Safety instructions
• Read the operating instructions carefully before installing or operating
the appliance.

• Do not open the appliance as it does not contain any serviceable parts.
Ambient conditions
The standards used to assess the product specify limit values for use in
residential, commercial and small business environments, which means
that the product is intended for use in these operating environments:
• Residential buildings/living spaces such as houses, fl ats, rooms, etc.
Sales areas such as shops, hypermarkets, etc.
• Small business premises such as workshops, service centres, etc.
• All locations are characterised by the fact that they are connected to the
public low-voltage network
Intended use
The SHT 217 | 218 | 227 | 228 pump control units are devices for detecting
changes in water level and monitoring pump sumps. As soon as the sen-
sor | mini fl oat switch comes into contact with water, a connected pump
is switched on. The overrun time of the pump can be set from 0 to 100
seconds using the setting wheel on the device. Depending on the device, a
visual warning signal appears or an acoustic warning also sounds.
