthatyourZ-Wavecontrollerdetectsthechanges.

7.Keeptheroundmagnet(B);sinceitcanbeusedtowakeup,

removeorresetStripsinthefuture.

add/removewassuccessful.

Followtheinstructionsfor“Wakeup”above,butonthe3rdrepetition,leavethe
